Guild cards. These were what qualified one as an adventurer and allowed them to conduct business and take on requests. While they were called cards, really, they were just special holo-pads issued by the Adventurer's guild. Under normal circumstances, one would need to graduate from the academy to be issued one, but there were exceptions.

"Alright, and how many guild cards are you looking to get today?" the receptionist asked.
