The adventurers took a minute to get their shit together, after the realization that they are so fucked, but that minute is a minute too long! By the time they started running to exit, those dreaded teeth were already halfway in sealing their only way out! Along with the amalgamation of appendages ever closing in.
The leader of the group looked back and told them to run faster, which didn't even need to be said especially since he was the one that was the least agile member of their party, with his class being priests, the other member quickly overcame him. As they ran through the dark tunnels it soon became apparent, that he was going to have to make a hard choice. Or so one would think.
as he looked at the warrior with a devilish smile, he knew what he had to do. He yelled at the warrior to stop and to use his [ground smash] ability in hopes to slow down the fast-approaching hands and to try to buy time, in truth this should work however unbeknownst to the warrior the leader knew it would do nothing. That's because he noticed something the others didn't and that those hands were way beyond their level each hand was double the boss's level!
Their group was barely in the level 50 tier 2 range, there was no way they could fight monsters that were tier 3 up. As the warrior came to a stop to perform his move the priest relished in his passing of the warrior who stopped, as if mocking the warrior for being all brawn no brains. However, the warrior thought differently for one had to listen to the leader in an emergency, for if one questioned the leader during such time, well one doesn't need to explain the consequences of such action.
Hell! He even thought he was saving his friend's life. So, with a smile on his face, the warrior waited until the hands got close enough, and just when those dark droopy hands, that were oozing out some unknown red-purple substance with white-black like flame covering, were just about to touch him he used the skill [Ground smash].
This caused the ground to shake and blow a thick dust cloud into the air. The warrior not being as dumb as the priest, didn't stay to see if the skill did anything but immediately turned the other way to catch up with his team. Sadly, for the warrior he was too late as one of the appendages grabbed hold of his right leg which caused him to look back, he then came to a realization that his move didn't stun nor knockback nor did anything of the short to the appendages.
He blocked with his shield and tried to slice at the appendages only for it to do nothing. Panic started to sink in as he unleashed all kinds of warrior skills only for them to fail!! And with each failure more and more disgusting appendages started to grab hold of him! When it looked like they were going to rip him apart. He saw a giant skull that looked like it was pieced together by many different types of creature bones! Its nose was partly that of a bird beak and something else, its teeth were human teeth, its eyes were as large as giants, its cranium was that of an elongated ape skull, coming out of the side of the skull were the ears would be were bird claws, one bird claws had a giant bear skull and a giant wolf skull in the other.
The main skull also has what looks like a cow horn protruding from its forehead. The lower jaw was made up of thousands of hands all clumped together to form what one would consider a lower chin. All the while a white-black flame shined the eye socket while also oozing a red teal-colored liquid as if it were tears.
The warrior could do nothing but just stare in awe at the new foe, while still in shock the skull then opened its mouth and unleashed a terrible loud scream. This causes all matters of debuff to land on all of the adventurers such as [Greater weakness] [Greater Fear] [ Greater Madness] etc... Unable to move he could do nothing but watch and scream as the appendages tossed him into the giant mouth to join them in un-death.
As he lay inside the mouth he was slowly being burned by the White black flame, while at the same time, the hands were feeling him out as if searching for something. When they didn't find what they were looking for the appendages suddenly started to grow mouths all over their bodies and started to cry and rip the warrior into pieces.
When it was all over, while bathing in the warrior blood the appendages continued to cry in a seemingly truthful mournfulness of loss. The leader however didn't even look back as he heard his former tank dying cries. He just ran and ran to make it to the exit, Seeing the way almost shut he had no choice but to order the ranger to use his team's short burst speed skill even knowing the cost it would bring to the ranger later but now wasn't the time to worry about it.
Just right when the ranger was two feet to freedom, the leader started to panic; he needed more time! So, he ordered the ranger to hold the teeth back or find a way to keep the exit open. The ranger having no time to think quickly used the only root skill he had which was [Sticking Bomb]. It worked in keeping the teeth from continuing their course, but the drawback was that the skill couldn't tell friend from foe or even the caster, all were equal in their effect radius.
In his panic he got stuck, [Great fear debuff, in effect] while trying to pull himself out the leader ran past him without sparring a second. Until the leader realized something very important. That the fact was the ranger had the book! There was no way he was just going to give up on what could be a golden opportunity.
When the ranger suddenly saw his leader return to him, he was overjoyed, to say the least. Unfortunately, his hope where for not for he simply ran up, with staff in hand and with the spell enhanced skill applied to it [Enhance Holy damage +5] [ Gives it a cool glowing white animation] and proceeded to slam his chest in, which did successfully knock the wind out of him. The priest then reached down and picked up the book the ranger just dropped from the sudden shock of events.
The priest then looked that bitch in the eye and said thank you for your hard work now would you please die for me [under the effect of Greater Madness]. All the priest heard on his way out was [Effected by madness] " Ha Ha… you fucking bast…."! Then silence. As he stood at the exit of what he believed to be a dungeon, he looked back into the dark cave only to notice something.
The dungeon entrance didn't look like some cave in a mountain, instead, it resembled that of a skull. They didn't notice it earlier when they first entered, but now seeing how some of the dirt and loose rock fell after all the dungeon shaking. He can see it more clearly, that the cave wasn't a cave at all! But an empty eye socket! It was staring right at him! Before he could even react, He heard a strange noise that sounded like yawning, and then the skull started to move as if waking up from a very long nap.
He just stood there in amazement as he witnessed a sight he would never forget. He saw what he believed to be a mountain. Wasn't really a mountain but the body of a huge whale-like creature that was buried for God knows how long. It just stared at him for a minute, but to him it felt like an eternity. When he heard the creature starting to move again he didn't waste any time and pulled out his one-time use [Teleport Scroll]. Now starting at the spot where the generic adventure once stood the undead like whale simply turned its head away and started to effortlessly push the earth away going back underground as if it the hard earth was but water.
