37. Arka Change

"Eh?"

In the morning, as usual Calvin and Dhian were punished together. But there was something strange this morning, both of them were surprised because someone they knew very well ran in front of them. The figure had served their sentence with them, but this was the first time he had been late.

"Did I see wrong?"

Dhian shook her head. "No, I saw it too, Vin."

"What are you talking about?"

Calvin and Dhian looked at each other. "It turns out he really..."

"Arka?"

"Hn? What?"

"Aren't you usually late?" Calvin asked confused.

Arka snorted. "Is it weird if a student is late for school?"

"It is just..."

"Are you in trouble, Arka?"

Dhian asked worriedly seeing the look on Arka's face which was different from usual, although Arka's gaze was always cold and flat. But Dhian knew that there was something different from Arka's current gaze and Calvin began to notice it.

"What are you doing, bro?"

"Not a big problem."

The situation became quiet, Arka didn't seem to want to talk about anything. Meanwhile, Calvin and Dhian still felt awkward with each other, causing them to drift into silence until they finished their sentence.

"Arka, you didn't go to the cafeteria?"

"Not."

"Just go with me."

Dhian flinched because Olivia suddenly came and put her arm around her shoulder, but in the end Dhian went with Olivia to the canteen. The girl left Arka hesitantly, even though she wanted to talk to Arka. But what if it was like this.

"What do you want, Dhian?"

"Leave me alone."

"No, no! I'll order the food."

"But-"

"Dhian."

"Hah..."

"Just salads."

"Eh? Wow... are you on a diet? Haha..."

Diana's face heated up. "It is not like that..."

"Yes, yes.. I understand."

Olivia went to order food and soon Calvin and his other friends came to where Dhian was, Dhian turned when she felt movement beside her and her eyes accidentally met Calvin's eyes.

At that time Dhian turned his face away from Calvin, Olivia who came to bring her food order understood and then kicked Calvin and his other friends.

"Hey, let's just us girls here!"

"Huh? What are you doing?!"

"You guys are too annoying!"

"What did you say?!"

"Let us talk alone! Go you guys!"

"Oh my gosh, Oliv..." Dhian muttered, staring in disbelief.

Olivia coded to Dhian as if to say something without speaking. "Let me clean it up."

"Let's go somewhere else," Calvin said.

"Huh? Why? Not usually..."

"Come on."

Calvin got up and looked for a table some distance from Dhian's place, making her friends confused by the man's attitude. While Olivia looked at Dhian enthusiastically, as if expecting something from the girl.

"So? Something happened?"

"Eh?"

"That.. you with Calvin, it seems something is up."

"Oh, that..."

"Yes?" Olivia asked curiously.

"There isn't anything."

"Huh? Seriously.. even though I'm already too curious, you really won't say it huh?"

"Um..."

"Isn't Calvin a handsome man?"

"It..."

Dhian agrees with Olivia's words about the handsome Calvin, but actually Dhian thinks all men are handsome, nothing bad in her eyes. But yesterday's incident was really strange and realized Dhian, Calvin is her perfect best friend.

"Hey, I have something to tell you."

"What?"

"I.. fell in love! Kyaaaaaa! And that at first sight knew..."

"Eh?"

"Actually I've liked him for a long time, but.. he finally saw me!"

"How?"

"He approached me and asked for the name of my Instagram account..! Hah..! I'm so happy, Dhian!"

"Congratulations," she mumbled, smiling.

Olivia nodded. "Since I'm having fun, I'll treat you this time."

"Eh? No need."

"It's okay, are you rejecting my good intentions?" Olivia asked on her hips.

"Not like that..."

"Then just accept it."

"Hah..."

"Dhian, you want to see how handsome he is?"

Dhian turned her head curiously and Olivia showed her cellphone screen to Dhian with a big smile, Dhian was surprised, the girl expressed disbelief.

"What do you think? He's too handsome, right?"

Dhian nodded. "He really suits you."

"Kyaaaaaa! Thanks, Dhian! Hey, he's really cool. You should see how serious he is at work, the young CEO who's even still in college in his final semester."

"That's great..." Dhian muttered in a trembling voice.

"Oh? Of course, but why.. you look like that? He's also human just like us, too much. Did you fall in love after seeing the photo I created?"

"Not..."

"Then?"

"Oliv, you've got your food."

"Gosh, right! For you to remind me, Dhian."

Dhian smirked while enjoying her fruit salad, the girl waited for the bell to come in so Olivia wouldn't ask her something that Dhian couldn't answer. And not long after, the bell finally rang and Olivia immediately pulled Dhian to class.

"Satria," Arjuna nudged Satria's arm.

"What?!"

"So fierce.. so.. after knowing that what are you going to do?"

Satria closed his eyes and walked away from the cafeteria, but he went to his class, making Arjuna who followed him feel confused.

"You want to skip?"

"Yes."

Arjuna rubbed his forehead. "So this is how people are heartbroken? Haha..."

"Hey," Satria called hissed. "Haven't you gone too far?"

"What?"

"Don't follow me if you want to know me, that's why Arka doesn't like your character."

"Hey, why bring up that?" asked Arjuna confused.

"Why? Are you angry?"

Arjuna swings and Satria immediately leaves, the man goes behind the school building. The goal is to be alone, but the man finds Arka smoking.

"Arka?"

"Eh?"

Arka immediately dropped a cigarette because he was surprised by Satria's presence, actually Arka smoked only when he felt hurt. He did it again at school after a long time, but he was caught by his classmates instead.

"You smoke too?" asked Satria doubtfully.

"Only certain times..."

"Share one of your cigarettes, Ar."

"Eh?"

Arka gave one of his cigarettes to Satria and they finally smoked together while sitting next to each other, the two men seemed to issue their complaints by smoking cigarettes.

"Are we experiencing the same thing huh?" asked Satria laughing sadly.

"Hn? Are you heartbroken?"

"Is that right?"

"Hah.. people like us are unlucky."

"Yeah...so sad..."
