40. About Promise

Dhian listens to Satria's story carefully, it turns out that the story of Satria and Olivia's friendship is more than what she imagined. Actually the story sounds romantic and flawless in the slightest, but unfortunately only Satria has more feelings.

"Oh, I see..."

He rubbed his face roughly. "That's why I can't continue to be with Via."

"Why?"

"You're still asking why? We both know that Via likes another man, while I like her. How can I stay beside her as long as she likes someone else? How do I feel? Do I have to keep seeing things like that?"

Dhian looked down. "Sorry..."

"I can't do it, what stupid guy would approach a girl who blatantly likes another guy, I.. I look even more pathetic."

Satria walked away leaving Dhian who was still silent in her place, not long after, Olivia came up to Dhian on a park bench beside the school. The girl was very curious about what Dhian and Satria were talking about earlier, she accidentally saw them from inside the classroom.

"Did you hear that?"

She shook her head. "I just saw you guys, he looks serious talk."

"Umm.. actually it's nothing, Satria just told his story since childhood."

"Together with me huh? Huh.. lest he badmouth me, even though he is very annoying."

Dhian smiled at Olivia who kept talking about Satria angrily and in the end Olivia stopped talking, remembering how Satria had been acting towards her recently.

Dhian noticed Olivia's gaze which became sad and her eyes filled with tears, Dhian was confused about what to do if the situation was like this. Actually, Satria is also innocent if he avoids Olivia, but something like this shouldn't happen.

During the second period, Olivia kept looking at Satria's empty chair. Everything felt strange, the girl didn't know what big mistake she had made to make Satria like this. Wanted to ask, but Satria even avoided it before he could speak.

It's always like that, Satria starts to become invisible around Olivia making Olivia confused and feeling different things without Satria's presence. The girl has no right to be angry at Satria, but Satria shows too much dislike for Olivia.

Now, during school hours, Olivia deliberately waits for Satria to come home and Olivia quickly walks in front of the man. Olivia purposely walked in the middle of the road, she even seemed deaf when she heard the driver reprimand her.

"Hey, don't walk in the middle of the road!"

"Get off to the side!"

"Do you want to die?!"

"You young girl..."

Duaakkk

When Olivia walked to the side, the girl actually knew if there was a motorcyclist about to pass by because she saw her on the side of the road and finally the girl was grazed and slightly thrown.

"Sorry!"

The motorcyclist apologized, but instead drove his motorbike as if he didn't want to be responsible. Meanwhile, Olivia smiled because she saw Satria walking quickly towards her.

Deg

Olivia stared blankly because Satria passed her just like that, but Olivia didn't want to look too pathetic and she tried to stand up alone. The girl ran after Satria and held his hand.

"Why are you like this?! You promised to protect me and never let something like this happen again! But why?!"

"Weren't you the one who wanted something like this to happen?" asked Satria without looking back.

Olivia's eyes widened. "Eh?"

"You're an adult, you should be more careful, right?"

"You promised to take care of me! That's your promise!"

"Who do you think You Are?"

Olivia was shocked and stared in disbelief, while Satria stared coldly at Olivia's hand holding his hand. It made Olivia let go of Satria's hand slowly and the girl immediately ran away to her house with teary eyes.

Brakk

"Via! Can't you close the door slowly?!"

"Not!"

"Oh my gosh this kid..."

"Tch," Olivia hissed as she quickly took off her shoes.

"You cry?" asked Viona doubtfully. "Oh yeah, lately mom hasn't seen you playing with Satria, are you two fighting?"

"Just ask the j*rk," Olivia hissed.

Brak

"Hey, how rude of you!"

"Aarrgh! I don't care!"

Bruk

"Ouch.. who hit me?!"

Olivia grimaced because her shoulder bumped into someone, the girl raised her head and was surprised when she saw Satria who was flatly hooked. Satria immediately entered his class as soon as his eyes met Olivia's wistful eyes.

During the first lesson, Olivia kept staring behind Satria but Satria was troubled as if he didn't notice Olivia's eyes staring at him. The man immediately left the class during recess, but he don't know what Olivia was thinking, the girl followed Satria instead.

"What do you want?"

"You.. why do you keep thanking like this?"

"Hah.. uh, Dhian!" Satria approached Dhian.

"Eh?"

"Just getting revenge?"

Diane nodded. "Yes, What is up?"

"It's okay, can you talk for a minute?"

"Dhian," Olivia called. "You'd better keep your bag in class first."

Dhian nodded and slightly looked down past Satria, the girl entered her class and put down her bag, she was about to approach Satria but she stopped when she saw Olivia had already approached the man.

"What do you always talk to Dhian about?"

Satria chuckled sarcastically. "What's the matter with you? Can't you come to your senses after what I said yesterday?"

"You.. you've never been like this before, Sat..."

"Everyone will change over time."

Satria just walked away leaving Olivia, while Dhian followed where the man was walking. Dhian wonders where Satria has been lately after knowing Olivia's feelings.

"Dhian."

"Eh?"

"This seems..."

"Why, Vin?"

"That's..." Calvin shot the nape of the neck that wasn't itching. "You're not going to the canteen? I mean.. lately we rarely go to the canteen to eat together, it feels weird."

"Eh?"

"Aren't you thinking the same thing? Even though at first I always took you to the canteen together, but instead I forgot about you."

"Calvin, this is..."

"Yes?"

"I have some business, tomorrow, okay?"

"Eh? Okay...?"

Dhian is not avoiding Calvin, but the girl is following Satria and the man is out of sight. Because of that Dhian immediately went to look for Arka's whereabouts, until she arrived behind the school building.

"Ar.. arka..? You?"

"Dhian?"

Arka immediately dropped his cigarette because he was surprised by Dhian's presence, the man felt guilty because Dhian found him smoking behind the school building, the innocent girl found him like this.

"This..."

"You..."

"Satria, I'll go first."

"Eh? Okay."

"Let's talk, Dhian."
