Ticking Off The Bucket List

While Matthew was feeling his heart swell because of the hope that is slowly rising in his chest, his cousin was feeling the opposite.

Instead of getting better, Dionne was getting worse. Her pain has become a constant thing. It would be lucky if she doesn't feel pain for an hour or two. Food was something that her stomach refused to take in. She was only able to take in liquids and soup but only for a small amount. She had already lost weight and it was very obvious as she had gotten thin.

Dionne had refused to go back to the hospital even after Mason and her father begged her. It was as if she had already given up fighting for her life. She had already accepted her faith. She said that she doesn't want to suffer anymore. She doesn't want to be under the constant probing of the doctors and nurses trying new things and medical innovations hoping that it would work and extend her life as if she was a subject of their experiments.
