Chapter 1 II First Day Of Moving

"It's a little after 7:00 now, Julia. In five minutes, you will need to go. You're going to be late if you don't hurry up!"

Julia appears to let out a loud sigh. She double-checked her books, supplies, and uniform before heading out the door. Julia was nervous about making a fool of herself at school.

"Okay. It seems perfectly normal so far, "As Julia looked at herself in the mirror, cracked a grin.

The young lady exited her apartment and proceeded to her veranda. Julia's mom, Widya, waited in the car and urged her to get going.

"This breakfast is yours. Have it while I drive you to class," Julia's lunch box was blue, and Widya gave it to her.

As Julia accepted the lunchbox from Widya, she thanked her mother.

Soon enough, it appeared that Julia was thoroughly enjoying her breakfast of chocolate sandwich. All of Julia's sandwiches went leftover food. She put the sandwich's remaining bits in the lunchbox. Julia had a full stomach after filling it with a glass of warm milk before breakfast.

"Julia, are you ready for the new school?" Widya, who was paying close attention to the steer, questioned.

Julia said with assurance, "Of course I am."

"Remember what I've told you. When it seems safest, we no longer stay in that zone. We have relocated to the city center. The world we live in is cruel, and Julia, you will struggle."

"Be mindful of who you let into your inner circle. I worry that you'll fall into promiscuous behavior and ruin your life. Got it ?" The advice Widya gave her daughter was stern.

Julia had previously heard all of her mother's warnings. Mother had urged Julia to be more cautious since her father suggested they relocate to the big city. She maintained throughout her life that urbanites are not like the ones back home.

It was not like Julia, and her family lived in some far-flung rural enclave. Though Julia and her family recently relocated to Jakarta, they previously resided in a much smaller hamlet outside of the city.

Julia and her mother were forced to leave their hometown because of her father's profession. Julia and her family had already relocated three times before today. That would make her fourth attempt on that particular day. She no longer felt any apprehension about starting again at a new school because it was a constant in her life.

"Honey, we are almost there" Widya pulled up to the school entrance.

"My apologies, sweetie. Mama can't let you come to the school right now. I started my new job today as well..." Sadly, Widya felt regret.

Julia interrupted her mother by saying. "No worries, Mom." "Yes, I am a mature young lady. I frequently found myself in the society of new friends."

Even Widya was aware of this fact. No longer was Julis her little girl. It's clear that Julia has grown up and developed a sense of right and wrong. But as a mother, she had to follow her gut. Widya was terrified of losing her daughter, Julia.

"I must leave. Mom! Please be safe on the road. Bye!" After saying farewell to her mom, Julia got out of the car.

A little distance after Julia had passed through the fence. She paused at the luxurious, locked entrance to her new school for a second. Julia had a varied school. It was the first time that the school's brand-new facilities truly impressed Julia.

The tuition fee was hefty. It was not surprising that such a great institution as a school would appear that way. Julia was shocked to learn that it cost her father a lot of money to get her here. At that moment, Julia refused and begged her father to enroll her in a regular, affordable school. But her father was concerned about whether or not Julia would benefit from attending such a prestigious institution, even though she would be surrounded by other talented and accomplished students from affluent families.

"Galatic High School." She took her time reading the name on the label.

At the sight of the name of the high school where she would spend the next two years of her life, Julia's smile broadened to its full extent. She really wanted to graduate from this school and not the other one. Julia could therefore skip her planned goodbye party with her pals

"bruumm..brumm…brumm…"

Julia retreated and swung about. Three huge motorcycles were parked not far from where she was, past the school's main entrance. The three bikers were all dressed in black, with full-face helmets covering their features. Julia assumed they went to the same school because they wore gray pants.

What Julia had just witnessed did not bother her much. Julia continued to the school's main building, where classes were held.

XI.2 Social. Julia looked carefully at the door sign that identified which classroom each portion belonged to. When Julia couldn't find her class, she approached a fellow student for help. After more than ten minutes of searching, the school found Julia's classroom.

Julia walked casually into the schoolroom. The sound of the bell was a motivating factor for many students to show up on time to class. She looked throughout the room but could only find a few unoccupied chairs in the back. Only the two empty seats remained.

A girl at the third table turned around to say hello to Julia.

"Hello", Julia said in return.

"You're a new student, huh?

Julia acknowledged this with a nod. Her purse was stowed underneath the seat.

"Mozzarella Raihana. Moza is well with me. "Currently, Moza was extending her right hand to Julia.

"Julia, Julia Amanda, " Julia extended her hand and shook Moza's.

The question, "Where are you from?" Asked Moza.

A prompt "Semarang" from Julia.

"Wow!" This caught Julia off guard, but Moza appeared enthused. "At first, I believed you went to a different Jakarta school."

Anyhow, "Are you sure that's where you want to sit?" Asked Moza.

Julia acknowledged this with a nod. Since it was the only empty seat, she had no choice. To lean against the wall, Julia picked a table in the corner.

"Do we have a problem with this table? Does someone have a claim to this table?" Julia made another question to Moza.

Moza firmly rejected the idea, shaking her head. No one else would dare sit in an empty chair like the one you're in, yet you're sitting in one right now.

The truth is that Moza's statement left Julia with more questions than answers. There was something else she needed to inquire of Moza. Unfortunately, the bell just went rang. Julia had to resist her curiosity for a little while.

"Good morning, students. As of today, we've made a new pal. To the class: Please come and introduce yourself. Julia" Mrs. Inggit, Julia's homeroom teacher in Social Studies 11B, asked her to say hello to the class.

"Hi, my name is Julia Amanda. If you'd like to address me as Julia, that's fine. Greetings, it's great to finally meet you." Following that, she returned to her place at the table.

The first thing Miss Inggit did with her students was have them practice their ability to observe. A few minutes later, when Miss Inggit was teaching, three pupils barged in and forced her to pause what she was doing.

Say it with me now: "Lucas Eleanor!" Miss Inggit has a reputation for being one of the hottest students at this school.

"Please, have a seat and listen to me properly!"

A grin spread across Lucas's face. He and his two companions made their way to a nearby table. Lucas's buddies sat close to each other, although Lucas himself... It appeared to be someone Lucas had never met before.

Have we got a new person? Where have I seen this chick before? Is she attempting cheesy flirtation with Lucas? Not that it made any difference to Lucas.
