Chapter 2 II A Proper Greeting

Julia put the books away after four hours of nonstop studying. And now it was time for a short break. Having worked up an appetite, Julia decided to visit the vending machine for refreshments.

"Let's eat lunch together, Julia. I'll take you to the cafeteria and show you some tasty dishes, "Moza and waited for Julia at the front of the classroom

With a nod, Julia agreed. While they were heading down the corridor, Moza reached out and took her hand in his. While walking to the cafeteria, Moza shared a lot of information with Julia.

Said in a cheerful voice: "Hey, Moza!"

"Hey Moza, how's it going?"

"So, Moza, what are your plans for the rest of the afternoon? Meet me for lunch sometime!"

Varied kids greeted Moza with different reactions when they saw him. To Moza's surprise, it wasn't just a group of dudes there to say hello. However, there were also cases of this among female students.

Based on her observations, Julis concluded that Moza was a well-liked senior at Galatic High. Moza was endearingly adorable in appearance. And naturally, everyone wants to be in her inner circle.

"What's more, he wants to meet up for lunch. Are you sure you don't want to accept his invitation, Moza?" Julia asked while waiting for Moza's reply.

"They just want to get my attention," Moza said.

"What? Hmm, okay then, " Confused, Julia.

Moza confirmed this with a nod. Moza had faith that Julia would eventually get it, so she didn't bother explaining everything.

Moza said to Julia, "Let's sit here, Julia," pointing to a bench outside the door.

"Do you like chicken noodle soup? Moza asked.

"Mm.. Yeah, that sounds excellent." Julia responded.

"Great! I'll go ahead and place the order. This chicken noodle soup is the greatest one offered here. I do not doubt that you will find it enjoyable." With Julia, Moza broke out into a broad grin.

Moza eventually left Julia to place an order at the counter. Moza returned to her seat, and she and Julia resumed their conversation.

"I'm curious as to why you've chosen to transfer school. You used to live in a beautiful city outside Jakarta, right?" Moza enquired.

"Yes," Julia confirmed. "My dad had to go to Jakarta for work. Therefore, we must uproot and relocate to Jakarta."

So, you signed up for Galactic High School all by yourself, huh? Moza inquired once more.

Julia shook her head firmly. My dad put me up for enrollment.

So, you have no idea what Galactic High School is like, huh?

Again, Julia nodded her head innocuously. As far as Julia was concerned, Galaxy High School was among the top schools in town. That was the extent of the advice Julia's dad gave her. If Julia had second thoughts, he wanted to know.

"Should I blow the beans on this school's secret?" Moza inquired gravely.

Julia inquired, "What's the tea?" After seeing Moza's facial expression, the young lady became intrigued.

"Take my words to heart," Moza said. If you compare Galaxy High School to other schools in the city, you'll find it's the most special.

Moza leaned in to whisper something to Julia. Now Moza was whispering in Julia's ear.

Moza grinned widely and quietly said," Galaxy High School is the sanctuary of good-looking guys."

When Julia heard what Moza said, she burst into laughter. She had anticipated that Moza would shock her by disclosing some crucial matter. Moza, however, stated that something was not paramount to Julia.

Moza said with great assurance, "I'm very sure in less than four twenty-eight hours after you set foot in school, you will be enchanted by a hot boy at Galactic High School."

"Oops, you mean that? However, I have no interest in dating anyone as a student." When Julia replied, Moza let out a chuckle.

"Yes, Julia, you can do this. Meeting lots of attractive men is much easier when you're a teenager. If we want to find true love, we should be willing to give our hearts to anyone, especially the hot ones. It would be great if we could get our hands on one." Moza looked at Julia with a squint of her eyes.

"You urged me to find a boyfriend at this school?" Julia questioned."

"Sure!" answered Moza undoubtedly.

"Moza, I just haven't been in the mood for a relationship. I intend only to use this time for academic purposes. I have zero interest in dating again, "Julia emphasized.

Moza was not entirely on board with what Julia had said. She intended to disagree with what Julia had said. Amidst Julia and Moza's conversation, three boys walked in and sat down. To Moza's displeasure, this caused her some annoyance.

"What, you don't see it? Lots many seats at the table. You can't just sit here without asking, Look who's here," Moza said to the newcomers.

Lucas's instant response was, "Is there a rule banning me to sit here?"

"In all our time together, you have never sat next to me. Basically, you can just go away. It's only you who makes me feel uncomfortable "kicked Moza out.

Lucas, though, paid no attention to Moza. He maintained his position between Moza and Julia.

Lucas looked Julia dead in the eye and stated, "I just want to greet my new tablemate."

Julia was staring blankly at Lucas and could feel herself being observed. When Lucas turned around, Julia was staring straight ahead.

Lucas attempted to say hello to Julia. Lucas intended to pet Julia on the head. Even so, Julia quickly ducked her head.

Julia turned him down politely, knowing she would. Lucas laughed and gave a knowing grin. Similarly, one of Lucas's pals was taken aback by Julia.

"You turned down my offer to touch you?"

"Hey, don't bother my friend Lucas!" Moza had had enough of Lucas's lousy behavior.

"I think your reaction was a bit over the top. It's not like you to act the way, "According to Lucas had to say.

"Just like everyone else, I'm sure your new pal serves some pointless function. She may be interested in learning more about me from you."

As a result of her irritation, Julia wanted to counter everything Lucas had said. How dare Lucas say something like that, knowing fully that Julia had no such plans for him? But who in the world was Lucas, anyway?

Lucas persisted in his line of questioning to Julia, saying, "The way you approach me is aggressive enough," despite her lack of response.

"If you're sitting here next to me, it must be on purpose. Do you think I'll find you interesting? Tch! So, what do you think about the potential of this scheme for me?"

Lucas gave Julia his undivided attention. Julia did not look like the type of girl who would be interested in Lucas. Was she really intending to talk to Lucas? She surprised everyone by flirting with Lucas.

"Hey! Just hear me out. I can't be with another female who is as awful as you are. Perhaps a guy with a sexual orientation beyond the norm is the only option. Anyway, how much would a single night cost you?"

"That's enough, Lucas; you've gone too far. Leave this place immediately!" Moza yelled at the top of her lungs. But Lucas didn't budge an inch.

At Julia's face, Lucas's gaze grew more intense. For some reason, he was hoping to get a good look at Julia's face.

"Simply tell me straight out if you're just messing with me for fun. You can just sit down at my table with me and not bother Moza or try to force your way in."

"Do it now! Tell me how much cash you want. I'll be making a payment to your bank account today, too." Lucas chuckled after he had upset Julia.

"Bloody hell! Get out of here, Lucas! I'm going to tell the teacher about you! Go now!" At this point, Moza was unable to sit still. She dragged Lucas and shoved his body away from her.

"Put your hand down. I'm in good enough physical shape to walk, "Lucas said in an effort to forcibly free Moza's hand.

"Get yourself out of this place! So, what are you waiting for?" Moza was irritated because Lucas was being stubborn.

"Hold!"

It definitely wasn't Moza's voice. It was, however, Julia's voice. By this time, the girl had gotten to her feet and was walking over to Lucas.

Following this, Julia stared him down, her eyes daringly devouring his features.

"Aw, what gives? Can't wait to get into bed with me?" It sounded like Lucas was making a sarcastic remark.

"No," Julia said in response. "Let me introduce myself properly."

With a puzzled expression on his face, Lucas frowned. It took him a while to grasp what Julia meant.

Keep your head down," Julia cautioned Lucas. "Please allow me to greet you by touching your face. "

Upon hearing Julia's words, Moza gave out an expression of surprise. Moza wasn't the only one who felt this way; Lucas and his friend also shared this emotion.

Unexpectedly, though, Lucas seemed to shrug it off. There was a cunning grin on that good-looking guy's face as he wondered if Julia's actions were deliberate tactics to get Lucas's attention.

After Lucas calmed down his expression and paused in front of Julia's face, he added, "After this, you must be thankful to me since I have given you permission to touch my handsome face."

In Lucas's imagination, Julia would go beyond her current approach and stroke his face tenderly, if not to kiss him.

When Julia reached for Lucas's face, she didn't do it softly and instead made him tense up.

PLAK!

Yes! A slap to Lucas's face from Julia's palm landed with a satisfying thud.

It exceeded all of their wildest dreams. Everyone who was staying there was equally astounded by what had happened.

"Take a moment to think before you open your mouth. I'm begging you. No, you are not the center of the universe. Don't ever compare me to those skanky chicks who are just out to get some free attention from you."

Eventually, Julia walked away from Lucas while making a lot of noise. Unspoken.
