Spartan Fire Restaurant Part 3.

Kit was lost for a moment. If he left the restaurant, how was he supposed to place the items in his shop? Kit shook his head, he would figure it out once he was outside. Kit happily told the others they had to vacate the shop. Kit followed hot on their hells.

As soon as they were all standing outside Kit heard a familiar pop. He turned his head towards the sound. Two figures were standing off to the side, one was large and the other small. The small one with green hair was happily waving to him.

"Hi Kit, I brought Leonard."

"Hello Snickers, you came back at the right time. I was just about to figure out how to place the items I brought inside the restaurant."

Kit hoped because Snickers uncle owned his own restaurant, she would be knowledgeable about how to achieve placing all his items.

Snickers gave Kit a once over with her eyes. She then came over to his side.

"Kit, I think you should leave this part to me. I am the restaurant manager after all, and I do have some experience with this."

Kit wanted to refuse straight away. This was his dream after all, but because this was his dream, he thought seriously about what Snickers had said. She had experience where he did not. He actually thought it would be better to leave this task to Snickers.

It would also help her to feel welcome to make decisions in his restaurant. She was going to be the manager, he didn't want her to become reluctant to make decisions about the restaurant. Kit also didn't have plans to always be inside the shop. Besides if he didn't like it, he could always rearrange it later.

"Ok Snickers let's see what you can do."

Snickers was practically bouncing on the spot.

"Kit, you won't regret this. I really will work hard as your restaurant manager."

Kit watched Snickers eyes glaze over. He could tell she had just accessed the menu. Kit turned his gaze from Snickers to the restaurant. He couldn't notice any change at all. Kit waited with a held breath. His anticipation to see his completed restaurant was almost too much to endure.

He started to become restless with the wait. As he was about to ask Snickers how much longer she would be when a blue light flashed inside the restaurant. The blue light blasted out from the open spaces in the building.

Ding!

Congratulations player Kit. Spartan Fire Restaurant can now be opened for business. Restaurant construction complete.

Bonus: Additional feature unlocked, Small outdoor dining area.

Kit's happiness overflowed when he looked at the additional feature. A small outdoor dining area! His luck was too good! Kit felt like he was floating. Kit fully surrendered to his feelings of happiness. Joyous laughter burst forth from Kit's mouth.

He ignored everything around him and went straight to the restaurant door to see what it looked like inside. Kit felt tingles all over his body as he walked through the door. His eyes darted around the room. He didn't know where to settle his sights first.

Snickers had actually done a good job with the limited options available. Kit was very pleased. In front of him was the service desk it was the first thing people would see on entry. Behind were four tables covered with a red and white checked tablecloth.

The plain barrels suited the orange mud walls. The whole room had a nice cosy feel. The tables were spaced far enough apart to provide ample room in between. The only thing that was lacking were some decorations around the restaurant.

Once Kit's eyes had roamed all over the room. He headed towards the kitchen. Kit couldn't hold back his curiosity any longer. A nervous jitter started through his body. This would be his most important room. It needed to be perfect. If it was cluttered it would be a nightmare to work in. He became more nervous the closer he got to his destination.

Kit tried to prepare his mind for disappointment. He had already seen the small space. He finally walked into the kitchen. Kit let out a relived breath. Snickers had beautifully arranged the room to make the most out of the tiny space. Kit couldn't have done a better job himself.

He was now very happy he had left this part to Snickers. There was enough room for two people to move around if they were careful. The time storage shelf was against the half wall. This would mean serving staff wouldn't have to enter the kitchen to get food.

The half wall was wide enough to fit a serving plate on top. They could stack the plater with it resting on the wall. That would mean Kit wouldn't have to worry about other people coming into his space and distracting him if he was busy.

The more he looked, the happier he became. He had been worried if Snickers was just going to be a decoration, but it looked like he had worried for nothing. He was starting to think she might actually become an integral part of his restaurant in the future. She really had made the most out of the small resources available to her.

Kit walked out of his kitchen and was greeted with the sight of everyone staring around the inside of his dining area.

"Thank you very much Snickers! You did an amazing job. I'll leave the organisation of items to you in the future."

Kit noticed a blush spread on Snickers cheeks at his words. He smiled at the sight. Leonard had puffed out his chest when Kit praised Snickers.

"My little Snoo Snoo is amazing, of course she would do a good job."

Kit laughed internally at the big man taking advantage of getting in Snickers good graces with his words. He took no offence at the spoken words as he was starting to think the same thing. Snickers stepped on the big man's foot with a bit of force, then turned to Kit.

"Thank you, Kit. I will work hard to make your restaurant be the best in all of Fornax. The faster the better. The tables and chairs need an upgrade as soon as possible as well as the actual building."

Kit had an internal chuckle he had been right Snickers was just as unhappy as he was about the tables and chairs. He looked at Snickers and thought he could almost see flames coming out of her eyes with her determination.

A shiver went down his spine. He had a feeling Snickers was going to be a slave driver if he wasn't careful. He really was starting to feel like the restaurant was no longer only just his dream. It was becoming a shared dream.

Kit didn't feel disappointed by this at all. The more people that were invested in his restaurant succeeding the better chance he had of making it a reality. Kit felt a wave of appreciation towards all of these people surrounding him, he had a warm feeling lodged in his chest once again.

"Well now that my restaurant is officially built how about I make us all some lunch."

Sounds of agreement entered his ears. Kit couldn't wait to try out the kitchen. Kit decided to make the Apelop salad, tomorrow he would try to make new dishes after he had completed his training for the day. As he started to place the ingredients on the bench a glaring problem occurred to Kit.

He didn't have a stove! How could a restaurant run without a stove top. Kit shed silent tears of frustration. He then looked at the fire pit, was he supposed to sit on the floor to cook over the flames. Kit was debating whether he should take out his camping kitchen to make lunch.

He shook his head. This was his first day inside his restaurant even if he had to sit on the ground he was going to cook inside the kitchen. Once his mind was made up, he realised another problem. He had no wood! He couldn't start a fire without any.

Kit ran his hand through his hair. He needed to find a way to get a blueprint for a stove top without upgrading his restaurant. He only had one meal available and grilling in the fire pit wouldn't be ideal. He decided to work on the lack of firewood first. Without a flame he couldn't cook.

Kit walked out to the dining area with a frustrated face. "Does anyone have some firewood. I can't start lunch without any."

Twix walked over to Kit and solved his immediate problem.

"This is wood from the gnarled forest. When I found out you were a chef, I collected some. I once heard the top restaurant in the capital of the forsaken state pays a high price for the wood."

Kit's eyes locked on the black wood held in Twix hands. A sparkle entered Kit's eyes. He couldn't wait to start cooking with this wood. He wondered if it would have an impact on the meat for the Apelop salad.

"Thanks Twix. Now I just need a flint to start the fire."

"I can give you a spark if you need."

Kit smiled at Twix and dragged him into the kitchen. A quick zap of lighting would be faster than using a piece of flint. Kit quickly set the wood then stepped back for Twix to start his fire. Twix extended his hand and a small spark of lightning left the tip of his finger and shot straight into the waiting wood.

Kit soon had a small fire in the middle of the floor. Thankfully it was fully encased with big stones. Kit sat on the floor and pulled out his fry pan. As the meat was cooking Kit pulled out his magic multiplier plate. This would be his first time using it. Kit felt giddy with delight at using a magical item.

Kit was about to make the salad when he realised there was no sink available to wash the salad in. He scrunched his eyebrows. This was going to be a pain. He took out a water barrel from his pouch and used the water inside to wash the ingredients.

He made the salad on top of the magic multiplier plate. He then placed the cooked meat on top. After a swirl of oil was added a familiar blue sheen covered the plate and a number 17 appeared above the plate.

Kit felt a thrill of pleasure run through his body at the sight of a number 17. He only had to cook one meal and he already had enough for all of them to have a plate each with some left over. A huge grin was dancing on Kit's face. Today he felt like he was going to explode with happiness.

He picked up the plate to see what would happen. When he looked down where he had lifted the plate, there was another Apelop salad sitting there. He swung his eyes back to the one in his hand.

"Radical radishes! I love magic!"

Kit felt his whole body swelling with joy. This was the first meal he made inside his restaurant. He was almost crying with happiness. Kit quickly grabbed five more plates, then he took the magic plate over to the time freeze storage shelf and placed it inside. When he pulled the plate out a plane white porcelain plate was left in his hand.

Kit picked it up and put it back inside his pouch. He didn't know how secure his restaurant was at the moment. He didn't want anything to happen to his magic multiplier plate because he couldn't purchase another one from the menu yet.

Kit pulled out the serving platter, when he looked it over, he realised it was not a magical serving platter it was just a normal one. Kit sighed. 'Never mind. It is still useful. I can't have everything all at once.'

Kit walked into the dining area to see everyone had already taken a seat at the tables. Kit felt another burst of joy at the sight. It really did look like a restaurant now with people seated at the tables.

He handed the meals out. When he was finished, he took some beer out and filled a cup for everyone. He then sat down at the table to consume his own meal. Happy chatter filtered to Kit. His eyes turned into crescent moons from the smile on his face.

This was what he had always pictured his restaurant to feel like. A warm atmosphere and happy conversation bubbling out. He couldn't be more pleased at the moment. Kit's wandering thoughts were brought back by Grandpa.

"Kit, you did good. Tomorrow after your training has finished, we can go look for some new ingredients for you so you can expand your menu."

A fierce twinkle was in Grandpa's eyes. Kit chuckled at the words and sight of Grandpa's intense gaze. Grandpa's desire for good food was plainly shining through.

"That sounds good. I can't wait to start creating some more dishes."

A sound of satisfactions resounded around the table. Kit laughed even harder at the sound. When the meal had finished Snickers began to clear the cups and plates from the table. Kit was a little surprised at her actions, he gave her a thankful smile.
