Winter Days *18*

I never know what to put up here...

I love writing about the OCs I have in Winter Days. It's just so much fun. You guys probably dont get why I like it b/c Im the only one who knows their backstory, but it makes me happy hhaa. I think I love Ryan the most though :)

Anyways, this one isnt as long as I want it to be but it's not short as the others. Enjoy!

It was your voice that asked the question, but you never felt your mouth move. You couldn't see anything. Everything was blank, like a white wall.

"Of course not." Hanna's voice replied with a soft chuckle. The voice came from behind you. As much as you wanted to turn around and hug her no part of your body would obey your commands. "You're resting [Name]. So rest."

"I miss you Hanna." You replied sadly.

"Don't worry [Name]. I'll always be with you. Just remember", As she spoke her voice grew softer and softer, "For every minute you spend being sad, you lose 60 seconds of happiness."

A bright green flash erupted in front of you, and then everything turned black.

"I told him not to chew the gum, but did he listen?" A familiar voice chuckled. You were lying in a warm bed. You could feel the sheets at your fingertips, but still couldn't wake completely.

"No you didn't!" Another familiar voice roared, "You gave him the gum!"

"Ha oh yeah. My bad." The other voice replied, "Look at it this way though. Now you don't look like pretty little girl."

You heard the sound of someone being punched. No matter how hard you tried you couldn't call out to them.

"Shut up. Sheesh I thought when everybody said you two would fight like an old married couple that they were exaggerating." Another voice was thrown into the mix. You couldn't take the not knowing anymore. It took all the strength you had, but you finally managed to throw your eyes open. The blinding light above you immediately caused you to shut them again until they readjusted.

"[Name]?" Four voices chorused. One was female and you hadn't heard it arguing earlier.

You glanced around the room you were in. It looked like a small hospital room with a TV sitting in the corner and medical equipment hooked up beside you. Your eyes settled on the four figures that had gathered around you. It was Ven, Lauren, Big C, and Riku. They all waited for you to speak so you said the first thing that popped up in your mind.

"What did you do to your hair Riku?"

Ven burst into laughter as a faint, almost ghost like blush briefly flashed over Riku’s face. Riku's hair had been cut short. It wasn't necessarily bad looking; it was just a drastic change.

"I had to cut it. I had gum stuck in it." He mumbled the last bit. Ven began to laugh harder at Riku's expense.

"Aww you sure are lucky to wake up and see Riku's humiliation." Ven grinned.

"She's lucky that she woke up at all." Big C shook his head.

"Go get the others Ven." Lauren said. Ven reached out and squeezed your hand before heading out the door.

"H-How did you get gum in your hair?" You asked in a shaky voice.

"Sora. He blew a bubble and it got stuck in my hair and-" He stopped talking and shook his head, "Just forget it. Sora's a moron and Ven's an even bigger moron."

You began to laugh but stopped abruptly when you felt a sore pain flash across your abdomen. You lifted your shirt not caring that Riku and Big C were in the room. There was a small bullet shaped scar right beneath your chest in the middle of your torso.

"I got shot." You breathed, "How-How am I still alive?"

Big C shook his head, "You sure did try your hardest to get killed that's for sure. I swear Mini [N], trouble follows you wherever you go."

"They couldn't do anything about the scar." Lauren shrugged. At that moment a crowd of people rushed through the door to see you.

"[Name]!" Multiple people greeted. You couldn't help but smile at the sight of all of them. They all began to grab seats around you.

"How are you feeling?" Zexion asked. He was sitting in one of the chairs to your left.

"Fine. Just a bit sore." You replied. Then you shook your head, "Before we dive into the million question game I have a few!" The room quieted as you began. "First off, is Kairi ok?"

"Yeah she's fine. Her, Noctis, Xion, Yuna, KK, and Paine are still at the castle. Speaking of which we should probably call and let them know you woke up!" Tifa answered. She pulled out her phone and stepped out of the room.

"Ok...umm...what happened after I- you know- I mean the King...?" You weren't sure how to word your question. You still felt a bit light headed.

"The King is dead, his security force and his son are in prison." Leon answered with ease. You nodded and breathed a sigh of relief.

"Where am I?"

"You are in Sector One's hospital. The one on Main Street." Reno answered happily.

"How long have I been out?" You asked. It wasn't the question you really wanted to ask, but it would do until you knew how to word your real question.

"Eight days. It's February 14th darlin." Cid answered this time.

"Happy Valentine's day babe." Axel smirked as he leaned on the railing of your hospital bed.

A small smile formed in your lips and you let out a laugh. You stopped quickly though as it began to hurt. "I'm not getting married today." You grinned at everyone.

Everyone in the room seemed to let out a relieved laugh. You let the joke die down some before a solemn look crossed your face.

"Why aren't I dead?" You asked.

Nobody jumped up to answer this question. In fact, a pained look seemed to cross everyone's face. You gazed up at everyone hoping somebody would answer. Lauren leaned towards you and set a chain in your lap. You picked it up and didn't even recognize it at first. Then it hit you, it was your necklace. The glowing green orb was gone and the chain was blackened where it once was.

"What happened to it?"

"There are three reasons why you survived [Name]." Lauren said.

"The bullet aimed for Kairi's head, which should have hit you in the head, missed and hit you here." Zack said lightly brushing his finger against your wound, "That's reason one."

"Reason two is that the bullet missed your spinal cord by about an inch and went all the way through. You probably have a scar on your back too." Angeal added.

"Reason three is that your necklace", Lauren lifted it from your hand, "Did a lot more than it should. The orb itself usually only heals minor scrapes and burns, with the enchanted chain though it could probably heal a broken bone at the most, but what it did with you...we have no idea how it healed you like it did [Name]."
