Chapter 7: The Wall.

My right eye was missing, therefore I was unable to sense it. Nothing appeared to work, not even attempting to force my eye open. I couldn't believe I wouldn't be able to view the outside world on a daily basis again. My back curved forward as I stood up from the floor. I could not endure the ache in my torso. Tears of despair spilled out of the corner of my eye and my lips shook. My body ached and writhed in misery after my sister's passing.

I crawled to a neighboring car while struggling to push myself up. I extended my hands in an attempt to grab hold of the car door, which was smashed open and covered with moss and insects. My miserable self was able to get up again using the car door as a crutch. I pushed my pitiful body up the door. Under the weight of my upper body, I could feel my legs trembling. I finally managed to stand after exerting myself for a sufficient amount of time. Despite the fact that I couldn't bear to move without assistance.

My fall to the ground after letting go of the car door was similar to a gunshot when I smacked my leg on the concrete. My knee joints were in excruciating pain, and despite my best efforts, I was unable to endure them. I stumbled toward the closest house in my helpless, broken body.

As the minutes passed, I gradually made it to the door and was able to enter the home. As soon as I walked inside, I took a quick look around to make sure no one was waiting for me. My filthy and bloodstained clothes smelled like garbage. I noticed some wood out of the corner of my left eye. I moved slowly in the direction of the little bit of wood that was present. The only thing I could still think of was my sister's soulless corpse expanding in my hands, despite my sorrow and being in my very worst state.

If I had a chance to travel back in time and be given another chance at life. There may have been a different outcome if I hadn't killed the bandit. I had to support my leg and clean up the knee injury. I squirmed and pushed my feeble body against the doorframe. Then I let the rain to wash my wounds. My head was propped up on the doorframe. My legs were throbbing with agony. I removed my shirt once the water's deteriorating effects on my legs had subsided. It's the first time in a while that I'm not wearing a shirt. With both hands and my teeth, I grabbed hold of my shirt and pulled before tearing it to shreds. These clothing served as bandages for me as I gripped the pieces and fastened them to my wounds..

I tightened them up sufficiently once I was certain. I sat back up, arching my back. I can't have too much confidence. The fact that I was alone was something I couldn't ignore. And my legs haven't fully recovered yet. I realized that humans and animals were on the outside and that my legs weren't yet fully functional, so I didn't really have a preference. Nevertheless, my dread was growing as a result. My head was against the wall as I made my way back inside the space on all fours. My eye started to close. To avoid falling asleep, I wanted to wriggle it open. But ultimately, I fell into a bottomless sleep unconsciously.

"... … …"

"ring… ring…" My phone rang accompanied by the ringtone of my old phone.

"Hello?" I picked up the phone muttering and dumbfounded.

"It's your fault, Charles." after I heard these words the call stopped.

I was perspiring all over my body when I first got out of bed. I had to cough because of how painful my throat felt. I squirmed toward the door and evaluated how lovely the outer environment was. Clouds in the sky were gloomy and black, and one in particular stood out to me because of its peculiar form. I abandoned my dead sister. I'll never be able to cleanse myself of this sin. My sister died as a result of my mistake. Thunder followed shortly after. Sky was covered in yellow lightning. Being able to see it was lovely.

So I gave it a go. I clung to the doorframe's tiny crevices and raised myself by grabbing onto them. It's possible that someone would spit on me if they had seen me right now. I eventually succeeded in standing up by pulling myself up. I remained motionless for a little period, already saturated in perspiration or rain. I was unable to tell. I advance a little distance. I was uncomfortable everywhere as my shaky legs struggled to support my weight. My entire body was in excruciating pain. Then, after learning how to walk once more, I was able to do so naturally.

Afterward, gathering resources was all that was left for me to do. I went for a walk outdoors to break into homes. I got to one of the houses and stood at the door. In order to determine whether somebody was present inside, I listened to the entryway. I opened the door by smashing it down and went inside. There were some drawers to my left. I moved toward them to have a look. I cleaned up the drawers and found a blade there! You could see the joy that briefly flared in one of my eyes as I sighed and slowly exhaled. I emptied more cabinets and lockers. I found aids and apples.

My body's ailment began to progressively improve after a few days had gone. I gradually started to feel better and became more active. My aims and goal were clear. I wanted to get revenge on the people who had taken my sister away from me, and that was my main goal. The results of their deeds will sadden every single one of them. If it's necessary, I'll find them all individually. I had lost my fear of running into anything.

I gathered the necessary clothing as well as the weapons. I simply had to wait. Waiting is essential, I had to follow a bunch of thieves to find out where they were. This time I was fighting them alone since I didn't have anyone to stand by my side. I sat down on the ground. After then, the hunt began.

The patience paid off. I simply had to wait a few days before the bandits appeared. With my back hurting, I got up. All I needed to do was glance at them. It was them, I knew it right away. I sprang to my feet and began following them from behind, hoping they would lead the way back to their castle. I traveled there without being seen at any point. That's when it became tricky, as we arrived to the fortress. I extended my arms and legs while arching my back.

I wriggled my way out of the bush. And there it was. I even had a few tears in my eyes. As I moved closer to the barrier, I suddenly noticed him. The instant I beheld the so-called monarch, a shivering cold, not excitement, raced over my entire body. By the time I really saw him, I was already resolved to murder him. My body began to tremble with panic while my thoughts became completely blank. What the hell is he? Who is he really? As a scared little snot, I questioned myself. I must remember that he was the one who killed Annie. And for that, I must seek vengeance.Thoughts concerning the outcome kept piling up in my head, overloading even my intellect, and I couldn't help but worry..

I paused my thoughts and collected myself after reflecting on the matter for a while. I must maintain my composure, I can't let myself be found wanting in this situation. In this situation, pointless concerns can 't bother me. I put away all my worthless ideas and started formulating a strategy for how to kill the king and Eden. The idea behind my strategy was to wait until the guards switched shifts before sneaking inside at the ideal moment to avoid a confrontation with both of them. I am unable to fail today because I have learnt from all the suffering and experience I have through thus far. After a while of watching the guards, I understood that it was purely coincidental.

Guards were swapping positions randomly. They switched in an unforeseen manner, in other words. Nevertheless, there are a ton of things I could do. All I have to do is determine which one won't fail. I don't think I'm being overly dramatic. I reflected to myself. The best course of action is to climb over the wall. The size is at least 20 meters, though.

After 20 minutes. My perspiration had completely covered me. Despite my exhausted state and loud panting. Without stopping, I continued to stretch and push myself. I eventually made it to the other side of the wall after using all of my physical energy and felt like hell, on the edge of collapse. I made the decision to take a short nap by lying down in the bushes. Several hours had elapsed at that point. My physique was as light as ever. As much as I could, I attempted to stay out of the path of the guards as I made my way to the king's palace.
