Doom or Salvation

The walk from the main gates to the dormitory building was long; long enough for Josh to reflect on the absurdity of his life. He could not believe he was in the future, four years before 2020, a year many people speculated about. People of the 80s thought 2020 would be the peak of technological advancements. This was probably due to the influence of movies. 


The creak of a door brought Josh back to reality as they reached the building. He couldn’t believe that in such a majestic place, the hinges of the doors weren’t oiled regularly. To the right of the opened door were double doors which were obviously not used much as there was a note on one of them saying “Please use the other entrance” with an arrow pointing to the left.
