I go back to December all the time

She's sitting in the office, scrolling mindlessly through her emails when Flynn walks in. She doesn't notice him at first, lost in a daze. She hears him laugh quietly, a small gasp leaving her lips as she spins around to see him. He's leaning against the door, one hand on his mouth trying to stay silent.

"What? You scared the shit out of me."

He tries to catch his breath in between laughs, bracing himself on the frame. "Sorry, you just looked so dead inside. I didn't mean to scare you."

She rolls her eyes, shutting her laptop. "Yeah, well, this job will do that to you. Everything okay?"

He nods, "Yeah, just wanted to tell you that everything's finished and we're heading out for the night. You gonna be here much longer?"
