Kelvin was on his way back to the student’s residential area. He was in deep thought, thinking about the mission request from Uncle Ruckus.
“How the hell am I supposed to pull this off?” Kelvin said, as he remembered the mission.
****
“The mission is an easy delivery job.” Uncle Ruckus said.
“The only problem is the timing. You’re going to have to stay up way past your bed time for this one.”
“Wait, it’s a night mission?!” Kelvin asked.
“Yes; you will be delivering an item to a merchant in the night market.”
“The academy has a strict curfew time; and I don’t even know where this night market is located.” Kelvin said.
“The night market is located in the Gudan district. The said merchant is a very grumpy old fellow, so endeavor to be there on time.” Uncle Ruckus replied
“Wait, this is happening so fast. Why don’t you get someone else to do it?” Kelvin asked.
“Look, I’m trying to help you kid. Do you want the sword or not?” Uncle Ruckus asked with a firm voice.
“I want the sword.”
“Good. The night market opens in two days, so prepare before then. This is a detailed map of the district.” Uncle Ruckus said, as he gave Kelvin the map.
“Now the item is really valuable to the merchant, so be careful with it.” Uncle Ruckus continued, while pulling out a wooden box.
“What’s the item?” Kelvin asked.
“The merchant deal with old historical relics, so I’m guessing it’s a relic of some sort.” Uncle Ruckus replied, as he gave Kelvin the box.
“Remember, the night market opens in two days. When you deliver the item successfully, then we can talk about the sword.”

The cab pulled over at the student’s residential area. With the absence of most of the students, the student residential area was oddly quiet.
Kelvin came down and paid off the driver, before entering the male dormitory. He entered his dorm room and placed the wooden box, which contained the historical relic, inside his wardrobe.
“I guess I have to start preparing for the night delivery.” Kelvin said to himself, as he sat on the bed.
“Leaving the academy after curfew is going to be really difficult with the increased security. Shit, I really wish Carl was here to help me out. Kelvin said, as he tried to think of a way out.
He drew a basic map of the student’s residential area compound, and began to plot a possible escape route.
‘Scaling the walls would definitely increase my chances of escape. The only problem is the demon hunters stationed in front of the academy. How the hell will I pass them without being noticed?’ Kelvin thought.
“Ugh, I’m getting a freaking headache just by thinking too much about this.” He said, feeling a throbbing pain in his head.
“Plus, I’m tired. I think I’m going to take a quick nap.”
With that, Kelvin rested his back on the bed and in no time, he was asleep.
*******
The darkness was all around me. I could feel it, sense it, and even taste it. I felt the emptiness in my stomach grow, as if someone had reached inside and ripped out my guts.
I walked into the darkness and the air was heavy with the smell of blood, the smell of death, the smell of the devil. I could hear screams filled with pain and suffering; I couldn’t help but feel sick as I took each step.
My eyes quickly adjusted to the darkness, and I saw a body, lying on its back. I felt my heart drop into my stomach as I realized that this was the body of a woman. Her long brown hair was splayed out on the cold floor like a puddle of dark ink. Her skin was pale and dead dry, as though her entire life force was sucked out of her.
My heart began to beat at an alarming rate. The now familiar feeling of darkness and emptiness swept over me as I stared at the lifeless body. Quickly closing my eyes, I tried to drain away the horrifying image of the lifeless woman.
In the next few seconds, everything felt calm; and thus I decided to open my eyes.
*******
Kelvin’s eye shot open. Streaks of sweat ran down his entire body; and with a pounding heart, he tried to calm himself.
Kelvin looked around, and noticed that his surrounding was foreign to him; He found himself in a certain dark alley, in a location unknown to him.
“Where am I? I clearly remember falling asleep in my dorm room, so how the hell did I get here?” Kelvin asked, as looked around in confusion; looking in front of him, Kelvin’s eyes fell on a really horrifying scene; the dried up and lifeless body of a woman, drenched in a pool of her own blood.
Seeing this, Kelvin jerked backwards in shock.
“Why is there a dead woman on the floor? What happened? And why does she look like that?” Kelvin said in horror, as he stared at the body.
On closer inspection, Kelvin noticed a freakishly huge hole on the stomach of the dead woman, making it look as though her guts where forcefully ripped out.
“Who the hell would do such a cruel thing?” Kelvin asked.
“I have to get out of here; I have to report this.”
Just as Kelvin turned to leave, he caught sight of his hands; his bloody hands.
