Love is an Unusual Smile

A few minutes into this warm hug that was beginning to feel more sensual than comforting, both their phones chimed aggressively, and the synchronicity was more than enough to fuel their curiosities.

"Oh, fuck! These fucking Webzines can't even let me breathe without making a fucking news!!" Kendall said as her sob voice immediately became one of anger and infuriating frustration.

"Hey, breathe. It's nothing you can't handle, and right now, just let it be." Liam said with his hands warmly rubbing on her shoulder while he spoke.

"You don't understand, do you? It's not that simple." Kendall broke out, transferring a bit of rage on his face.

"No, you're right. It's not easy and I know nothing about it, but I see clearly how it makes you feel, and you shouldn't have to feel that way…" Liam was speaking more into her softening eyes that sought to dive into his.

Kendall wasted no time in interrupting his speech and seizing the moment with a cold smothering kiss that had her tears dancing on the skins of his face as their lips caressed with power and emotions that made their lusts seek an escape from the prisons of their hearts.

Liam did not see that coming, but his wild reciprocation was more than enough proof that he was into it.

With his hands caressing the edges of her cyclical knee bone and slowly reaching to the middle of her thighs, Kendall's kiss was beginning to sound like a forbidden sin as she slipped moans into the corners of his mouth which aroused him the more.

Kendall, wriggling her warm-breathed tongue within the duvets of his mouth, placed her hands at the back of his head while she caressed his hair with every touch of passion that her lust endowed her with.

Kendall wasn't wrong; their lips had unfinished business and their tongues butted into the drama with wild twists and insane twirls within the walls of the mouth of the other.

They had no thought about time or any other worry as their lips locked and unfolded in many wondrous twists until Liam's phone buzzed twice.

"You should send him a message already, girl. What the eff are you waiting for? Some other girl kissing him or what?" The stern voice in Ava's head said to her.

These thoughts and many questions were unnerving and Ava had to get up from the position in which she formerly lay on the bed.

She looked at her phone with interest before looking away.

"You know what? This is one of those 'fuck-it' moments. I'll text him, but just once." Ava yelled out to herself but in response to the voice in her head.

With agitation and light-speed haste from her fingers, she typed the words spontaneously and hit the end button before thinking about what she'd done.

"What the fuck is that?" The voice in her head asked in frustration and consistent anger.

"Uhhhmmm… I sent an hi. Is that bad?"

"Ughhhh! If I wasn't in this body, God knows I'd have boiled your face within your legs."

"God, harsh much? Chill. I got you, okay?" Ava replied as she picked up her phone to send another message.

"Hi, Liam. I shouldn't have acted cold towards you, I'm sorry. Think you can forgive me?" Ava hit the send button without caution and she sighed in relief.

"Now, that's it." The voice in her head that was formerly hard on her said in an appeased tone.

"You should check that, sounds urgent." Kendall said to the already-distracted Liam as she slowly withdrew her lips which were invested in his.

"Okay." Liam said before opening the message which caught both of their gazes.

"Ava, uhn? Sounds way calmer and sweeter than the last one." Kendall said with an expression of curiosity as she looked at his face that lit up with an exotic smile.

"Uhhmm.. She's…" Liam stuttered; not because he didn't know how to say it, but because he didn't know what to say.

"Oh! You're a wild one, too. But really, you like her. You should go get her. Come on, I'll give you a ride there." Kendall said with a plain face of sincerity that Liam considered unexpected.

"Really?" Liam asked with curiosity and one eyebrow a little higher than the other.

"Yeah, really. You've made my shitty day better, now it's time to do you that solid, too." Kendall said with a lean smile on her face.

"So, where are we headed?" Kendall asked.

"Jonesbridge Alley."

"Wait. You know her actual address? What? That's so cute, man."

"Mmmhhm." Liam was proud of his memory in this moment as he'd remembered when she said that from the night the entire office was at that bar courtesy of Jerry.

"Chris, please drive us to Jonesbridge Alley." Kendall said to Chris who hadn't been paying much attention to the many kisses they'd been sharing behind him.

"Got that, ma'am." Chris replied.

Liam kept staring at the message Ava had sent him while letting out a smile that obviously wasn't his default type.

Kendall picked up her phone and scrolled through her insta which was littered with 'hoe remarks' and filthy comments about her and the new guy she'd hurried into her SUV with. But this time, rather than feeling bad and angry about it, she smiled because deep down the picture of them both was a cute one.
