Do these feelings have a name?

"It's been two minutes, Ava." Ava said to herself as she let out a sigh from the light heartbreak she felt which was borne of heavy expectations.

The room was silent, and this time, it was silent in her head, too. All of the voices in her head seemed to have left her in this lonely space as she blew raspberries while juggling her legs, waiting for a reply from Liam.

"Chill, girl. Maybe he's not by the phone." The formerly stern voice in her head said with a calm Ava wasn't expecting.

"Yeah, right." Ava replied, slightly convinced this pacification was true.

"Oh, really? I remember why we don't take advice from this bitch there. It's always a brutal mess, you know. Sorry, girl, but Liam doesn't share your romantic feelings. You were another friend of his who was caught up in lust and desperately needed to get fucked." Another voice that sounded like harsh pessimism replied in Ava's head.

"Oh, that's not true." Ava replied with a condescending scoff that was utterly defensive.

"Oh, really? Then why hasn't he texted you? He's just not into you as much as you think, and yeah, it sucks, but it's reality, so let's just stick with it." The super-feminine 'wicked-worded' voice replied with a bit of empathy this time.

"You're being a bitch! You and I both know that Liam is into her. Stop saying things that aren't true and calling them reality, you shallow ass!" The stern voice replied in defence of Ava who stayed silent as these two voices were at each other's throats.

"Oh, you're getting furious, girl. Well, maybe I'm a bitch, but at least, I'm not the one lying to the poor girl that she's loved by some guy who's probably banging the next gullible chick with a cheap smile of desperation." The ever-conceited voice in her head replied the stern voice.

"What the fuck is wrong with you? You're not helping matters right now." The stern voice said with less frustration and more empathy towards the silent and disturbed Ava.

"Zzzzzzrrrr… ZZzzzzzrrr!!" Ava's phone buzzed and both voices in her head stayed silent, anticipating the message that Liam must have sent.

Ava, not giving much audience to the voices in her head, sprung up in haste and reached for her phone with a timid smile as she wondered what Liam's message was going to be.

With her phone in her hands, she realised that this wasn't a message, it was a flashnews which she hadn't subscribed to, but it must have been viral since she got a copy.

Ava was instantaneously slammed with screeching shock till her body went numb and only her eyes were replaying the haunted image she'd just seen.

"A-list Model and her rumoured boyfriend spotted in public for the first time." This was the headline beneath the picture of Kendall and Liam, and Ava didn't know how to feel.

She felt foolish, unloved, hurt, disappointed, and a thousand other negative feelings that gnashed their teeth tightly on her insides.

"Okay, spill, girl, cos that's a lot of suspense." The stern voice said with a friendly accent.

"Aren't you supposed to be the wiser one? Can't you see the look on her face? I was right. Reality has crushed her expectations." The ever-conceited voice replied.

"Can you both just be quiet, please? I need to process this, in silence." Ava said slowly, but with great hurt as she adjusted her sitting posture with her phone hanging between the edges of her fingers.

******* *******

Liam was anxious to get to Ava, and his bubbling heart and restlessly swinging legs were evidence of this. Kendall noticed, but she pretended to not pay attention in order to avoid any bit of awkwardness. After all, here they were; sitting with lean smiles and zero words exchanged.

"So, what do you plan on telling her when you see her?" Kendall asked slowly and cautiously.

"I haven't actually figured out that bit yet. Whenever I'm with her, I just somehow always know the things to say, not because that's what she'd want to hear, but because I want to say them." Liam said with an annoying wide teenage smile appearing on his cheeks.

Kendall was speechless; Liam's sweetness was getting to her, and she didn't know what to say to that, so she smiled lightly as she looked away from him.

"Ma'am? We're eleven minutes away from there." Chris, Kendall's driver said to her.

"Okay, Chris. Thank you." Kendall replied.

"I just want to say thank you, Kendall. You're amazing, and if those fucking Webzines and Tabloids would just see that, maybe they won't be half as much shit as they are." Liam said with a smile that became a laughter as Kendall laughed with emotions rising from her belly into her piercing gaze.

Kendall couldn't control how she felt, how Liam made her feel, and her lips and eyes were orchestrating a symphonic concert as she looked at his face and lips subtly in slow motion.

"What the fuck are you doing, Kendall?" A voice in Kendall's head said in a tone that was wild enough to make her snap out of the lust and Greek kiss scene she was about to unleash.

"Yeah?" Liam asked Kendall who was merely looking at him though her mind and memory were somewhere between hell and heaven.

"Yeah." Kendall replied without much thought to what preceded Liam's question.

"We're here already." Chris said as he pulled over.

"Okay, Liam. Go get her!" Kendall said with a perfectly curated smile as Liam breathed in and out deeply.

"Thank you, Kendall. Take care. Bye, Chris." Liam said as he alighted from the SUV, waved them bye while they revved off before he headed to a door of a humble but adorable apartment that was right across the road.
