The Ghost

When the lights turned on, Draven found himself surrounded by dismembered corps of the mansion's security personnels.

The bodies had slit throats and torsos, that seemed to have resulted for blade cuts.

It was then when Draven realized that what he thought was a water leak at first was actually a large pool of blood.

*bluuuhh*

Draven through up as his stomach was turned upside down from the gruesome sight.

' I have to get away from here ' Draven thought to himself.

Up the stairs, Draven heard footsteps coming.

"Help! Somebody help me! He's going to kill me!" An old rich looking fatty man run down the stairs as he screamed.

"Somebody help-....ahhhh!"

The fatty old man tripped on the stairs as he was running down and tumbled over. He rolled all the way down to the floor, close to where Draven was.

"My leg!" The fatty old man held his leg as shouted.

He twisted his ankle when tumbled down the stairs. Draven frozen in shocked as he watched the man crying in pain.

Above the stairs, on the first floor, a dark figure descended slowly. It appeared to a man dressed in all black. He outfit was similar to that of a ninja. In his right hand was a short blade dripping with blood.

*fooshh*

The man in black threw his blade aiming for the fatty old man,

*shhhick*

"Ahk!....ah...ahhh" the blade pierced the fatty old man's head from behind all the way to his forehead, killing him on the spot.

Draven was horrified. It was his first time seeing someone being killed right in from of him.

Draven tried to get up and run but his couldn't find muster the strength. He just sat there watching the man in black approach him.

The man came down the stairs and started walking towards Draven. The man passed the fatty old man's dead body and was now standing right in front of Draven.

The man in black looked down at Draven and said:

"Draven...."

Draven recognized the man's voice:

"J-Jin is that you..."

The man took off his black mask. It really was Jin.

Questions filled Draven's mind:

"Jin you just killed that man, why? Did you also kill everyone here?

Jin's face was completely emotionless. He stood there in silence just starring at Draven. Jin took a deep breath and said:

"...Felix Carman. That was the old man's name. His was the vice mayor of Stanford city but also the leader of child trafficking organization. He used Birmingham city as a storage for kidnapped children as such he was denting master Syven's image as mayor. My assignment was to eliminate him and everyone in this mansion, leaving no one alive."

"Your assignment? Did uncle Syven give you this assignment?" Draven asked.

"Yes" Jin replied.

Draven paused for second. He thought to himself:

' An assassination assignment issued by master Syven, who is the head of Cyber and it was given to Jin....'

Draven starred directly at Jin:

"Jin.... You're The Ghost of Cyber, aren't you?"

"....Yes I am. Only master Syven knows the true identity of The Ghost and now you know as well. I brought you here to see what you'll have to be doing from here onwards" Jin explained.

"Me? You're saying that I'll have to kill people?! I don't want to be murderer! I don't want kill people just because am told to do so!" Draven cried as he looked at his bloody hands.

Jin looked slightly sorrowful for the boy. Draven was only 8 years old and had to witness such a gruesome sight.

Jin turned around and walked towards Felix Carman's body. He pulled out his short blade which was still stuck in the head of Carman's lifeless body.

"We have to go" Jin wiped the blood of his blade as he said.

Tears were still pouring out of Draven's eyes. At that point he just couldn't help but cry.

Jin walked to Draven and pat his head:

"Am sorry you had to experience this Draven. But you had to experience this. Things will only get worse from here. Stop crying and suppress your emotions even more, because that is the only way you'll remain sane and survive in this world of assassins. Now come let's go."

Jin carried Draven in his arms, putting him on his shoulders,

*swoooshh*

Jin vanished in a blink of an eye, leaving the scene in a flash.

....

The next morning, at a motel...

After the traumatic night Draven experienced the previous night, Draven barely slept at all. Images of the Jin killing the fatty old man kept playing over and over in his head.

"Hey kid wake up. We gotta get going or will miss our flight to Korean." Jin came out the shower as he said that.

"..... okay" Draven replied in a low voice.

"Wait before you get in the shower I've got something for you. Here, happy belated birthday kid" Jin handed Draven a black rectangular box.

"Huh? What's this?" Draven asked.

"It's your birthday gift, go on open it"

Draven opened the black box. In it was a brand new short blade. Similar to the one Jin used to massacre everyone the previous night.

"That's a Kinshara blade. Its blade is forged from high grade lite titanium and its hilt is made from pure grade leather. That blade is strong enough to slice through pure steel and can easily deflect bullets." Jin explain.

Draven looked at the Kinshara blade, reached out his hand and took hold of the blade. On it was the word ' Yūrei ' which meant ghost, engraved on it.

"But why are you giving me such an expensive gift" Draven wondered.

"That's a blade only given to the successor of the title of Ghost. From now on you'll be my student and I will train you to be the next Ghost of Cyber. So you'll definitely need that blade." Jin explained.

Draven starred at the blade and he thought:

' Such a nice blade. Yet again it is also used to take away a person's life '

"Keep that safe. Acquiring it took a lot of time and money. Now hurry up get ready we have to go." Jin added.

Draven placed back the blade in the box. He got up and walked towards the bathroom. Before he enter the bathroom Draven stopped and asked:

"I've been meaning to ask. Why are we going to korea? Is it because you're afraid of the police catching us?"

"Buhahaha! The police catching me, let alone finding me! Impossible hahaha!" Jin loudly laughed.

After laughing his lungs out, Jin calmed down:

"That's real funny kid. The reason we're going to Korea is not cause we're running. It's simply because that is where your first year of training will held. There, you'll be taught taekwondo, judo and taijutsu. So brace yourself kid."

Draven looked at Jin:

"If it's what master Syven wishes then so be it. I don't care anymore."

Jin smirked. He thought to himself:

' He adapts fast. Instead of resisting and throwing tantrums like most 8 year olds would do, Draven has accepted his fate and now only looks forward to the future. Impressive kid '

"That's the spirit kid" Jin shrugged.
