Adrien x Childhood Best Friend! Reader

As you strolled up the steps of Fracious Dupont, a ball of worry overpowered you. You breathed heavily, anticipating on entering the class. "Woah! Are you serious?!"

The sudden noise broke you from your thoughts. Behind you, stood two males holding a box of sweets. You took a closer look at the blonde haired boy, something sparking with familiarity.

You nudged the feeling aside, ready to begin your first day back to Paris. The two male figures behind you were loud, this being since you could hear every word they spoke. "Adrikins~!", snapped a cracking voice.

The voice sent a shiver down your spine. you thought, Once more, you turned your head above your shoulder, grabbing a glance of a blonde girl wearing a yellow crop jacket.

The blonde boy you had recalled as familiar was being ambushed by her lips. His disgusted face told you all you needed before you turned away. There was no need to get involved with that.

As the bell rang, you entered the classroom. A few faces you saw this morning were seated. There was the blonde guy, his friend, the blonde girl, Alya, whom you befriended, and her friend, Marinette.

The teacher greeted you with a smile. "Why, hello there. Are you (Y/n)?" You responded with a nod of your head, your body shaking from your nervousness. She turned to the class, and started, "Class! We have a new student!"

"This is (Y/n)", she first introduced you while placing her hands on your shoulders. "Please respect her and make friends with her. She came all the way from America." The class smiled at you, a new feeling setting in your stomach.

Comfort.

You smiled back, taking a seat next to a red headed male. You held out your hand for a handshake, with him taking it and lightly shaking it, saying, "Nathaniel." "(Y/n)."

The teacher began class, and that's when your attention was drawn to the blonde boy again. There was something about him that stood out. You were determined to ask him his name after class.

And that's exactly what you did.

You walked up to the boy, waving. He returned the motion, and greeted, "Hi. (Y/n), right?" You nodded your head, and readied your voice.

"Umm, this might sound strange, but I have this feeling we've met before."

The boy's eyes widened. "Really? I thought the same thing! I was wondering what it was." He held out his hand, and said, "Adrien."

That's what it was!

Adrien Agreste, your childhood best friend. Who would have thought he was still in Paris, France? Certainly not you!

He awaited your response, chuckling a bit. You snapped out of your phase, and smiled. "(Y/n)."

Adrien's eyes shot wide open when he heard your name. Sure, he heard it from the teacher, but to hear it from your voice, sent a sense of realization through his veins.

"Wait, (Y/n)...(L/n)?", he asked you. You answered, "Yes. Adrien Agreste?" He responded with a simple nod.

Before you knew it, the school day had come to an end. You bid goodbye to your old friend, and scurried of your house. Adrien had this ache in his heart that said to wait, but he avoided it.

You walked along the sidewalk, hoping to have one of your grandmother's cookies. This thought made you walk faster until you were finally there.

Home.

You opened the door, the smell of sugar and cinnamon invading your nostrils. You breathed in the sweet scent, and hurried off to the kitchen. There, sat your grandmother with a warm smile.

She beckoned you to sit at the table, which you gladly did. "They're only for your first day back. Don't expect them everyday, now.", she informed you. With a quick snatch of a soft cookie, you took a bite from it, humming, "Mhm!"

A knock sounded throughout the small house, your grandmother standing from her seat. She slowly inched her way to the door, opening it to see Adrien. "Oh, is this your boyfriend (Y/n)? My, you're very quick on that!"

Unbeknownst to you, a smirk replaced her smile, knowing your response. "Gran! You know he's not my boyfriend! He's just an old friend." A low chuckle came from the elderly woman.

You sighed with relief to know it was simply a joke. "Umm, hi. I'm Adrien, one of (Y/n)'s friends. We're partners for our English project, may I come in?" The old lady made motions with her arms and said, "Oh! Please do! Come in, come in!"

Adrien made his way to you, smiling. A small blush tinted your cheeks, thankfully nobody seemed to notice. You cleared your mind, and took his hand.

"Come on, let's go upstairs to my room. I have all the stuff in there."

He followed you, up the stairs, and into your room. The walls were a beautiful shade of (F/c). All of your awards for past years were put up onto your shelf, that being one of the most noticeable things.

"Make yourself at home."

You failed to notice a pen laying on the floor, which you tripped over. Adrien, being a tad bit in front of you, turned around. Your lips smashed onto his, both of you tumbling to the ground.

You pulled away from the kiss, a blushing mess. "Oh my gosh! I'm so sorry, Adrien!" Before you could say anything else, he pulled your face closer to his.

"It's ok...I liked it."

Then, he kissed you. This took you by surprise. You pulled back again, shouting, "What?!"

"(Y/n), I've always loved you. Ever since we were little."

Your eyes were calm. He...loved you? A smile adorned your lips.

You pulled him to you, crashing your lips abruptly on his, pulling back a second later. You smirked. Your response was the answer to a perfect fairytale.

"I love you too...Adrien."
