Cat Noir x Injured! Reader

You struggled to move. The bones in your body ached and ground. You grunted in defeat.

you thought. You were simply trying to hurry home. You saw the news, and against all better judgement, ran in anyway.

Tears swelled in your eyes. The pain you felt only got worse each time you moved. Sobs broke out from your mouth.

Through all the agony, you could make out a dark figure. It was moving left and right, dodging something you couldn't see. His eyes landed on your lying figure.

"(Y/n)?!"

Panic rose inside of him. The hero showed no hesitation as he ran over to you. He looked over your bleeding form.

"Oh no. Oh no. No! No!", he cried. Was it his cataclysm? He pondered while he reached out to you.

Tears filled his eyes as he stared at your unconscious self. "This is all my fault!" Cat's eyes darted around, checking for any possible threat.

His hands brought you to his chest. Adrenaline was pumping vigorously through his veins. His hold on you tightened as he extended his staff to the nearest building.

"Cat! Where are you going?!"

He didn't look back. Ladybug, he assumed, was going to be very disappointed in. He didn't care.

"Please, (Y/n)!"

Cat tried endlessly to stop his crying. His attempts were useless. Through his blurred vision, he could see the hospital.

Cat shot at it like a lightning bolt. If you weren't tended to now, you could die. Just the though made Cat's heart beat faster in terror.

It was raining, so nobody would see the tears in his eyes. Cat brought the two of you down to the ground, where he entered the hospital. "Somebody, please! This girl needs a doctor!"

It was just a matter if time before a man in a white coat was in front of Cat. "Oh, Cat Noir! What brings you here?" His eyes wandered to the girl in his arms.

"Oh!"

The man beckoned two females, nurses, Cat predicted, to bring a stretcher. They took you from Cat's arms, placing you on the stretcher. Cat wouldn't leave.

The staff pleaded for him to put all his faith in them. They couldn't have him sticking around when there was a villian on the loose. "I'm. Not. Leaving.", Cat growled.

Soon, they gave up. Cat waited hours before the doctor came into the waiting room. "She put up quite the fight for her life. You can see her."

Cat's ears perked up in anticipation. He stood from his seat and made his way to your room. The door was slightly ajar, and he peeked through.

You were asleep. You were breathing, so that was good. Cat's heart calmed down seeing you.

He entered the room, the door creaking slightly. You didn't wake up. Cat stared at you, wondering how you even got to this.

"(Y/n)...I'm sorry..."

Cat began to cry silent tears, both of joy and sadness. He hoped he wasn't the one who injured you. He coukd never live that down.

The monitor beeped at a regular pace, alerting everyone that your vitals were fine. Cat averted his eyes from you, looking out the window. The rain had subsided, giving a clear view of the night sky.

Cat sat on a chair near your bed. He watched as your chest rose slowly and then deflated, and so on. A sigh escaped his lips.

"Please wake up, please." (Anybody else get the reference? No? Just me? Ok...)

The only sound was the beeping of the machine. Cat looked down in pity. he thought.

Cat sat there for an hour. It was now 9:25. He sighed.

He stood from his seat and took one last look at you. Cat gently pressed his lips against your forehead. He left without a word.

The next day, all Adrien could think about was you. It worried him to not know how you were. Thoughts like sounded through his head.

It was now lunch time. Adrien walked slowly to the cafeteria, where a huge group of students were gsthered. "Did you hear? (Y/n) was hurt in yesterday's battle!"

Adrien's eyes narrowed. He didn't like people gossiping about anything, especially you. Adrien made his way to the group, and protested, "She's fine. You shouldn't gossip about other people."

Adrien was trying to convince himself more than them. His heart throbbed each time your name was brought up. The group dispersed into separate tables, leaving Adrien alone.

Adrien walked over to a table, dipping his head into his arms. If only you were here, he wouldn't be like this. His tears began forming a little puddle about the size of a nickel beneath him.

After school, Adrien alerted Gorilla that he would be going to the hospital. His bodyguard did not protest because he understood who he was going for. Adrien began his walk to the hospital, passing happy civilians along the way.

He held his head low as to not show his face. Adrien took a sharp left into an alley clear of people. "Plagg.", he whispered.

The kwami flew into view, his eager smile fading at the sight of Adrien's expression. "You wanna go see her, don't you?"

Adrien nodded his head. "Why do you need the suit to do it?", Plagg questioned him. Adrien sighed, and said, "I'm not ready to show my real face to her. It hurts me as it is just to think about her."

Plagg bowed his head in understanding. "Plagg, claws out..." A green light surrounded him, then stood Cat Noir.

He made his way to the hospital. The doctor allowed him one hour to see you. "(Y/n)?" Adrien walked into the room.

You lied awake, eyes widening at the sound of his voife. You tried lifting yourself up, for a shooting pain to course through your entire body. "Don't get up!"

He cautioned his arms around you. "I...just came to apologize." He sighed.

You looked at him puzzled. "For what?" His eyes met yours.

"I hurt you... It had to have been me..."

You smiled. "Cat...that wasn't you.", you began. His eyes widened. "It was the villian..."

You held out your arms to him longingly. "Hug?" He fell into your arms softly, and you both held each other.

"You don't know how happy I am thst you're safe, (Y/n)!"

Tears welled at the edges of his eyes. Cat pulled you closer to him, wanting your warmth. "I love you, (Y/n)..."

You pulled him closer.

"I love you too, Cat."
