(A/n)- There's not much Gabriel x Reader in here but I hope it still turns out alright. Thanks for reading!

"Adrien...what have you done?"

Adrien stared up at his father with wide eyes. "You want me to side with my enemy?" Gabriel grasped his shoulders.

"I'm your father, Adrien! I'm not a villain! I just want your mother back!" Tears pooled from under his eyes. "I...I haven't been entirely honest with you, Adrien..."

The blonde looked at him perplexed. "W- what do you mean?" His father kneeled down to his level.

"Son, when I told you your mother left us...I was lying. I didn't want you to know the truth just yet, but..." Gabriel brought his gaze down. Adrien was worried.

"Your mother...she-she was the hero known as Lady Peacock. And we fought together," he paused to gather his thoughts. He looked back up at Adrien. "The day we lost your mother, she had used her miraculous to protect me. And...it was broken..."

Adrien started shaking. He knew what that meant. He choked back his sobs.

"She rests beneath this room. I hope to bring her back with the miraculous." He stood to his full height. Adrien couldn't hold back anymore.

"Y-you lied to me! You lied to me about mom leaving! How could you do that?!" He went to throw a punch. Gabriel didn't stop him.

"I understand your frustration, Adrien. But you have to know that I haven't done anything without your mother's life in mind. It tears my heart apart everyday when I go to see her. She was my wife, the mother of my child, the love of my life. Our history goes back years before we became partners, before we got married, before we had you." He drew a deep breath. Tears fell from his eyes.

"I love your mother more than anything else in this world. And after I- we lost her, I wanted to throw it all away. I wanted to give up. But I didn't...for you." Gabriel watched his son's expression, feeling guilty for hiding such a secret from him. "...And now, it's time you join me. Help me get Ladybug's miraculous, and help me get your mother back."

Adrien stepped back. "N-no...this...this isn't right..." His voice wavered as he continued to back away.

Gabriel stepped forward. "But it is." Adrien shook his head.

"You're wrong... Mom wouldn't want this." He backed up until he could feel himself touching the platform. He was ready to bolt.

"Don't you dare tell me what your mother would want! I'm doing this to save her!" Gabriel was only feet away from Adrien. He eyed his ring.

"This isn't the way! Think of Mom! Would she have wanted you to turn evil to avenge her?! Would she have wanted you to destroy the lives of hundreds of innocent people?! Would she-" His father cut him off. "Enough! You ungrateful child! How dare you!"

He lunged at hie son, reaching for his ring. Adrien stepped onto the platform. He descended before his father had a chance to grab him.

"Adrien!"

Adrien felt his heart practically beating out of his chest. He couldn't believe it. His father was Hawkmoth, and his mother was alive!

A part of him still didn't believe it. His father wanted him to join him! He had to tell Ladybug.

He transformed as the platform reached the main floor. He ran down the hall and left the house. He tried calling LB but she didn't answer.

She probably wasn't transformed. There wasn't an akuma. Cat decided to go around until she came up.

Cat was sitting along the bridge. He had sent Ladybug a message to meet him there an hour ago. It was starting to get dark.

A yo-yo zipped by. Ladybug landed next to him. Cat still sat there.

"I got your message, Cat. What's wrong? There's not an akuma, is there?" She sat down next to him. Cat didn't say anything.

He had planned how to tell her all day. And yet...he couldn't get the words out. He couldn't speak.

It felt as if his throat had gone dry, and his cheeks were stained with dry tears. Ladybug frowned. "What happened, Cat?"

He brought his head down and grasped the edges of the bridge beneath him. He let out a shaky sigh. Ladybug put a hand on his shoulder.

"I...I found out who Hawkmoth is..."

Ladybug's eyes widened. This was great! They could finally win!

But she saw a single tear fall from the boy's face. Something was off. "...Then...why are you upset? We should be celebrating!"

Cat gripped the boards tighter. He choked back a sob. "He-he's..."

Cat drew a deep breath. "He's my dad..." He couldn't hold it in anymore.

He let the tears flow out. Ladybug gasped. She held him close.

"Cat... I'm so sorry..." She tried to soothe him but rubbing circles on his back. Cat sniffed.

"He-he wanted me to join him...and I ran away." He pulled away from his partner. His glossy eyes stared into her's.

"I...I don't know what to do..." He ran a hand over his face, his eyes noe red and puffy. "I can't just fight him knowing his my father..."

Ladybug pursed her lips. She didn't know what to do either. Now that they knew who he was, they had to do something.

Another thought crossed her mind. She looked back at Cat. "Cat...you must realize that because your dad is Hawkmoth, I could possibly find out your identity. Are you ready for that?"

The blonde's eyes stared with no emotion. "I don't care. All I want is to take him down. I just don't think I have the heart to..."

Ladybug embraced her partner. He drew deep breaths. She ran a hand through his locks.

"Don't worry, Cat. We'll find a way."

"Give it up, Hawkmoth! We have you surrounded!" Ladybug threw her yo-yo at the villain. It caught his staff.

"You fools! You think you can take me down that easily?!" He summoned the remaining akumas in his lair. They turned purple on command.

He laughed maniacally as the butterflies chased the superheroes. Cat tried to knock him down with his staff. Hawkmoth fell with a thud.

"It's over, Hawkmoth. Accept defeat and hand over your miraculous." He walked closer to him. Ladybug was ready to take action.

"Adrien, my own son! How could you betray me like this?! Think of your mother! We can save-" "Enough!" Cat shouted. He pushed his staff against his chest.

"I am not your son. And you won't try to hurt me any longer. Now, either surrender your miraculous or suffer." He pushed his staff further. Hawkmoth gasped.

"Adrien, please!"

"No! No father of mine would want his son to be evil! He'd tell me to follow my heart and do right by others! Now look at you!" He went to grab his pendant. He ripped it from his suit.
