Chapter 12: A small gesture

The halls were undeniably quiet, you would think that in a school with as loud as ours that would be a good thing, nope. When that happens it either means someone is getting suspended, rumours or something bad is happening, No in between.

I know because some of those rumours were about me, luckily I played it off and no one suspected a thing, they were lies anyway.

Mentally, I roll my eyes. I notice my best friend, leaning against her locker talking to the one and only Nino. Maybe if he wasn't the player he was, he'd be a good friend, same goes to Adrien. If he was sweet and didn't make out with most of our school, I'd fall head over heels for that man.

Well, earth to Marinette, that would only exist in some odd dimension where I'm a flippen superhero.

I walk over to the two, it felt so quiet I could literally here my shoes slap on the ground. "Who's getting suspended this time?" I whisper, they notice me and give me a silent greeting before replying.

"It's not Adrien, he's out on a sudden business trip with his father, something about marriage. He left a few hours ago, I, pretty sure he just went to some coffee shop or hotel.." Nino trails off, I knew he knew about Adrien's horrible future wife business, and it made my heart sink a little.

I could feel Alya's smirk, she may not have shown it but telepathically, she would have a weird Cheshire grin,a creepy one too.

"I hope it's Chloe getting suspended."

"You know the principal wouldn't do that"

"A girl can dream"

"Until she's hit by the sad reality"

I giggled as they had their little argument, I didn't want to interrupt it, but at some point Nino would go to far and make Alya break his neck. "Any rumours? You know how it is when the halls are quiet, something bad happened, some rumour or someone is getting suspended" I ask Nino.

After his disapproving sigh at Alya's statement, he replied. "Nada, I asked the boys the same thing they haven't heard a thing."

Alya gasps, we look at her with concerned and yet shocked eyes. "Are you sure? I mean you boys get like the juiciest gossip before the girls do, that's saying something."

I mean, Alyas statement was true, the boys would get the best gossip, sadly they prefer fucking the life out of girls. Nino shrugged, he told us he had to go and we said our goodbyes.

"So~ Was is it good?" I ask wiggling my eyebrows at a certain brunette.

"What was?"

"Don't play dumb, I mean how many times have you done it?"

Alya looks at me with confusion, before her entire face lights up, practically the colour of Nathenials hair! I grinned in victory.

After that, the halls started returning to its normal chattery self. Soon, I was throwing questions at Alya, leaving her even more flustered. My little interview stopped when I heard an ear bleeding scream, making me immediately putting my palms to my ears. Trying to block out the scream.

I look over to see Adrien, he looked emotionless, practically drained. Yet Girls were swoon left and right, I stared at him for a while and my hands drop. My mind started to wonder what happened,

More and more questions started popping up, I felt a little poke in the ribs, making me shriek, and jump into the locker. My eyes adverted to Alya, Who was simply facepalming before pointing behind me.

I turn around, almost jumping again when I see Adrien. He looked different from a few seconds ago, did he put some make up in the few seconds he was coming to me?

"I literally just saw you, your face look tired and you looked like an fucking zombie, and now your here looking better like you just got candy from a candy store!" I quietly mumble.

He chuckled a bit before his hand raised up and caressed my face.

"I missed you too, buginette" afterwards he gave me a a smile, a million dollar winning smile that would make any girl swoon, it made me swoon mentally inside.

"The hell happened to you? And about a few days ago you said something to me, don't think I forgot it!" I hissed, not rudely but more in a teasing way.

Adrien simply rolled his eyes, before leaning close to my ear, "I'll tell you at lunch, princess" he whispered. His breath ticking my skin, before I knew it I felt something warm on my forehead.

I felt heat washing over me as I realised what it was. He pulled back and gave me a flirtatious wink, before walking off. It took me only a second to figure out what was going on, before I turn around and narrow my eyes at him.

"Adrien!" I hissed, too late. He was already lost in the crowd. I grumble, before I heard a loud snicker, my eyes soon laid on Alya.

"You were Frozen in your spot! And you look like you were about to swoon!" She says in between laughs, I roll my eyes. Her statement in a way was remotely true, I did feel like swooning. "Your going to get 5 times the glares you get everyday!"

Thanks for putting out the obvious Alya, she's just such a great friend.

Note the sarcasm.

I pull out my books before I hear a loud thud next to my locker, since the door of my locker was blocking my view, 8 peered behind the metal door.

I found myself looking at a blonde pissed off cat, her eyes were like staring at a wild fire. I raise an eyebrow before looking away and getting my books. As I was about to close it, a hand did it for me, but said hand did it more roughly than I would, making a loud bang.

"Stay away from Adrien, " Chloe said my name like it was some kind of poison to her, which was probably true. "Don't need to tell me twice, but sadly I can't change my dormmate, but please if you would like, I'd be happy to trade spots with you." I reply sweetly, holding back my annoyed voice.

All she did was glare, before looking at me with a smug smirk. "You know, what Adrien did to you. It was nothing, it means nothing or anything" "Thank you for telling me, but you might want to say that to your 'Fiancé's' Fan club."

"Your just jealous, he loves me"

"Of course, everyone practically loves you"

"Thanks for pointing out the obvious"

"Of course, I mean who else is going to help you with your stupidity."

After that little remark she started at me, mouth wide open, I smirked in victory and walked over to math, Alya already gave me a goodbye smile as she walked past, when I was having my little talk with Chloe.

All eyes looked at me, like I was a new student, but I realised that I just got kissed on the forehead from Adrien Agreste. Nervously I take a seat in front and shrink down.

Today's going to be a long day..
