Oh man, the memories of when he asked me out and I said no.
I just smile politely, before I could react he snaked his arm around my waist and pulled my closer, our noses barely brushing each other. I felt that heat rushing to my cheeks faster than Chloe's legs spreading,
Okay yeah that was low, but it's true.
"You can't say no this time Buginette." He whispers before closing the gap between us, the kiss was passionate but slow paced. It was perfect and filled with love, the kind that makes you feel like your gliding through the sky without a care in the world. When your body feels weightless, I wonder if this is how people in space feel.
I felt his genuine smile against my lips, he soon pulled away and immediately I miss the warmth of his lips. I stare in a daze at his green eyes. His electrifying eyes, "What changed your mind into doing so and why did you do it?" I ask quiet curious really.
"Well.."

I refused to drive home, so I'm going to take the bus. As I approach I see a fairly short man in a red and yellow Hawaii's print shirt, some beige shorts and what seems to look like a piece of jade attached to some string around his wrist. At first I didn't mind it but as I sat down on the seat, I notice his eyes come in contact with mine.
"Evening Adrien." He says in a formal tone before sitting next to me. "Good evening to you sir." I reply with slight boredom in my tone. The small old man mumbles something under his breath I don't know what but something. "How are you sir?" I speak up.
"Good Good, you Mr Agreste?"
"Very fine thank you."
The silence rolled in, before the next question shocked me out of my wits, "How is your friend Marinette?" He asks, but his eyes are adverted to somewhere else. "I-Uh, well.." I couldn't for, sentences and the mention of Mari, after what happened.
A wave of comfort and familiarity comes down onto me, as if I've met him before. "We aren't necessarily on good terms, Uh.." "Fu, call me Fu."
The name repeats in my head before continuing, "She is a very special person, Adrien. People like you would do anything for her..right?" He tilts his head after he looks at me, his eyes crinkle as he cracks a slight smile. I couldn't return the favour as I was so deep into his advice he gave me.
"How do you know her, Fu?" I ask, curiosity got the best of me. "I know her very well, maybe not in this life time though, but in a different one, maybe one that was simply ." He says before chuckling to himself, as if he made some funny joke.
I looked at him perplexed, I didn't get it but I felt like I was missing the bigger picture here. He just continued, "Very sweet, and very kind. But that night when she came to me, I saw the pain you had inflicted on her. So let me ask you this...why?" He asked.
He gave me time to think, it was a question I had been asking myself for the past days. Why I did that, was my choice wrong? What if Chloe is just double crossing me? Heck Chloe is known for double crossing people. My eyes adverted to the sky I could partially see in the little seating area, the clouds covered the gorgeous sun I spoke.
"I did it to protect her. I know Chloe would most likely double cross me in a way, but I didn't want her dreams as a fashion designer ruined because of me. Or her family business down into flames because of what choice I made, it would hurt her so much." I explain, but it was a shorter version.
He just looked at me,with a soft brown gaze I could feel the hint of slight amusement in his gaze. "Adrien, you do not see how much your words hurt her mentally that day. She was lost and confused, but most importantly sad because of losing a friend and a loved one all together." He continues, "You May think that what your choices were logical, but don't always follow it. Emotions are different for everyone, she may seem like she's coping with it but if you look deeper it's hurting her more and more." I stay silent and let him finish.
"Emotions and Logic although don't mix well together, they weigh each other out in a way. But always let your emotions decide on what you truly want. Sure, protecting Marinette's future is logical, but it the future changes as we do things in the present." His words were soft, and yet held so much meaning leaving me in a puddle of my own thoughts. We're my choices really right? Was it true that she's just putting a mask on? She has been known doing it for some time in the past.
I let him finish off, slowly making my answer in my head, "Your future is reflected on what you do now, you may be protecting a future that might not be there when you get to it." He concludes, awaiting my answer. Instead of saying my perfectly planned out question, my mind suddenly works on its own and I ask what he suggests.
He briefly laughs before talking again, "Protect her in the present, protect her while you still can." He sighs before giving me a brief glance. Fu suddenly stands up, and walks away, I stare at the back of his head as he walks away, feeling as if I've been snapped out of some trance a sudden thought pops up in my head.
"Wait! How do you know me?" I yell back, hoping I caught his attention.
"Hmm..call it an Ancient Chinese secret." He calls out before disappearing into a corner, I leave there starstruck. As everything processes in my head, I finally know what I truly want.
To Protect Marinette.
