Ch.7

As Students left the bus Deylor and Jack quickly hurried out.

Shoulders clashed as the two fought against the tide.

"Gaah, that was chaotic." Deylor stretched his arms as he spoke.

"Too Chaotic." Jack replied as he started doing his laces.

An empowering voice boomed as the physical teacher spoke.

"Students, get in line. If I see a single one of you not in line in 10 seconds. You say hello to the fishies when you go to bed tonight."

This would perhaps be taken as a light joke if not for the fact that the Physical teacher had indeed done this to an unruly student 1 month prior.

Deylor quickly erupted with red energy as his gaze turned serious.

This wasn't a game anymore. It was war.

Students put their kind smiles away as lines formed faster than fingers lifted.

Deylor sweated intensely.

It couldn't be. The entire line swayed as a whole everytime he tried to join.

"4-3-2."

Deylor closed his eyes.

And before anyone could even wonder what happened.

Deylor was a sudden blur.

And Deylor was in the line. With a triumphant look on his face Deylor held his hand in the air. An aura of victory surrounding him and the eyes of confused students questioning his actions.

"0."

The physical teacher clapped his hands together, satisfied.

"Now that that's settled go to your rooms, unpack your bags and gather here in 30 minutes.!"

The students rushed to their rooms. It would have been fine if the accommodation was next door but it was hidden in the distance.

Deylor used this time to view the surroundings, the sky was light, the grass green and the accommodation sat on a lush hill . The accommodation was a pure-white mansion with numerous windows on its right side.

As the long grass danced from side-to-side Deylor quickly spotted Jack within the masses. Deylor waved however Jack was too focused on a katana in his hands. He held his hand with the katana out as the Katana glowed blue. He then stood on the Katana, his balance showing his dedication. And he commanded his sword with but a word.

"Go."

And that he did, albeit backwards.

As Deylor watched Jack fly backwards he sighed. Deylor quickly reached the front of the crowd due to his immense stamina and the aid of his demonic energy.

Most of those at the front were speedsters or ability-users who had powers that helped them maneuver such as explosive-flight or ice-paths.

After 10 more minutes of frantic running the mansion stood 5 minutes before Deylor.

As Deylor got to the front of the masses of students he looked at the mansion. Deylor's figure blurred as he reached the mansion in 2 minutes at the cost of his energy. He quickly piled his belongings into the nicest-looking room in his sight. There were 2 bunk-beds, a toilet and a sink along with a large TV. Deylor quickly left the room in a blur. As Deylor clashed shoulders with several students he spotted Jack who had managed to make a comeback. He waved before Jack waved back but as Jack did so he quickly lost balance and fell.

With surprising dedication, Jack sprinted to the accommodation using the katana in his right hand as a booster.

As Deylor pointed towards his room. Jack expertly unpacked. His hands moving in blurs as he sorted his packaging.

Deylor ran at a moderate pace making sure to keep his demonic-energy levels steady.

Students sat on the ground panting and winded.

The test was set up so even the average human could make it in just enough time if they tried their hardest. So supernatural humans failing was unfathomable.

"Now that that's settled..." The Physical teacher stretched his arms out.

"Your exam starts now, you will go into the woods on your left and bring back 3 corpses."

"The better the beasts, the higher the chance you have of winning this."

The physical teacher revealed a glowing ring.

Everyone stared in awe as the ring glowing gold quickly fitted itself back into the teachers pocket.

"And your 2 hours start... NOW!" The physical teacher shot a blank to signify the start.

Students scurried off in a sea as they ran to the forest,

Deylor led the charge as he ran deep into the forest alongside a flying Jack.

As Deylor re-awakened his mind and rested his legs he looked at Jack who was also exhausted.

The two quickly relaxed and took some deep breaths.

They mapped their surroundings for landmarks as they slowly got up, stretched their legs and prepared to leave.

But as they left.

A growl sounded behind them.
