Chapter 12

"I finally found her. I found the inn."

I raised both my hands that held a bag in my left hand and a paper in my right hand with an indescribable sense of joy and almost tears.

20 minutes earlier.

"Where is the inn?"

"[You should ask around.]"

"Good idea. I hope the people here are friendly, like Sir Vincent."

In the middle of a street full of people, it was difficult for me to ask for help. All kinds of facial expressions were shown on every passer-by. Sad, happy, cheerful, angry expressions, it was hard to get myself to approach and ask for help.

I approached and questioned the vendor selling food like satay.

"Don't worry, the inn that has a picture of an Orchid flower is only Gleen's in this town. Looks like you're new here!"

"Yes. That's right. I'm new to this town."

I breathed a sigh of relief, hearing that.  Thankfully the person I was talking to was a friendly person.

"What is this?"

I asked while pointing at something skewered and grilled.

"This is the food I sell. This is SkegerMet. Meat and vegetables skewered on a stick. Seasoned and grilled over charcoal that is still smoldering hot."

*Gulp*

I swallowed because of the delicious smell.

"How much does it cost per stick?"

"4 bronze coins."

"I bought 25 skewers."

I reached for my bag of gold coins. When I opened it, there was a scroll inside. When I opened this scroll, I realized that it was a very detailed map and important information was easy to find. I didn't expect Sir. Vincent would give me this. It really doesn't matter that he gave me this map. It's like a very detailed tourist pamphlet. I just smiled a little at the thought.

"Thank you for buying."

Back to the present time.

I stared at an inn in front of me. According to the information from the map, this inn called D' Anggresia had good food, was in a safe neighborhood, and most importantly a bathroom. The inn was a little expensive, but since I was quite rich, it didn't matter. I entered the inn. The entire first floor was a restaurant, some people were having dinner there. Some eyes were fixed on me.

I ignored the stares and walked up to the counter, where a very excited girl maybe 15 years old came out to greet me.

"Welcome to D'Anggresia! Are you here looking for a room or a meal?"

"I want to rent a room. I came here following this map, is the price still the same as what's here?"

I showed her the map and the girl nodded in understanding.

"Oh, you got a recommendation from Sir. Vincent. Right, the price is still the same. Then how many nights will you stay?"

"Just two nights. I've also ordered dinner and a bathroom."

"Okay. One bedroom with bathroom and dinner for 2 nights. Then the price is 14 silver coins."

14 silver coins, the price is indeed expensive but it seems to be worth what I get here.

"Before that, may I know how you came to know Sir. Vincent?"

"We met on my way to this city."

"I see. Thank you for the answer and here is the key."

The girl handed me the room key and I quickly took it and went to the 3rd floor where my room was.

I finally arrived at my room and immediately lay down on the bed.

"Oh my!!! This mattress is so soft. After a long journey I can finally rest."

I then slept on the bed soundly. A few hours later the girl serving me at the counter knocked on my door and informed me that dinner was ready.

I quickly came down from the 3rd floor and headed downstairs. The food they served was delicious. I ate all the food with gusto.

After eating dinner I immediately went back to my room and lay down on the bed facing the ceiling. As I tried to sleep I then pondered for a moment.

"Now what should I do in this world? What will happen to me now?"

For some time I thought about what I was going to do. However, before I found the answer I fell asleep.

In the morning I woke up and immediately took a shower.

"Wow, the bathroom here has very refreshing water. I'd better have breakfast soon."

I then went downstairs and had breakfast. After breakfast I then approached the counter girl.

"Excuse me!!!"

"Ah!!! The master from yesterday. Or can I just call you big brother?"

"Why do you want to call me that?"

"Because you're young and also very handsome."

The girl said with her cute shy face.

Hearing that compliment I just smiled awkwardly and scratched my head.

"Instead of calling me brother it's better to just call me by my name. My name is Leon Clyde. You can call me Leon."

I introduced myself.

"Ah! Then introduce my name is Lily. Just call me Lily. By the way, what does Leon want?" While tilting her head.

"I'd like to ask about jobs that are available or may be vacant at the moment."

"If you have fighting skills or magic you can become an adventurer."

"Right. Adventurer why I can't remember."

Why don't you talk inside my head Roxa.
