Chapter 1

Sharon in the core driver seat laying her head on the window looking bored as if she was forced to eat a meal that she did not like. She was the only daughter to a great tycoon Jeremiah Mwangi when it came to oil in Kenya he was the one on say. So fancy life to Sharon was normal she would attend great international schools and was the only child to her father, life was so smooth for her.

Her father on the driver seat was driving her to USIU University the university that was considered a rich kids university in Kenya, although there were some rare cases of scholarships. For the long journey they were both silent. Jeremiah had nothing to say to her daughter because a normal parents advice to her child while going to school was legible to them because the assets he got would feed his generations without running low. So securing a good future to her daughter was not a thing.

Jeremiah drove his 20 million shilling car slowly to the university gates where he stopped and due to security protocol, he gave out his details to the security guard. After the security details were picked, he drove in on speed where suddenly a woman and her son crossed where he was nearly to bump them. Because of his character of being bossy, he jumped out of his car walked to the woman and her son who paused before the car on shock.

By the look of the mother and her son, it was sure they were considered nobody in the society. Jeremiah as he walked to them he shouted, "You peasant people are so ignorant why don't you use the cross bridge?" the woman knew the school had great people so shouting may lead to her son to loss the scholarship that he had so humbly he responded, "Am sorry sir." Jeremiah was burning up at the time, he responded rudely, "What if I would bring up a scratch in my car with your tough bones if I had hit you?"

The son who was not triggered by the man's heavy words and if he would he was to lose his scholarship which he was very humble to get it he responded softly, "As sorry sir for my reckless." The man responded, "No! I cannot allow you to interact with my child in this school if you are reckless like this." After the words, he took out his phone and before making a call he added, "You will go to those publics university but not this."

But before he made a call his daughter walked out of the car and said, "Dad cool down you don't have to make a big deal out of that." Sharon who was a dad's daughter immediately she said those word they cooled down Jeremiah's temper. Her father in this whole world the only person that he believed and always stayed in her side was her daughter so whatever she ever asked her father always gave her. He said to the mother and son, "You are both lucky." The boy first glance to Sharon he paused where he felt as if his whole word had stopped; his heart was pounding at high rate. By his look, he had never seen somebody beautiful as Sharon.

His mother took him out of his fantasy world by pulling him while saying, "Let's go Onan," then she added to Sharon's father, "Thank you sir and we are so sorry." Jeremiah walked into his car and continued his journey to the administration block.

Jeremiah packed his car to the parking lot that was full of cars from parents that were admitting their students to the university. However, Jeremiah's car was expensive but by the look of the parking lot there were some parents that were in the same class with Jeremiah because there was some other expensive cars than that of Jeremiah.

But Jeremiah pride could not allow him to go and make a line like other parents as they were admitting their children, so he made a call. Within a minuet one of the lectures walked and stopped outside the car beside the driver seat where he could easily converse with him and said,

"How are you Mrs Jeremiah?"

"Am good here is my daughter,"

The lecture turned to Sharon who was busy on her phone and said, "How are you?" Sharon still as she was facing her phone she responded, "Am good." Then the lecture turned to Jeremiah and said, "You can now follow me with her documents." Jeremiah turned to her daughter and said, "Put your pone away I want to finish this thing up because I have a meeting I have to attend." After the words, the words Jeremiah walked out of the car while saying to her, "Follow me!"

Sharon who was also bored she walked out of the as she kept her phone on her side pocket and bang the car door. The lecture stated the way followed by Jeremiah then Sharon. They walked passed the long line. The university was full of rich kids so it was difficult to service them according to their different classes because is like all they were of the same class.

Sharon was walked into a room where she was taken a good picture of her school ID after that she was given some documents that she answered. Within some minuets, her admission to the University was over.

At night, Sharon was in her new apartment that her father had lent for her due to School. The apartment were those of the high-class apartment that came full furnished with classy sofas, kitchen appliance and Wi-Fi. The apartments were considered to be of working class people and not only working class but those who own big business.

She was on the sofa drinking coffee as she was waiting for connection of the video call. On the table, there was a half pizza. Sharon was raised in a silver plate where she all her life she was raised by house helps after her mother had died and her father chose not to re-marry again. Therefore, she was not only lazy to cook but she did not know to cook even the easiest thing.

When the call connected the one in the other side of the phone said to Sharon, "Hello Love." Love was a normal name that girls this days use to call their female friends so this was not something serious. Sharon relied,

"Am good love."

"Who was your first day in University?"

"It was not normal, you know my dad he found a way to short cut the long line by connections that he heard."

"You don't have to complain about that many of us admire that."

"Ok now tell me about your day?"

"Normal Love. But I have something to tell you?"

Sharon anticipating replied, "What?" Breana her friend who was in the other side of the phone replied, "I will come to your place next week I will be free." Sharon in joy she sheared where Breana cut off the conversation by adding, "My data is nearly low we will talk tomorrow and don't bother yourself to send credit to me." Sharon in joy replied, "Ok love goodnight."

In the lecture hall, the lecture was standing before students lecturing in the first day unit introduction. The school had very Morden lecture halls because of the stadium design and the infrastructures in it example of a mega screen. The class that was full of new students was silent. The students were all in class, they had not adapt to the normal university students routine to miss class and being noisy in class.

One of the students in the class was Onan the student on scholarship. As the lecture was busy, telling the student how to survive in campus life Sharon slowly walked innocently into the class. Her beauty, her sweet scent, her attractive ware and her lateness attracted everybody including the lecture where the whole class pause to face her. For a moment, the whole class concentrated towards her in silence where also the lecture mouth was blank of words.

Sharon was used to that because everywhere she went, she always attracted people attention, and she walk and sat beside Onan. She placed her expensive good-looking bag beside her and faced the lecture. Onan who was beside her he gazed at her as if he had sawn an angel. He remembered Sharon from the previous meeting coz from his perception he has never find somebody attractive like her. He had forgotten everything that he had promised his mother and he was ready to give her anything she would ask him.

But in the other side Sharon the way she was facing forward she did not remembered the previous meet with Onan at the admission day. She was used in people gazing at her so she did not saw a big deal out of it. Furthermore, Onan was a low life person all his life he was a like ghost.

The lecture broke the silent monotony by saying, "Back to class everybody." Everybody faced him but Onan his heart was pounding so first because Sharon was seated beside her that confused him by being clamps on his pen where it fell under Sharon's seat.

This was his greatest mountain to his life to ask her excuse. Onan faced Sharon trying while construct a polite sentence to say to her that made him look confused. The lecture who was secretly facing her noticed the weird reaction of Onan and loudly asked, "Hey you little man beside the good looking girl."

Onan faced the lecture and asked, "Me?" The lecture emphasize to him by pointing Onan and said, "Yes you! What is your name?" Onan with a low voice said, "Onan." The lecture with an alpha voice he said, "Are you afraid of me?" Onan with a little high voice replied,

"No!"

"So why are you talking with a low voice like that. What is your name?"

With a more louder voice he responded, "Onan!" that made everybody to burst into laughter in the class except Sharon. The lecture who had a class list of everybody he too the advantage that everybody was laughing and peruse over the list where he noticed the student Onan is a student under scholarship.

It felt good as a teacher to hear his students bursting into laughter on his jokes; he also made a teacher feel the class was lively. So he spiced up the laughter by saying to Onan in hilarious way, "Onan that is girl is not your type find a girl in your village that you can manage." The whole class could not hold it, everybody busted into laughter where it made Onan feel rejected in the new environment but he knew what he wanted so he shut off everybody. Sharon who was beside her did not find it hilarious so he quietly look at the whole class.

After class, Sharon walked out of class slowly minding her own business. Behind her Onan followed her slowly waiting for a good moment to approach her and start flirting with her. It was so embarrassing if a guy approaches a lady and he is denied before everybody he would regret furthermore he did not want to add another embarrassment. Sharon was slowly walking where her mind was off the moment.

Patiently Onan followed her until there was nobody near her and this was a good time for an approach if he was denied people would not notice. Onan walked quick towards her but before he reached to her suddenly, Tony a second year student stopped Sharon. Tony was one of the richest kid in the university, he was driving a car that was expensive that some of the lectures. He was surly handsome and rich this made all girls in campus to have a crush on him. This made Onan to pause at a distance and watch Sharon as she was being flirted.

Tony was an Alfa male he was so confident and every girl he ever targeted he always gets her. Tony smiling to entice her he said, "Hae!" Sharon she was a high-class lady but she never had pride so he responded on Tony's mood,

"Hae!"

"Tell me what your name?"

Sharon immediately knew the guy was into him and to her view the guy was handsome but she had to play hard to get. Accepting a guy at first it sometime showed how desperate you might be and thus a boy might use you in his own benefits. Sharon giggled where it was clear that she wasn't going to give Tony her name. Tony who was also quick in reading ladies is like it was his great talent he added, "its ok you don't have to tell me all I just wanted to tell you is that you are beautiful."

Sharon giggled where she had to say a word. But in good luck the cab that she had sermon stopped before them where she giggled while saying, "It was nice meeting you I have to go." Tony replied, "It's my pleasure," then she walked to the cab with her majestic walk that made Tony to gaze on her.

Onan was at a distance also watching Sharon as she walked to the cab. Cab to Onan was a thing of the rich, him he was used to public transport that took him to a single room at the slums, and this is when it hit him that whatever he does he will never get that girl. It was not necessary of a third party to tell him that this battle, he was going to lose at the end and a wise man he heard to do what he does.
