Chapter 69 - Hope

"I should apologize, you ended up having to be much more involved in that quest than I'd said you would be," Apologized Rosary, as we got back to town.

"Don't worry about it, it was totally my decision to do get involved in the first place, I did have the option of running away at any given point, after all," I pointed out with a shrug.

"I have to admit, when I first heard about you, I was pretty skeptical. I mean, a ten year old good enough to become Gold ranked right away? It seemed a bit farfetched," Remarked Rayven sheepishly.

"Well, for starters, I'm twelve, almost thirteen. Not ten. And I guess it's only natural that you'd think that way, it can be hard to believe something if you haven't seen it with your own eyes first," I replied indifferently.

"Hm, I gotta say...you're awfully mature for your age, you don't seem like a kid in the way you speak and carry yourself," He mused thoughtfully.
