Chapter 15

Not surprisingly at all even as we split up going down different highways to Starlabs in the nearby cities. The fucking android was made primarily out of nanites allowing it to repair itself in battle somewhat which is why it was so difficult for the league to break it down. "Why am I not surprised." I cursed as I literally was being mobbed by a horde of fucking mechanical flying monkeys of all things...

Even if the monkeys couldn't sense me, they were still monofocused on stealing away the Amazo parts which I wasn't going to allow.

Seeing how I was on an empty highway with the truck's auto pilot driving I unfurled my spiritual pressure and the truck's shocks loudly creaked as gravity increased greatly in our surroundings. But the truck had powerful shocks and those monkey's wings weren't at all made to have their gravity increased several times in a moment, so they all smashed into the ground.

But even as I smashed aside the monkeys that attempted to take boxes filled with the Amazo parts I could hear my team members speaking through our earpieces going on how they were also being attacked even now with Kaldur and Superboy's parts having been stolen as they weren't really ranged fighters.

"Amazo isn't getting this arm back," I muttered as I used Sonido to teleport into the air and then I pointed a fist at the tree that began to pick up speed now that my spiritual pressure wasn't weighing down in as much. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to speak to the team as earpieces literally couldn't pick up my voice so I couldn't tell them to just destroy their parts, if they could.

"Bala," I muttered sending a quick bullet of a cero smashing into the truck and exploding violently sending all the monkeys that were trying to break into the box carrying the Amazo parts into pieces.

But after the smoke cleared, I could see the shiny parts of Amazo were only further dented from my Bala, so I huffed and whispered an apology for whoever had to fix this highway as dozens more flying monkeys converged on where I was.

"Cero Oscuras," I whispered, and my vision was consumed with purple light as I shot a massive ray of energy that collided with the Amazo parts with apocalyptic fury sending clouds of debris in all directions.

"Maybe that will get the League's attention," I muttered as I quickly began flying in the direction of where the team was meeting.

"Woah Jake was that you in the distance?" Kid Flash asked as soon as I joined the group with a loud Sonido announcing my arrival making the team jump in surprise.

"Yeah, my smaller techniques didn't work on the Amazo parts, and no one was around so I elected to deny the army of those damned monkeys one of Amazo's arms," I said as I watched Robin while he was working on his wrist computer. "Robin, you got a tracker on them I am guessing?"

"Yup... Wall-Man the parts are at my school?" Robin said incredulously as the satellite feed didn't lie in how it, promptly showed that all the collected parts were at Gotham High School.

"So... Want me to blow up your school?" I offered making Kid Flash and Robin freeze as their inner thoughts raced.

As heroes obviously, they knew that they had to say no obviously... But as teenagers, they obviously wanted nothing more than to be able to look their parents in the eye and tell them. 'Sorry, - Pa, the school got blown up, so all the homework for the next month is canceled.'

"No, I am sorry Lorde. Maybe next time." Robin said as though he had to deny the greatest deal of his life with how he spat out his words.

"Alright enough with the jokes. Let's head to Gotham High School so we can deal with Amazo and whoever is piloting it." Kaldur cut in and everyone got on their bikes except for me and Megan who had to fly alongside them as Megan gave Superboy her motorcycle when he totaled his own during his fight with the monkeys.

A while later once we arrived at Gotham High School Robin told us where we needed to go. "The trackers say all the parts are in the gym, so come on guys. And try not to destroy my school too badly." He added as we all ran to catch up with him.

I couldn't help but think however that Robin took entirely too much joy when he kicked open the doors to the gym. "Surrender T.O. Morrow you are outnumbered!" Robin ordered.

The man who was fixing the Amazo machine stood up wearing a sarcastic grin as he stepped away from the machine as though he was trying to look harmless. "Oh, don't worry little sidekicks I won't be causing you any troubles. But my masterpiece here will!" He clapped and then spoke commandingly. "Amazo tear apart these sidekicks!"

Amazo then abruptly sat forward and began to fly in the air as he spoke in a monotone. "Access Superman." Then his eyes glowed brightly, and twin lances of lasers shot towards us, I dashed forward to meet it with a Bala that exploded against the laser eyes and more importantly obscured Amazo's vision temporarily so my teammates could encircle Amazo.

"Access Black Canary," Amazo said through the smoke, and then I was smashed through the walls of the gym as a powerful sonic wave slapped into me even as I got back to my feet, I could hear Amazo switching to Martian Manhunters power of intangibility allowing Superboy's punches and grapples to go through his body and allow the android to simply punch Superboy with impunity as he kept his fists solid.

Knowing that fighting Amazo was going to be a major pain in the ass without causing massive amounts of destruction I decided to possibly nip this battle in the bud as I used Sonido to all but teleport behind Morrow and grab the scientist by his jacket. "Surrender or we will see who Amazo will focus on more." I threatened but then I realized something.

"This isn't Morrow!" I yelled as I snarled and with a loud crunching noise, I ripped the head off the android and threw it aside in disgust.

"We have to destroy it! No one will shut it down remotely." Robin called seeing how I destroyed the android form of Morrow.

Even as I took care of Morrow, I had begun my plan and with Amazo not being able to see me as I was a spirit, I couldn't help but facepalm as he called out "Access Flash." And as the android dashed forward in super speed, he literally bisected himself from the upper chest as he hit one of my taunt invisible hairs that was coated in my Hierro.

Even as Amazo's upper chest hit the floor behind the still super-speed legs I shot a point-blank Bala straight into Amazo's face melting the humanoid features and crushing the metal beneath as I rammed his head into the ground with my Bala-covered fist.

"Super hair is bullshit." Kid Flash cursed as he realized all too well that running full tilt into my hairs could also kill him as we walked over to the wreck remains of Amazo's upper body that was no longer moving which seemed to stop the lower legs from working as well.

"Robin call Starlabs so they can send a truck to pick up the remains," Kaldur called out.

I relaxed against the gym's wall, but I noticed something as I habitually pinged my Pesquisa. "We got a voyeur, Kid Flash you want to go see them?" I called out as I noticed another soul of note that was peeping through one of the windows that was close to the roof of the gym.

"Yeah, Lorde I got it!" Kid Flash said before he dashed off into super speed and I heard the gravel of the gym roof rustle as someone up there cursed as they began to escape.

"Hey, what are you doing?" We heard Kid Flash's question from the open window the person was previously peeking through but then his question was responded with a loud bang and a stinging burst of light that broke through the open window.

"A civilian wouldn't have a flashbang," I said before Kaldur cleared his throat.

"Superboy go ahead and make sure whoever is out there isn't trying to get the Amazo parts." The leader of the team ordered, and the clone shattered the polished wooden floor of the basketball court as he jumped through the open window that the person was looking out.

"Should we continue taking these parts to Starlabs or will we just wait for the League to come pick them up as we played the bait and got another android for our troubles," I said pointing to the remains of the Morrow android I destroyed.

Robin who was tapping away at his wrist computer answered me as Kaldur was clearly considering our options. "I told Batman what has happened, and he said to finish escorting everything to Starlabs so they can research and finally safely destroy it in time."

As we began putting all the Amazo parts together Miss Martian helpfully made sure nothing managed to escape our eyes with her telekinesis and finally, the two we sent out returned with Superboy helping carry Kid Flash back into the gym.

"You alright Kid?" Robin asked seeing his friend obviously struggling to stand.

"Yeah, I will be fine. I just can't stand as whoever that was used some kind of taser Bolas and tied up my legs and I pulled a muscle along with my legs being shot from the electricity." He said wryly as Superboy pushed him into the passenger seat of the truck we parked right beside the gym so we could load up the parts easily.

Robin hummed as he wondered about what kind of person used electricity-enhanced bolas of all things before, he shrugged. "We need to get these parts to Starlabs as we have no idea if there are any other entities that are watching over us to steal a weapon that can lock down the League for several hours."

In other words, we had no time to mess around looking for whoever was spying on us, so we quickly finished loading up the parts and headed off towards Starlabs to drop off Amazo.
