Battle with pirates

After a few days the ships were traveling along the Malabar coast.En route,

they had to anchor at various ports on the west coast to get supplies, food and fresh water.

During this time, no accident happened to him.

A few Arab traders welcomed Zubair at a port in Malabar and stayed the travelers for four days, tired of the long journey.

In these four days, the news of the valuable gifts of the King(Raja) of Sarandeep had become known far and wide.

On the day of leave, governor of city met Zubair and Dilip Singh at the port and urged them to be careful in view of the danger of encountering pirates on the way.

Dilip Singh replied.

Do not worry!

Our ships are fully armed.

On the third day, the watchmen of the two ships from the mast indicated the arrival of the two ships one after the other pointing towards the north horizon and the sailors stood on board the ship worried.

Dilip Singh's ship was ahead.

He ordered his ship to stop and waited for Zubair's ship to approach.

When the two ships stopped at a very short distance from each other, Dilip Singh said that they may not be pirate ships, but we should be ready for a fight.

You take your ship west and I'll deal with them.

Zubair replied,

No,we cannot leave you in danger.

Dilip Singh said,

I do not doubt your courage, but our first responsibility is to save the lives of children.

Zubair replied,

If they are really pirates, then it is possible that they have blocked our way from the west as well.

In this case, instead of running away,it would be less dangerous to fight.

And it is also impossible for us to run away leaving the lives of our friends in danger.

As you wish.

However, order the women to go down.

Saying this, Dilip Singh got busy giving instructions to his colleagues.

Zubair said to Khalid,

Khalid, take the women and children down!

The sailors of both the ships armed themselves with nail hooks and started watching the ships coming from a distance. After some time, Dilip Singh recognized the black flag of a ship, it was a pirate ship.

Get ready for the competition!

Zubair addressed his companions and said,

Brothers!

These women and children are our trust.

We have to get them safely to Basra.

If we had not been responsible for the safety of our souls, our method of warfare would have been different from the method,

I have now proposed.

I want two of you to volunteer for a dangerous expedition.

First Khalid and then the established sailors presented their names one after the other.

Zubair said the best swimmers are required for this job.

I entrust this task to Ibrahim and Umar.

On the instructions of Zubair, two boats were launched from both ships and sails were tied to them.

Dilip Singh's ship had dry grass for the elephants.

The sailors took off a few of his knees and loaded them on the boats.

Ibrahim and Omar boarded the boats with burning torches in their hands.

After that, Zubair and his companions took up bows and arrows and waited for the attackers to approach.

The next ship was heading towards Zubair's ship rather than Dilip Singh's ship.

Umar and Ibrahim's boats had made a long circuit and reached the rear of the attackers.

Zubair was running from one end to the other giving instructions to his comrades.

With that, he heard a female voice.

Sit in a safe place!

We are hit by enemy arrows.

Zubair looked back in shock,

Naheed was standing with a bow and arrow in her hand.

The rest of her face was hidden in the veil except for her eyes.

Zubair said,

What are you doing here,

Go down?

Naheed replied with satisfaction.

Don't worry about me.

I know how to shoot arrows.

Having said this,She went forward and sat near a soldier.

There was a fight of arrows for some time. The robbers came closer and started shooting burning arrows.

On the other hand, according to Zubair's instructions,Ibrahim and Umar left their boats towards the ships of the plunderers and, approaching, set fire to the grass with their torches and fell into the water themselves.

The pirates stood ready to pounce on their rival's ships with batons in hand.

Bewildered, they turned to the boats.

Gusts of wind carried the flames from the boats to the sails of the ships.

Suddenly the fire on both the pirates' ships was out of control and they were screaming and jumping into the sea.

At the same time Dilip Singh and Zubair's men were shooting arrows.

Zubair saw a ship of liters coming very close to his ship and ordered to raise the anchor to avoid the danger of fire, but in the meantime, eight ten liters had managed to jump on Zubair's ship by throwing the ropes.

Zubair's companions caught him red-handed. An arrow came from the ship of letters, and stuck in Zubair's left arm.

At the same time, an arrow came out of Naheed's bow and stuck in the chest of a robber.

Zubair said Thank you.

Naheed turned and looked at him. Then said, No need.

Zubair was trying to get the arrow out of his arm by throwing the bow.

Naheed quickly put down the bow and grabbed Zubair's arm with one hand and pulled the arrow out with the other hand.

As soon as the arrow came out, a stream of blood flowed from Zubair's arm.

Naheed pulled up the sleeve of his shirt and quickly took off his face veil and tied it on the wound.

Zubair's ship had escaped from the attack of the gunmen and the sailors were jumping into the water in desperation with the burning ship.

Zubair said, picking up the bow again. Naheed!

Now you go to the women.

And comfort them that we have won by the grace of God.

What about you??

No, it is a very minor injury.

Don't worry about me,Zubair's gaze involuntarily fell on Naheed's face for a moment while saying this.

The soldierly dignity added to the charm of his features.

Naheed suddenly felt that she was exposed, and she quickly stepped down and went to the women. . .

A few men got off the burning ship and boarded a boat, and a man, who appeared to be the leader of the bandits, started waving a white flag.

Zubair forbade the archers with a wave of his hand.

Umar and Ibrahim had reached near the ship after doing their work.

Zubair ordered his ship to be safely anchored and to throw down a set of ropes.

Umar and Ibrahim boarded the ship.

Khalid draws Zubair to Dilip Singh's associates, who were still practicing their arrows on the enemy diving into the sea. Zubair also forbade them with a sign of his hand and the robbers, satisfied with their value, started climbing the ship through the ladder.

Finally, the boat of the leader of the robbers stopped between the two ships.

A tall and elderly man with half of his beard graying,He was looking at the sailors like a wounded lion.

In this boat, Zubair saw a young man and a girl.

Both were very different from the robbers in terms of appearance and clothing.

Zubair pointed towards the National Temple and the man as the leader of the robbers

And the sailors brought the boat to the ship and climbed up the rope ladder one after the other.

The girl's face showed signs of illness and pain.

He was holding her arm and supporting her while she was in a good mood and well dressed and she was keeping her feet on the stairs.

On reaching the ship, the young man said something in a foreign language, and stared at the robbers.

Although Zubair did not fully understand his language,

He felt that he was complaining about the atrocities of the robbers and expressing his gratitude.

Zubair consoled him according to his ability in the mixed language of Sindh and Sarandeep. The young man and the girl, impressed by his friendly tone, looked at him with grateful eyes. The girl wanted to say something, but her voice got stuck in her throat and she started looking at Zubair with tears in her eyes.

His age was known to be around fourteen or fifteen years.

The beautiful face was flushed like an afternoon flower.

Zubair then comforted both of them with a bang.

Finally, the leader of the robbers punched the ship.

Instead of tears of regret, there were flashes of revenge in his eyes.

After a while,

Dilip Singh got down from his ship and reached Zubair's ship by boat.

Dilip Singh saw Zubair's shirt sleeve covered in blood and asked,

"Are you injured?"

Zubair nonchalantly replied,

"It's a minor wound."

The well-dressed young man said something and attracted Dilip Singh and the two started talking to each other.

After talking a few words,he said to Zubair's companions in Arabic.

There is a chest lying in the boat, bring it up.

The sailors tied the small sandalwood box with a rope and pulled it up.

Dilip Singh lifted the lid and all the sailors were amazed to see the chest full of gold beads and jewels.

On Zubair's inquiry,

Dilip Singh asked the well-dressed young man a few more questions and he narrated his own story.
