The final defeat of King (Raja) Dahir

By evening, the army of Sindh had fled leaving thirty thousand dead bodies in the field except King (Raja) Dahir. The troops of the army, who were sure of their defeat by the third hour, had turned towards Arur. The rest of the army gave up when King (Raja) Dahir was killed, and marched towards Brahmanabad.

After chasing them for some time, the Muslims returned to the camp.

The number of Muslim wounded and martyrs in this war was around 3500. The soldiers were picking up the wounded from the field and laying them in rows and Muhammad ibn al-Qasim was busy dressing them with a group of surgeons. Zubair carrying a wounded man on his back approached Muhammad ibn al-Qasim and while kicking him on the ground addressed Muhammad ibn al-Qasim.

Just look at it. It is very badly injured?" Muhammad ibn al-Qasim said while getting up quickly and approaching the injured. who

Saad's face was stained with blood. Muhammad ibn al-Qasim tried to ask for his mouth with a cloth, but he held Muhammad ibn al-Qasim's hand and brought a slight smile to his lips and said, there is no need for it now. I just wanted to see you one last time. Zubair and Muhammad ibn al-Qasim's looked around.

Khalid was giving water to the wounded a few steps away. Zubair called him and he ran to Saad.

"Uncle you..."

It came out of his tongue. Saad extended his hand towards him and Khalid sat holding it in both hands.

Saad said. I am not afraid of death anymore but I am very guilty. Do you believe that God will forgive me!"

Muhammad bin Qasim said that the blood of the martyrs washes away all their sins. Saad looked at Khalid and said in a low voice, son! Take care of Zahra and Zubair! I don't think you need to say anything about Naheed.

For a while he looked at both of them one after the other and fixed his eyes on the face of Muhammad ibn al-Qasim. His eyes dimmed. After taking a few deep breaths, Saad let go of Khalid and Muhammad ibn al-Qasim's hands.

In the meantime, some of Saad's friends had also gathered around him.

Muhammad ibn al-Qasim put his hand on his pulse, and closed his eyes with his hand.

Muhammad bin Qasim wanted to get up and turn to the wounded, when a rider approached him carrying a wounded person.

Seeing him, Muhammad ibn al-Qasim asked, Bheem Singh, who is this? Bheem Singh got down from the horse and said, Khalid! Look at your father! Khalid was sitting near Saad with his head bowed. When he saw the injured person, he screamed a little and ran to put his head in his lap.

Abba ! My father! !" Getting no response from the wounded man, he turned to Bheem Singh. Where did you get them from?

"How are they injured?" replied Bheem Singh. However, he attacked a group of soldiers. My father and I were forced to accompany him. Father fell from his horse after being hit by an arrow and was crushed under the feet of an elephant. Even Bheem Singh became silent and his eyes filled with tears. After a while he tried to recover and said. And they went on and on. After killing five or six soldiers, he was wounded and fell from his horse.

His last wish was that I want to meet my son. You see them well. I think they are still alive?"

Muhammad ibn al-Qasim pointed to a few soldiers and said,

"You go with them and bring the dead body of his father." He himself turned to father. Al-Hassan and, placing his hand on his pulse, said, "Bring water!"

A soldier filled a glass of water with his musket and Muhammad ibn al-Qasim opened Abul Hasan's mouth and gave him a few sips of water.

Abul Hasan regained consciousness and opened his eyes, but as soon as he recognized Khalid, he fainted again for a while.

After bringing him back to consciousness, Muhammad ibn al-Qasim bandaged his chest wound.

Abul Hasan's first question to Khalid was this.

where is your mother

She...She...Khalid started looking around nervously. Abul Hasan said with a painful smile on his face.

Son ! Don't panic. I understand that she is not alive.

Where is Naheed?

"She is in Dabil?"

"Then your wife will also be there."

I wish ! I could see them before death, but they are far away and I am only a guest for a few hours?"

Muhammad ibn al-Qasim said comfortingly. Do not worry. I send them now. Inshallah they will reach here by the day after tomorrow on post horses. Abul Hasan looked at Muhammad ibn al-Qasim with a benevolent gaze and said,

Thanks!

But I may not live till the day after tomorrow."

Muhammad ibn al-Qasim replied. Your wound is not serious.

If God approves of your meeting, will it be done?"

On the fourth day, some time after sunrise, besides Muhammad ibn al-Qasim, Khalid and Zubair, Naheed and Zahra were also present at the residence of Abul Hasan. After reaching this place in the evening, Naheed and Zahra spent the whole night in Abul Hasan's care, like Zubair and Khalid, despite being tired from the journey.

Some time before , seeing tears in Khalid's eyes like Naheed and Zahra, Abul Hasan said,

Son! I could not have asked for a better death for myself.

Shedding tears on death is a ritual of the world, but performing this ritual for the death of martyrdom is making a mockery of martyrdom. Don't look at me with such bleary eyes.

I hate tears.

In the hard times of life, the treasure of a Muslim is not tears, but blood?

Khalid wiped his tears and said,

"Father, forgive me!"

At noon, Abul Hasan went to God.
