Statue

After three months, Muhammad ibn al-Qasim, besides the Arab soldiers, had given military training to one hundred thousand Sindhi Muslims and those non-Muslim soldiers who, despite not accepting Islam, waved the flag of the Islam of this young leader to the last frontiers of all the rest of India considered the greatest service of his justice made him a god in the eyes of every inhabitant of the conquered region.

They considered him as their savior and felt the need for such a savior for the rest of India

One day, a famous stone carver from Arur put his masterpiece on display in the city. It was a marble statue with these words engraved under it: "The god who established the rule of justice and equality in this country." Thousands of the city's residents gathered around the statue and showered the statue with flowers from head to toe.

I covered Many chiefs of Arur were ready to pay a high price for the stone carving to adorn this statue in their house, but it was the unanimous decision of the priests of the city that the place of the statue of a god like Muhammad ibn al-Qasim should not be in the palace of the chiefs.

The priests chose an old Buddhist temple for it.

In the evening, while the idol was being taken to the temple, the procession of the priests and people of the city passed in front of the royal palace.

Muhammad ibn al-Qasim got worried and left the palace. The procession stopped seeing him standing on the steps of the palace gate. The high priest of the city went ahead and said. These people cannot respect you more than that. It is a masterpiece of carving. But your image in their hearts is more beautiful than this idol.

Muhammad ibn al-Qasim addressed the crowd in a loud voice and said,

"Stop! I want to say something to you !"

The sound of bells and trumpets stopped and a hush fell over the crowd.

Muhammad ibn al-Qasim in his speech explained Islam's point of view on Islamism and concluded by appealing to the people: Don't insult me.

If there is any quality in me, then it is given by Islam.

If I can become a good example of humanity by following Islam, then this door is open for everyone

You worship me, not him, but the one who made me, whom I worship, whose religion teaches justice, equality and freedom to every human being?

The people were overcome with emotion, but compared to the idol, they could not refuse to fulfill the orders of the living god. When Muhammad ibn al-Qasim said that I feel spiritual pain after seeing all this. So the stonemason went ahead and folded his hands and said that a stonemason can only express his feelings by making a statue.

I heard the names of the gods and used to create different imaginary images of them. But now after seeing you, I am sure that even if I make a picture of any deity, its shape and form will be the same as yours. My son was injured in the battle of lesbela.

You treated him like other wounded and his wounds healed but he fell ill on reaching here

And after a few days, when he was dying, he was kissing your handkerchief which you had tied on his wound. May the soul also suffer.

I consider it necessary to obey the order of my son instead of worshiping his god.

If you order, I am ready to break this idol!"

Muhammad ibn al-Qasim replied, "This will be a great favor to me."

" Favor ? Don't say like that. Even after this statue is broken, I will consider you as a god and millions of people of Sindh will also consider you as a god.

Muhammad ibn al-Qasim said,

"But my only desire is to be recognized in this country as a servant of humanity?"

The stonemason placed a stone on the chest and smashed the statue into pieces with a strong blow.

After this incident, thousands of residents of Arur became interested in the teaching of Islam and the number of Muslims in Sindh began to increase day by day.
