Chapter 05: Invaders

The scene came where Chloe is standing outside the ship and feeling the fresh air of the Ocean.

Chloe's thought "Today I will be reborn, I am the daughter of Chief Briggs Patrickson. I will leave Chloe Rivers and become Chloe Patrickson from now on."

"I'm sorry dad, but i will do everything to live and not waste your sacrifice." Chloe said while looking at the sky.

Then a massive Explosion appeared from Egypt.

The ship got shooked even on waters. That was a proof that the explosion now was a Nuke.

People aboard the ship started to panic.

Then The Captain of the ship started speaking through the Speakers all over the ship.

"Hello, Everybody stop panicking and listen to me."

The people on the ship started to calm down a bit.

"Based on my speculation. That explosion just now was a Nuke. So I'm sure of it, that egypt is no more."

The Captain said.

Then people started crying and asked "Why do they have to nuke our country? was it necessary? Alot of people were still left behind."

The captain replied "I think it was necessary since the Giants were immune to our weapons. we couldn't penetrate there bodies with our bullets."

Then the people on the ship started crying because of their relatives being left behind at the outskirts of Egypt.

"I'm sorry everyone, but we do not hold the country's decisions. It is the ambassador. Please stay put and do not panic, we are almost at the boundaries of Swaudi." The Captain said.

Then Chloe thought of Niko. "Is niko somehow alright? Why do i feel uneasy. I Hope you're not dead niko."

Then the scene came where the meeting was held 2hours before the bombing.

Briefer asked "What is your decision on this? Mr. Ambassador?"

"Proceed with your plan, Deploy the Nuke and destroy those giants. Everyone left will be the sacrifice if this Plan succeeded." The Ambassador of Egypt replied.

"Then let us commence with the Operation Package drop" The President said.

Then the scene was changed to the warships from america having displayed at the pacific oceans.

Planes were being checked if they're any problems. then a small package (nuke) was put at one of the planes. then the Commander of the Warship stated "that one of the planes will carry the nuke. Before dropping make sure you are above 50k feet to prevent self sacrifice. Understand?"

Soldiers replied while saluting "Yes sir!"

Then the commander briefed them on who's plane had the bomb to commence the operation.

Then the planes started to fly up the sky and going to where Egypt is located.

Then before the bombing, The giants were making Camp at the Egypt City.

They were mumbling a different language and then took 1 soldier alive and then they interrogated it.

The Captain of the Alpha breed (With the Red helmet) asked "Do you understand? I am using Human language. So do you understand?"

The captive soldier replied "Yes, Yes, I understand. Please spare me oh great giant."

Then the Giant laughed and said "You weak humans are nothing more than playthings to us. Why should we spare you when you are this weak."

Then the other giants started to laugh.

"Please spare me, I will do everything i can to help you on what you need!" The soldier begged while saying.

Then the giants were talking with a different language.

Then the Captain asked the soldier "Do you know where the other countries are? If you lead us the way then perhaps I might change my mind and spare you."

"Yes ofcourse! Any country that you wish to go! I'll guide you there! so please spare me!" The Soldier replied.

Then the Captain of the giants smiled and said "Good good, for now do not kill this human soldier. Got that my brothers?"

Then the other giants nodded.

Then suddenly a plane passed by.

And then dropped the package.

Then the giants were just standing and looking what the Plane dropped.

Then when the Nuke touched the ground it Exploded.

Destroying every buildings at Egypt.

Then a smoke came after the explosion.

But the Giants were still standing.

"P1 what is the status? Did you drop the Package?" The commander of warship Asked.

"This is P1, Sir i have dropped the package and now heading back towards the Warship." P1 replied.

"What about the giants? did the nuke killed the giants?" The commander asked.

"I'm sorry to say this sir. But the Entire egypt is destroyed and yet those giants are standing without taking any damages at all." The P1 replied anxiously.

"Fuck, gather all the deployed troops. Retreat immediately." The Commander ordered.

"Roger that commander." P1 replied.

Then the Fighter planes Positioned themselves at a triangular position and then headed back towards the Warship.

Then the scene went back to the White house.

"It seems we have just wasted the remaining lives of the citizens that were left behind at egypt." The briefer said nervously.

The Ambassador of egypt then replied "It was a 50-50 shot. We couldn't determine the toughness of those Giant creatures that is why the Bombing was a necessary move. Now we know that even nukes can't kill those creatures."

"What is your plan for now Mr. President? Would we call all the other nations and unite to stop this Creatures?" The briefer asked.

The president was silent.

Then the scene came where Chloe was eating at the back of the Ship talking with Michael mayns.

Michael then said "I think I've heard about your Surname before. Was it Patrickson right? I'm sure I've heard it before, but i forgot where."

"Yes it is Patrickson, I am the daughter of the Chief in Command of the Relic Corps. Chief Briggs Patrickson." Chloe replied.

"Oh now I remember! Yes Chief Briggs Patrickson was the one who gave food to the refuges outside of Egypt when we had food shortage." Michael said.

"Yes, even though he was super strict. He sure was a kind natured man." Chloe replied while remembering their past memories.

Then michael smiled and said "I'm sure of it that he is resting now at heaven. So make sure to live longer for his sake."

Chloe then looks at the necklace her father left her and said "Yes, I will sure live longer and kill those giants."

Then michael smiled at chloe and said "You better, Then let's eat or the food will get cold."

Then they ate while feeling the breeze of the Ocean air.

Then the scene changed where Niko was eating with Clay.

Niko then asked Clay "Do you perhaps know about this Giants or so called Alpha breeds?"

Clay then looked at Niko and replied "Yes, We knew from the start. We Reptoids live for 1000 years unlike humans who's span is only 10% of our life span."

"So how old are you now Clay?" Niko asked.

Clay replied "I am 800 years old now, I am an old geezer. Keke! But I still have the strength to fight! you know."

"Old geezer!" Niko said while laughing.

Niko then asks again "Where did those Alpha breeds came from? And is this the only city you have lived for alot of years?"

Clay replied "As I've said those Alpha breeds were the first species to be born on planet earth that had intellect. No this City is merely a small part of our Country."

"Oh, so were does those alpha breeds live? how did they managed to hide from us? did they came from a different planet? We humans managed to explore the world but didn't get any information about those Alpha breeds." Niko asked.

"You surely jest about exploring the world boy. You think that the Planet is small? Keke. loosen the things that were taught by the humans. Those are not the real informations about the world." Clay replied.

Niko then picks up a map from his pocket and then shows it to clay then said "This is the world, I've been here (America) Then here (Asia) then here (Europe) All of those continents, I've been there and all of their countries within. So how come you say that the informations i have about the world are wrong?"

Clay laughs at Niko and then explains "You see, This map of yours is just a map of the Northern Continent that was shattered 4000 years ago. This is not the entire world. Keke!"

"What do you mean Northern Continent? This is basically the whole world. I mean humans have tried to explore the ends of the world but they would just be at the open seas and then after months they would return to the opposite side of the map where they started." Niko replied.

"You humans have no knowledge about the world? I'm 100% sure that what you've learned from humans were false information." Clay said.

"No it can't be, you see humans have Satellites that were deployed deep above the outside atmosphere of earth. We have made satellites and can see through the entire world." Niko anxiously said.

"Boy, What do you mean? You mean you've succeded deploying technologies out of space?" Clay asked.

"Yes! that's right, That's why we are certain that we have eyes all around the world. and we know that this map is the proof of the entire world." Niko replied.

Clay started to laugh loudly and said "Boy, what do you mean space. Keke! Your continent was Covered by a Anti magnetic sphere that can't be intruded by other Species. I mean if you don't understand i will explain it to you clearly."

Then Clay explained that the North continent was so big and was covered with a glacier sphere that can't be destroy by any other species. And it was like a house on a snow globe.

Then Niko's eyes were shining as he learned new things about the world.

Then niko asked "So if what your saying is real, how come those giants invaded us? and you guys too? were you from North continent before too?"

Clay then replied "That we still don't know how they came in here. but we already knew that the glacier sphere was damaged because we were able to come here and build a city 200 years before."

"Oh so they were already here? I mean the Alpha breeds." Niko asked.

"I don't know that much since I am just an 800 years old geezer." Clay replied

Then Niko burst into laughter and said "Can you stop with the old geezer phrase old man! I'm dying out here!"

Then Clay laughed and said "It's better to laugh rather than crying right?"

Niko then nodded and said "Thanks Clay I think i feel better now. I just hope when the time comes that we go up to the surface again, I'm hoping that I get to see Chloe again. I hope she's doing alright."

Then Clay holds him at the shoulder and said "It's gonna be alright. Just relax and stay here for now."

Then the scene went to Chloe lying down at her bed at the Ship.

Then a stranger knocks at his door.

"Excuse me, Does this room perhaps belong to Ms. Chloe Patrickson?" The stranger asked.

Chloe then replies "Yes it is me, Why is it? And who might you be sir?"

"I am the Captain of this Ship, Captain Zeck Willford. I'm here to ask you something, One of my crew overheard your conversation with Michael Mayns earlier." Zeck said.

"Just a minute let me open the door for you." Chloe replied.

Then the Captain came inside her room and then they shaked hands and Chloe sat at her bed and the Captain sat at the Chair.

"So what is it that you wanted to ask me about Captain?" Chloe asked.

"Oh its about your father, I heard your father's name was Briggs Patrickson. Where is he now? Is he doing alright?" The Captain replied.

"I'm sorry to say this but my father died, He was at E-Port before our ship left to help the citizens. But after sometime the giants were rampaging all over E-Port and even destroyed the last Ship that was on the Ocean." Chloe replied.

Then the Captain gripped his two hands and nodded then said "I'm sorry for your loss. I knew that your father would always do that. He was that kind of man afterall."

Chloe then nodded and replied "Yes I guess even though we aren't blood related. I inherited his guts through bonding."

The captain laughed and said "Just don't overdo yourself girl. I think your father did everything he could to let you live more longer."

"Yes captain, I got to enjoy the life as a Relic agent thanks to him. Anyways captain, are we almost at swaudi?"

The captain then turned serious and said "No, I'm afraid we can't go there anymore."

Chloe asked "Why? I thought we would go there and take refuge? So where is this ship heading then?"

"It seems that the Giants are all over the world now, They even showed themselves at Swaudi. They keep appearing in every country of the world." The Captain replied.

"What?! Giants are at Swaudi? How come!? I thought they could only come here through the Pyramid Portals?! Chloe asked in shock.

"No, the Pyramids weren't the only portals they've built. I think the Pyramids where the last to be created because it was on the surface. It seems that the U.S, Asia, Europe are having a bad time with this Giant creatures right now." The Captain replied.

"What? Pyramids were the last portals they've built? What do you mean?" Chloe asked nervously.

The captain had a serious look on his face and said.

"The Other portals were hidden underground on every country on Earth. A massive earthquake shook every Country then Giants came out beneath the cracked surface. That is why we had a gut that the Other Portals were hidden underground."

Chloe was shocked and then she asked "Why is the pyramid out on the surface? was it a mistake or were they in a rush? If the other portals were hidden underground then the Pyramid portals should have a reason right?"

"Yes, that's probably true that the Pyramid portals have reasons for being at the surface. And the World's most brightest Person gave his thought about this earlier and spread news all over the world." Captain replied.

"Then what was his thought about this?" Chloe asked.

"He thinks that the Pyramid portals were only the first phase to learn from Human weaponry. If they were to Conquer the world, they should first learn what the human's weaponry are capable of right? So that's why the Pyramid Portals were out above to gather attention all over the world. And they would try to kill the first giants that came but unfortunately the Human's technology about weaponry are far below on their expectations. So that's why they waited for the Nuke to happen before sending all the giants to destroy our world. Because the Nuke was our last hope on killing this giants. But it didn't even scratched their thick skins."

The Captain explained.

Chloe was at shock that her jaw was hanging.

Then Chloe asked "So that means the Giants at Egypt were just a decoy? And the real world conquering plan is what's happening right now?"

"I'm afraid you are indeed correct. That is what the Most genius person is thinking right now. He said that we were lured on focusing to kill them that much that we've shown our strongest weaponry (Nuke) to them." The captain replied.

Chloe then began to look down as she feel that there's no way on winning this war against those Invaders.
