Title: Chatting With the Nine Tailed Beasts

...

A few years had passed since our encounter with the clan kids and from what I've noticed, qualitative changes have begun to occur in the several clans.

It took some time for the progress to show and I wasn't really surprised. What? You expect normal people to learn what we've taught in some short few years? Impossible.

When it comes to teaching, I doubt anyone would come close to accomplish what we can accomplish. Maybe I should open a Heavenly Sage Academy or something?

Nah... Maybe after the fourth Shinobi war or thereabout, for now, I've already made enough butterflies to render the entire Naruto world knowledge useless.

Some important individuals and events would remain constant though.

That reminds me, u haven't spoken or heard of or from the tailed beast for centuries now, even my clones had no contact with after a few couple decades of my departure.

Maybe it's time to have small family reunion, the problem now is finding them.

From what I remember, the Old man built some temples in strategic places for them before dying, so that they could effectively absorb the malice of humanity with the seals he placed on them.

Perhaps going to find them in their respective places could be a good touring experience.

"Ne, Nami dear, what do you think about going to meet the Kurama and his siblings?" I asked Nami who was laying down beside me.

"HM? Thise nine cuties back then? Sure. When do we leave?" She asked and became excited all of a sudden.

"Well, we still have to find them separately. Pops built separate temples for them to reside in. The closest to us is probably Shukaku, or maybe Isobu in the sea. Also, we have to ask Ria and Kaguya to see if they're free." I answered as I pondered on the things we have to do.

"You're right. Let's rest camp here for some time then." She said and lay back down on my chest.

Mm... Now that I think about it, wasn't there a separate Mental Dimension the Tailed Beasts could use to converse with eachother despite their distance?

Why didn't I think of that?

Closing my eyes, I simply spread my spiritual energy in form of tiny threads throughout the entire planet with the intent to find the tailed beast chakra and form a spiritual connection to them.

These took some minutes and finally I was able to feel the nine beast spiritual fluctuations. They were still living a pretty peaceful life and were even revered to as Guardian beast of their respective places.

They were even given offerings. Hmm? Don't tell me...

The Kurama clan, Kurama. Nine Tails, Genjutsu.

Don't tell me the Kurama clan came into existence in this way. I said as I sat up in shock, inadvertently pushing Hinami off me.

"Ouch. What was that for?" Hinami complained.

"Aiya. Sorry. Sorry. I just made a startling discovery. C'mere, let me pamper you a little." I waved my hand and beckoned her to come.

"Humph." She snorted but still got into a comfortable position on my chest. "So what was the startling discovery?" She asked.

"Hehe, that's a secret, my dear little Nami, that's a secret. How about I tell you a strong of a boy who dreamt?" I said.

"Humph, you and your secrets. Alright, I'm all ears." She pouted cutely in mock anger.

"Sure thing. So long, long ago, in a distant planet in a nearby universe, there lived a boy with the name, Joy boy...." I began telling a fabricated story of Joy boy till the point his Will will be awakened in his descendant of the house of D.

Meanwhile, my spiritual threads strongly connected with that of the tailed Beasts in their respective places and with a slight tug, I dragged them into my sea of consciousness.

Maybe because of my human height or because of their gigantic forms, they seemingly neglected my existence as they looked around warily, trying to spot who was able to pull their consciousness from their bodies.

"Ahem! It seems like you nine no longer have me in your eyes huh?" I said with a smile.

No seriously though, they literally didn't really have me in their eyes anymore. Look how tall they have grown. Last I checked, they were still around the size of two adult human but now, even the shortest, Shukaku was already over three hundred feet in height. That's like a hundred meters in height right there.

"That can't be..."

"Impossible..."

"Nii-san?..."

"A Genjutsu?..."

3rd POV

Different voices were heard at the same time as they all had various reactions as they saw the little figure standing lazily in front of them.

"My little borthers and sisters, it had been a long time, hasn't it?" Shun said.

'Are my eyes playing tricks on me?" Kurama thought and looked at his fellow beast to see if he was the only one affected.

Shun's smile became deeper as he looked at the beasts.

The raccoon beast,Shukaku, with his bloated belly and a tail swishing around and generating gusts of wind.

The cat beast, Matatabi, looking all mean and fiesty despite being a lady. Well, she was always the fiesty one of them all

The turtle beast, Isobu, looking at Shun from his shell. 'What a shy fellow. Guess the years didn't change him much' Shun thought..

The monkey beast, Son Goku, looking all mean and all. If he had a human expression, he would surely look like a gruff man.

The dolphin and horse mixed beast, Kokuo. The slug beast, Saiken. The beetle beast and the most laid back of them all, Chomei. The manly looking octopus, Gyuuki and the most fearsome of them all, Kurama.

Shun looked at the nine beasts and admired their appearances in his mind. They all had unique appearances and their beauty was something even he had to say he admired.

"What? You think, some of them are ugly? Please, they may be but to me who saw them in their childhood, they're as beautiful as anything." Shun thought to himself.

"Nii-san- No, who are you?" Kurama asked with clear hostility after seeing that he want the only one affected by this Genjutsu.

"Oh ya? Little Ku-chan has forgotten his aniki?" Shun said in a teasing voice.

"Wha-what? How dare you call me that? Wait, only aniki would call me that. Don't tell me..." Kurama was embarrassed and spoke hysterically.

"Haha. Ku-chan, that has a nice ring to it. Hahaha." Shukaku laughed loudly at the embarrassed Kurama.

"Shut up, racoon!" Kurama shouted at him.

"Huh!? Wanna fight? Huh!?" Shukaku shouted back in provocation.

"They're at it again. When will this ever stop? Even in front of aniki. Humph." Matatabi's gentle yet firm voice sounded.

"It's in their nature, let them be." Roshi said in a sagely and mature manner.

"It saddens my heart that you lot didn't even miss me over the years. Even you Isobu, you're even hiding from me. Huh?" Shun sighed in sorrow at their reactions.

"No. No. Aniki, we missed you- No, I missed you." Isobu tried to explain as he brought his head out of his shell.

"Kuhaha. Aniki, we thought you were really dead like everyone else so we didn't really know how to react, right guys?" Chomei's go-happy voice sounded throughout the entire mental space.

By this time, Shukaku and Kurama had already seized that brotherly banter and were also trying to explain themselves.

Shun waved his hands as he laughed. "Don't mind. Don't mind. I don't blame you at all. A lot has happened over the years. Why don't we catch up while we're here?"

"Sure thing aniki, it's not like we have any important thing doing at all." Saiken who had been silent agreed readily.

Like her brothers and sisters, she had gradually grown bored of conversing with humans who were rather short-lived, well, apart from Chomei. With her personality, she'd never grow bored.

"Hmm... Alright then, but before that, why don't you all take suitable forms so we can converse properly. I gave you all the Transformation Technique all those years ago right? Show me your progress now." Shun said and created a round table with ten seats around it.

"Eh? Aniki, you still remember that technique?" Shukaku screamed in fright.

"What? Why should I forget my own techniques again. Don't tell me you can't use it." Shun asked with a raised eyebrow.

"Humph, trash." Kurama spoke under his breath but everyone heard him.

"Huh? What did you say you stinky fox? For this great me, this technique is nothing." Shukaku screamed.

"Maybe you'd tone it down with the screams, you're annoying aniki, you know." Gyuuki said calmly as he transformed into a middle aged man with ox horns and took a seat.

Kurama follows after as he transformed into a lazy looking teenager with elve like ears.

"Humph. Show off." Shukaku snorted and also transformed into a early teen with tattoos all over his face.

Shun eyebrow twitched looking at him. He looked like an adolescent going through a phase or something.

The others took their human forms as well and sat down.

Shun had a fulfilled smile on his face and further admired them before saying. "Well then, why don't you all tell me the happenings in your lives during these past centuries."
