Title: Domain Expansion... Timeskip

...

"Domain Expansion: Mugen no Reiki!" Yusano declared with her hands clenched in a hand sign.

Crackle. Crackle. Crackle.

The sound of ice forming, snapping, piercing, crackling and popping rang out as the entire area 20 meters from Yusano was covered in pure white Ice.

It was so instantaneous that Shun didn't even have the time to observe the formation. However, as soon as It was formed he felt a restrictive force acting on him.

With a little spread of his senses, he immediately understood something fundamental about this ice.

Everything within this area was totally and completely frozen solid. The air, molecules, gasses and what not, all turned into tiny ice filaments.

"What the hell is this?" Shun couldn't help but mutter to himself. He had expected a lot from his sister, but this was simply too much for an awakening.

"Mugen Reiki... infinite Cold, huh!" He muttered. This summons a space that is drastically colder than absolute zero, which is -273.15 degrees Celsius.

It not only lowers the temperature in the space, but it also freezes everything, techniques and energy of anyone within its range. With this technique, Shun could imagine Yusano freezing opponents in place to prevent them from using their abilities.

"I did it! Shun! I did it!" Yusano's excited squeal brought Shun out of his reverie and he couldn't help but smile gently at her.

This had been her dream for as long as he could remember... Actually, it was since he was proclaimed a genius for forming a Domain at the age of four.

"You did it nee-san." He said and looked around once again. "And it's a splendid Domain at that. I'm sure the clan would be proud."

"Of course they will. I'm a genius." Yusano said emulating Shun's usual quirk.

"Hahaha. Very funny." Shun mocked and then said. "Although you took your time in Awakening this Domain, you did a very good job with it."

"Right? But I feel it isn't at its peak yet... Some things can still be added to it." Yusano smiled at the praise and remarked.

"Of course. As it is now, I believe there's still room for improvement. However, You have all the time in the world for that. For now, let's enjoy our vacation." Shun said.

"You're right... Wait! What?! We aren't on a vacation." Yusano corrected. Shun rolled his eyes at her and said. "You just awakened your domain. Revel in it. Let's go around doing something other than the mission for once."

"Shun."

"Hmm?"

"You literally spend an Entire month doing nothing but playing with Naruto every year. That's a vacation. Right now? We are on a mission that needs to be completed." The girl insisted.

"Sigh. Fine. Fine. And here I was thinking I'd give you some pointers on how to go about your domain." Shun shook his head regretfully with a sad expression marring his face.

"Heh, like you know anything about Ice. I can confidently say that only the Yuki clan members can compete with me in that regard." Yusano said haughtily.

This was one of her major accomplishments. She could proudly say that she had Shun beat in something. To her who poured her everything into Ice manipulation, a little arrogance was to be expected.

"Hmm? Are you daring me dearest sister?" Shun smirked at that comment.

Hearing that familiar method of address, Yusano couldn't help but flinch a little, but remembering her training, she regained her confidence.

"Heh, I guess I am." She replied, causing Shun to chuckle. "That's all well and good but what's the stake in this?"

"Stake?"

"Yeah. If I win, we don't return immediately, if I lose, we return as soon as possible." Shun said.

"Without any deceits?"

"Without any deceits." Shun nodded. "Then you're on." Yusano quickly agreed. She knew Shun and had seen him dabble in all elements. Lightning and Earth being the most frequent.

But she had never seen him train in water or air. Those were the two elements needed to Create Ice.

A genius he may be, but not even a genius could create something as complex as Ice without some form of Training.

"Well then." Shun said and opened his right hand facing up. For a moment, nothing happened and just when Yusano was about to call him out, little flickers of wind and Water droplets appeared on his hands.

'Superb Chakra Control. As expected...' She thought as her expression grew dim. She shouldn't have gone against her better judgment and dared this little monster.

The fundamental principles of creating Ice lay within the intricate control over chakra.

To harness and manipulate the elemental properties of air and water, a skilled shinobi with specialized training in the Ice Release nature transformation would begin by channeling their chakra, focusing on the simultaneous usage of both elements.

This delicate fusion requires an immense amount of chakra control and concentration.

As the shinobi draws upon the surrounding air, their chakra seamlessly interacts with the oxygen molecules present in the atmosphere.

By manipulating the flow and density of these oxygen particles, they create a frigid environment that acts as the catalyst for freezing water.

Utilizing the principles of thermodynamics, the shinobi alters the kinetic energy of the air particles, slowing them down to the point of reducing the temperature.

Simultaneously, the shinobi extends their control over water, whether from a natural source like a river or a stored supply in a water-based technique.

By imbuing their chakra with the specific qualities of water, they shape its properties, increasing its vulnerability to the chilled air.

The chakra-infused water molecules align themselves with the altered airflow, harmonizing with it to bring about the transformation into ice.

This was all the process any normal person without the Kekkei Genkai would go through just to create Ice. However, Shun seemingly bypassed all these, or rather, he already knew all this and was just recreating it once more.

"There." He said as a diamond shaped Ice lay on his palm. "Now watch this." He said and instantly, the diamond cracked and broke down into tiny particles which he threw up in the air.

As they came in contact with the sunlight, they all took on different colors, similar to that of a rainbow.

"Wow..." Yusano exclaimed, completely or momentarily forgetting that Shun had won the dare. "It's beautiful."

"I know." Shun said in a matter of fact tone which Yusano ignored or didn't even pick up in the first place. "How did you do that?"

"It's a simple application of physics. Diffraction at its finest." Shun answered.

"Diffraction? Isn't that based off of light? You can also manipulate Light?" She asked in shock.

"Chakra is much more than you all know. Spend some time in the library reading for a start and you'll know more than you think you do." Shun waved his hands at her shock.

"Now, I believe we have a little promise to keep." He said, causing Yusano to sigh in defeat. "Whatever, two days. After that, we return immediately." She said,

"Understood. As for your Ice, when we get back to Hana, read up on the principles of time... It would come in handy." Shun offered.

"Time? I get I want my domain to have a slowing effect but time?"

"Yeah. I don't know if you know, but time is merely an illusion of the mind. One we can't ever break out of. There are many ways to Change the flow of time for everyone. Just read up on it will you?" Shun said impatiently as he began walking towards the country of fire.

"You're not going to Konoha, are you? You just came back some weeks ago."

"Of course not. I'm going to that place... what's it called again? Land of grass? Yeah that one."

"Any reasons why?"

"Not particularly. I just heard there was an Uzumaki family being maltreated there is all..."

"Uzumaki? Weren't they all...you know, by the 1st Hanakage?"

"Yup. But a red hair is hard to miss, not to mention two... Plus, not all of them were sent over there..."

"Yeah, some would've escaped before the other villages attacked. Makes you wonder, huh? Why didn't we attack back then, but now, just for one Hyuga, we're threatening to go to war." Yusano asked with a conflicted expression.

Shun, the culprit rolled his eyes at her. If he had saved them all, would Nagato exist? Would Karin come to exist? Although Karin isn't really relevant, she was still a canon character.

"Perhaps the Uzumaki clan didn't ask for help back then. Pride is the cause of most if not all of the wars ever fought." Shun defended his past life persona.

"Perhaps... But-"

"We shouldn't judge the actions of our predecessors, especially ones from a time when we weren't even a thought yet. Just learn from them and move on... Isn't that what's called living?" Shun interrupted before she could come up with something else.

"...Yeah. Yeah, you're right." She said and rested the matter, causing Shun to breathe in relief.

...

General POV

And so, Shun made haste to the land of grass together with Yusano. On the way, she pestered him to tell her what he knew on the applications of Ice.

Due to her relentless assault, he gave her some tips on how Ice could be used.

There were a lot of characters he could take lessons from but he decided to teach her what he knew.

It can be wielded as a weapon, capable of freezing enemies, creating icy barriers, or summoning blizzards. Ice may also allow individuals to manipulate and control the temperature, creating a freezing effect in their vicinity.

Ice is often associated with yin, signifying the feminine and passive aspects of life. Normally, people who specialize in ice techniques often explore the principles of stillness, patience, and inner calm to develop their abilities.

They oftentimes even go as far as freezing their emotions... {A/N: Sick. I tell you.}

They seek to understand the delicate balance between the freezing cold and the calm serenity within themselves.

They may use specialized techniques to freeze opponents, manipulate the temperature of their surroundings, or create powerful ice barriers for defense.

Ultimately, ice represents more than just a physical manifestation of coldness. It embodies the philosophical and spiritual concepts of yin, balance, and tranquility, providing users with a unique path to strength, wisdom, and enlightenment.

"That's my understanding of the Element. Do with this whatever you please." Shun said after sharing a watered down version of his concepts of Ice.

"I see... You really are something." Yusano said in awe. She never really could fathom what level of understanding her little brother must have to be able to say all this casually.

Although she was already accustomed to creating weapons, barriers, walls, and armor with her Ice, those were all physical. Listening to Shun just made her feel like there was more to it than meets the eyes.

Maybe that's why he was a genius. He really did think differently than most.

...

Shun POV.

Kusa-gakure no Sato. One of the many smaller countries bordering the Land Of Fire and Land Of Earth at the same time. The country is rich with forests, some consisting of giant mushrooms or bamboo. It also seems to have many rivers and deep ravines.

It was part of the reason it was invaded by Iwagakure during the Third Shinobi war. However, with their good diplomatic skills, they were able to come to an alliance with Konoha-gakure, who helped them fend off the Earth invaders.

One of the many things I had come to realize even before I became a creator level being was that... The Concept of Good and Bad, depended on who was taking that action.

If you were weak, most, if not all of your actions that hurt others will be deemed bad, conversely, if you were strong, most if not all of your actions will be praised despite the amount of people you hurt.

That was an inevitability. No matter the world, situation of circumstance, it was a constant.

However, the fact that you think something is good doesn't make it good, the opposite also holds true.

Here we were, watching as the shriveled body of what was once an elegant and beautiful woman being sucked dry by men who were following due process.... Mostly. I could feel most of them being euphoric as they saw the pain in the woman's eyes.

Those were the type of people I would kill and sleep well at night if I even deemed them worthy of remembering.

However, others were just doing it to get better. They had just returned from a mission and were all injured, so a quick fix was in order.

They were all wrong in my book though. Whatever injury they may have procured, it wasn't something a couple days wouldn't heal.

They just had to look for the easy way out. These guys would never have that skill... What was it again? Ah [Pain Resistance].

"She's pitiful." Yusano said as she seethed in anger at the sight she was witnessing.

"Tis but a small price to pay for her daughter." I said as I looked at the little cute girl watching her mother with worried eyes.

She was roughly the same age as Naruto. Probably older, with a head full of red hair.

"Is this your reason for coming here?" Yusano asked. "Do you feel pity for them or something? Need I remind you-"

"Yeah, I know. War and all that bullshit.-'' I interrupted. "But you know, that woman may have been Kushina-nee-sama's childhood friend. That little girl there may have also been Naruto's Nee-san.."

I knew she was feeling sad about all this but duty had her bound to reason. As a Gold Ranker, her actions, no matter how small, came with consequences.

"I'll take care of this matter. Don't worry." I told her and disappeared from her sight. I didn't want her disturbing me going forward.

...

That night, Kusa-gakure experienced a series of unexplained murders. I didn't do this out of childishness... No, far from that. Those guys needed to die for Karin to grow without facing the same torture her mother was going through right now.

As for how I know..?

Secret.

That night, I couldn't help but remember how many people of this generation were also going through something similar. Kimimaro, Haku, Yota (The Weather Guy), and Jugo.

Even the sound four. Damn, perhaps I should really go around gathering an elite Squad or something before Orochimaru picks them all up.

Not to mention the Massacre that will soon ensue in Kirigakure, followed by the civil war.

Damn... Looks like I'm getting soft.

Whatever. Let them kill themselves. The least I can do is give them a relatively happy next life.
