"Hup!" Uriel groaned as she lifted Jay up with his hand over her neck. She had long gotten over her temporary shock and had quickly bandaged Jay's amputated leg. Now they just had to leave the building to get some proper treatment for Jay.
"Man, that hurt…." Jay moaned in pain, limping together with Uriel. "Isn't there something you can do about it?"
Hearing Jay, Uriel looked down at their left hand. It was the goblet they went through so much trouble to acquire.
"Here, drink this," Uriel said, handing the goblet to Jay.
"Wha?" Jay looked at Uriel in confusion.
"The whole reason why we risked getting this goblet was for you to drink it!" Uriel spoke. "What? You thought I was going to use it for personal use?!"
"To be honest, yes, I did." Jay weakly laughed, avoiding a bit of eye contact with Uriel.
"I'm not that kind of woman; it was for you, so drink it." Uriel kept pushing the cup toward Jay's mouth. "It's going to help you with your training and also your leg right now."
Jay couldn't help but gulp as he grabbed ahold of the golden goblet. They had just risked so much to get this, but now he was drinking it as if it was some sort of wine.
'Let's not think too much of it!' Jay thought as he poured the contents of the cup down his throat.
A spicy and hot feeling came along as the water washed down his throat and into his stomach. He immediately started feeling the effects of this holy water. Firstly Jay's amputated leg was completely restored in an instant, along with all his stamina.
"This holy water gives its drinker effects close to immortality," Uriel spoke somewhat proudly.
Without saying anything, Jay shifted his gaze to Uriel in disbelief.
"Well, I can't have my master dying early on…." Uriel coughed and turned his face away from Jay, but nevertheless Jay was able to see her ears steaming.
'Pfft! How… cute?' Jay laughed to himself.
But Uriel had a comply different reaction to her cutesy act. 'Arghh! What in the heavens was that?! I-it had to be the effects of that b-bond thingy!' Uriel screams internally, though, on the outside, she was doing a good job of keeping a straight face.
[The goblet of the white spring water had been consumed.]
[New passive skill acquired.]
[The touch of immortality: A skill almost reaching the level of true immortality, but not quite. With this skill, your healing factor will be enhanced by several times, as immunity against all poisons and complete resistance against all temperatures. Though this does not mean you cannot die.]
"The effects are great, right?" Uriel asked, examining Jay's reactions.
"It's great…." Jay simply replied as he didn't know how to respond. "Are the effects supposed to be this good?"
"Of course it is!" Uriel exclaimed. "I started making this elixir many years ago, but it looked like it had been found out by the almighty one."
"I see…"
"At least pretend to be surprised and happy… you received such an amazing skill, but you didn't react at all…." Uriel sighed as she shook her head in disappointment. She was really hoping to get a big reaction out of Jay.
"Well, I can't get surprised right now. It definitely looks like it's really good, but I wont really know until I see the effet-"
Just before Jay could finish his sentence, a weird wiggling feeling came from his left foot. The foot that should have been gone was now there as if nothing had happened to it.
"Surprised now?" Uriel giggled. "You should now be able to heal any injury in less than a second."
"Wow…" Jay opened his mouth in awe but then looked back at Uriel. "But why didn't you give me in the first place? The first thing you could have done was to pour this liquid into my mouth. It could have saved me some pain, you know."
"Because I couldn't!" Uriel loudly retorted. "You think that wasn't my first thought?!"
"Well, truthfully speaking, no." Jay blatantly stated.
"Don't blame me! It's because your bond thingy didn't let me put the spring water into your mouth." Uriel explained. "Whenever I tried, that damn insignia on my stomach would glow, and I wouldn't be able to move."
'Hmmm… did it consider the spring water as some sort of poison?' Jay thought to himself, as it seemed like a plausible explanation.
"Seriously, what did you do to create such a bond!" Uriel asked. "I've been alive for millions of years, but I never heard of this!"
"Well, I guess I'm just lucky…." Jay mumbled to himself and shook his head.
Even though Jay had tried to end the conversation, Uriel continued on. "Now, with this, I can raise the intensity of your training without killing you," Uriel mumbled, a creepy grin forming at the edge of her mouth.
Jay stared at Uriel's weird expression while raising his eyebrow. He felt weird seeing such a pervy expression on her face, though they had both returned back to the entrance of the temple.
"Hap!" Jay let out a deep breath, then began pushing against the giant stone doors.
