What Was The Reason?

"I'll go home first. If I have time, I will return to visit here," said Aaron to a friend thirty minutes ago. And now, he is on his way home.

The road is tranquil and deserted because the time shows three o'clock in the morning, making him feel comfortable driving at high speed, hoping he can get home soon and rest. After all, he had to rush to the office before eight o'clock in the morning to preside over a weekly meeting with various division heads.

His family's house is in an elite residential complex. There are about fifty mansions built in the region. Each home usually has three to four floors. So, the houses in the complex deserve to be called palaces rather than houses. Also, most people in this elite complex were influential officials in this city or wealthy business people like himself.

Aaron turned on the radio broadcasting classical music with jazz to eliminate the sense of being bored when driving.

Sometimes he yawns because he's too sleepy. As a solution, he immediately ate the remaining three ginger candies in his pocket.

His brown eyes narrowed as he turned the corner towards his home. For some reason, he turned off the lights and drove slowly.

Something made him act like that. In the end, the car stopped from a safe distance, thirty meters from the gate of his house.

"Who is this person who stands so early in the morning in front of my house?" Aaron muttered in astonishment. He rubbed his eyes, perhaps incorrectly seeing the silhouette of the car and the person.

That person was leaning on the car with arms crossed in front of their chest and looked straight at Aaron's family home.

And by now, Aaron wasn't sure if that person was a guy or a woman because he couldn't see it. Moreover, he had severe farsightedness. Glasses don't help at times like this. He could ensure that the person was standing directly opposite the gate of his house, not another's house.

"Is there a guard at the gate? How long has that person been standing there?"

Surrounded by an increasingly inevitable curiosity, he immediately turned off his car engine, got out of the iron vehicle, and walked vigilantly toward the mysterious person. Suddenly, the night wind passed his body, giving him many goosebumps.

There are no lights on the side of the road. They will only turn on automatically as soon as a vehicle passes. And since Aaron is currently on foot, the automatic light sensor doesn't apply to him. Therefore, it made him easier to approach the person in the dark.

Step by step, he tracked while trying to minimize the sound produced by his shoes in contact with the asphalt road and small gravel fragments.

Over time, that person's silhouette became more and more visible in his eyes. Unlike his assumption that the shape came from a man, it turned out from a woman!

Aaron corrected his glasses and narrowed his eyes to see more clearly.

And the scene he captured afterward was that the woman was wearing a black jacket and orange pajama pants. She stared intently at his house, unaware of anyone else approaching her.

The woman's body didn't move a cent. She was neither a ghost nor a robber. The woman slightly raised her chin to give the impression of arrogance, and suddenly he felt familiar with the silhouette of the woman from the side.

The sharp nose and brown-haired suddenly reminded him of someone.

"Celine, is that you?" Aaron wasn't so sure about it. He managed to cut a distance to stand five meters from her.

The woman suddenly turned her head after hearing some voice beside her. After that, she rushes to open the car door and get into it, avoiding Aaron, who was walking quickly towards her. She seemed to want to escape.

SLAM!

The door closed after Aaron got there. If he hadn't pulled his finger to hold the car door in time, maybe now his finger bone could have crumbled.

"Hey! Celine! Wait! I knew it was you! Get out right now!" prevent Aaron from trying to open the car door with a rough movement.

Aaron knows that this behavior can scare Celine. In other words, he was no different from his elder brother.

But also, he doesn't want to miss the golden opportunity that came!

Celine, at this time, appeared in his 'territory' unexpectedly. How could Aaron let Celine go so quickly?

"Hey! Get out for a minute! Celine Evergreen, open the door!" Aaron screamed as Celine's car began to move

Knock!

Knock!

Knock!

Aaron tapped Celine's windshield constantly, hoping that she would open the windshield for him.

"Celine, I know you can hear me! Stop and get out right now!"

Aaron dashed forward, blocking Celine's driveway while spreading his arms wide on both sides, not letting her go quickly.

The silver car cleverly avoided Aaron by retreating as quickly as possible. When Celine got enough space, she swerved in the opposite direction to turn the car in the other order, towards the direction of Aaron's parked vehicle.

Aaron ran. But the car drove faster, and his footsteps could no longer keep up. With a chaotic heart, he watched Celine's car leave without being able to do anything.

The gusts of the night breeze bore witness to the millions of questions that began to appear in his head.

And now, there is one question after shrunk out of millions of them. The question that Aaron thinks is very complex than the other questions.

"What is she doing here? There's no way she'd come here for no reason, right?"

When Celine's car completely disappeared, Aaron sighed and walked toward his car.

Tap ...

Tap ...

Tap ...

Aaron walked to the door of his house after he parked his car in the parking lot. He didn't know where he got the whisper from, but suddenly his footsteps stopped. His head looked up and saw a fleeting shadow there.

"Brother?" he muttered, not so sure. "How long has he been standing there? Could he have known that Celine was here all along?"
