10 Minutes Too Long

I was fragile. . .I assume on the way down I was close to knocking myself out. My head was knocking, and I felt dizzy and as if I was going to throw up. Could I have a concussion? It was only two flights of stairs, the thought made me laugh.

Why I'm not sure, "Lia are you okay?!" I heard the echo of Julie's voice. "Mh- mhm I think so for the most part."

"And the guy you jumped on? Where is he?"

"UH-" I crawled over and poked him. "Did I just kill-" I rushed to feel his pulse "phew" it was pulsing and he was breathing. Slow and calmy as if he was just taking a nap. "He's knocked out, what about your guy?"

"Well, you won't believe this but I tried the karate chopping move that we watch in movies on him, and because of werewolf strength it worked." We both started dying of laughter.

"Julie you are something else. But honestly, I can't come to you, can you come to me?" She used her supernatural speed and stood in front of me in two seconds. "What's wrong?"

"My head, I think I gave myself a concussion," I said with a face of the indescribable pain tickling my head. "Talking makes the pain worse."

"It's okay let's get back to our mates," Julie said while helping me up.

Lee's POV :9

"It's been 15 damn minutes," I was pacing for sure, did something happen to the girls? How would I tell Micheal? "Oh damn. . ." I saw Micheal sit up on the edge of the bed. "Bro, what's going on?" he said while rubbing his eyes.

"And where is my girl?" I looked around frustrated, "with Lia."

He got up, "why you actin' so weird dude?"

"Lia asked to go get some towels from the front desk, so I allowed her but only if Julie went. So, they went together. I gave them 10 minutes and has almost been 20. I'm pissed. I didn't want to leave you alone because I knew you would be confused if no one was here. But now that your awake we need to go find them before I lose my marbles."

Micheal said nothing his eyes turned black and I knew what was on his mind. If anything crazy happened we would be reported, and the Alpha and Luna of both tribes would lock us up. "Listen I'm upset too but we have to be logical about this situation, cool, calm, and collective until we know something is wrong."

"Alright bro just come on."

We sprinted out the door and searched the whole place in about 10 minutes. "Still nothing?" I asked Micheal. We both hit something out of anger and caused eyes to look toward our way. There was a guy coming from the stairs, he seemed to be pretty beat up and bruised. "Are you good bruh?"

He gave no response, and I was just going to ignore him. Until I saw 2 phone cases drop from his pocket. And the problem was they weren't just any phone cases. But Lia and Julie's. I snatched him up and held him against the wall. "WHERE ARE THEY?"

He laughed at my questioning, "And which one's exactly, we have so many it's kinda hard to keep count." I punched him in the face and couldn't control myself after the first. All I could think about was the girls being in danger. "Since everything seems to be a joke to you!"

I held him over the railing, "last chance." Micheal tapped me, "your eyes are pitch grey, you've got to calm down." I heard multiple footsteps coming from both directions. I tied the guy onto the railing and got ready to fight whatever showed its face.

I looked at Micheal and knew he was ready just as I was. There had to of been 30 men only on this floor. Who knew if there were others, "ready broski?"

"I've been waiting on something this action-packed for a while." I transformed into a wolf and Micheal soon followed. We clawed at multiple, not caring if we were injured or even killed.

All were knocked out in 5 minutes, we transformed back into human form and ran to the room. "Let's hurry, if those guys are still here the girls can't be too far gone."

"Got it." We were on our way out of the room before we heard a knock. Both of us ran to the door hoping it was the girls but unfortunately it was much worse. "What in the hell are you two doing here?"

A while back, sometime last summer these girls we ran into at school were huge flirts. They would follow us around and everything. It was odd strange and weird. So, we told them to leave us alone at some point but they obviously didn't get the hint.

Micheal and I were so confused. "What do you want Vanessa?"

"Well. . ." She said while walking closer to me.

"I'm sure you know what I want."

I pushed her off of me. "How dare she put her crusty hands on my shirt bruh." I looked at Micheal and burst out laughing.

She screamed, "CRUSTY!" which honestly made us laugh even harder.

Rahi mind-linked me. "Stop playing around, it would make sense on why she's here. She has-"

He was cut off because of what Vanessa had shown me. "If you don't give me what I want, I'll have to kill what you love most dearly."

She and Brit showed a live video of Lee and Julie in a van moving around. Lia seemed hurt and I snapped, I grabbed Vanessa by the neck and threatened her. And Micheal snatched the phone and smashed it on the ground.

"I would never cheat on Lia, stop playing these games and tell me where they are." I gripped her throat a little harder, "mmh" she only moaned and I threw her out of disgust. "If you would just LOVE ME YOU WOULD KNOW I LIKE THAT!"

"You're a damn psycho, if you won't tell me where they are I'll do things my way." She tried transforming into her wolf but I knocked her out of it. "Don't hurt yourself trying. I only love Lia."

Micheal and I walked passed them and all I could hear as I got further away were screams and crying. "She's crazy bro, what part of mate does she not understand?" he sighed in frustration. "You saw the video, if they have Julie and Lia how are we supposed to find them?"

I smirked, "Well, she made one mistake. A while back before I knew the intentions she had sent me the address to this cabin in a rural area. It's weird cuz it's not even on any maps."

"So what you assume they've been taken there?"

"I mean I'm pretty sure but we'll only know for sure by checking it out."

"Alright let's go bro"

We packed up everything and returned the key card to the room. The run was so quiet that I could hear my own whimpers while thinking of Lia. "I knew we shouldn't have let her go in the first place," Rahi said. I didn't respond, I wasn't in the mood for him right now. "Just run and shut up Rahi, I want to find her too but going at each other won't help anything.

Micheal's POV :1

I wasn't upset with Lee, I knew he was just trying to give the girls some freedom. And it's not like he knew this would happen but I was just sad. I had finally found my mate, but honestly, I've had a crush on Julie for the longest. I've just never said anything.

And everything happened so fast that we haven't had time for each other. Which makes this all so much worse. I heard Lee whimpering and I replied with a howl. Hoping he would stop being so sad. We've always had rough patches but he's my best friend and seeing all he's willing to go through with me confirms that.

I never wanted his girl and I hope he knows that. I would only mess with Lia because I knew Julie would tell me to stop bothering her. I wondered why they never spoke to each other. And even now I'm curious to know. I guess I'll have to leave that question for another time because we had just arrived at the cabin. . .
