Blood feast 2

Finn looked like he was in a reverie just when he tasted the blood of the female kid vampire who had been torn up.

His expression had changed from a wild state to an even wilder one. His mouth opened and it looked like it was becoming watery in an anticipation of a meal.

No one noticed this as there were just too many of them around the corner. Moreover, even if they saw the little girl who had been wounded, they wouldn't have done anything.

On top of a vampire's impressive catalogue of skills and natural abilities like strength, speed and overall good senses, they were also capable of healing quite quickly.

Depending on how strong and old they were, they were able to heal twice as fast. So a cut to the neck as far as it hadn't decapitated the girl was nothing to worry about.

More so, there was now another human brought up to the stage for slaughter. And while it should not matter how they got their food, some of them weren't so happy with the design of the event.

A lot of them preferred to hunt their prey [humans] and kill them by themselves. This way, they believed they honed their natural predatory skills and were overall being what they truly were.

Others were fine with either one of the options. The change in leadership had brought about a lot of both welcomed and changes that were not entirely welcomed. But going by the rule, nothing besides complete compliance with the king's order was thought of. Loyalty was something the vampires valued to the core.

But being fed from the large basin the size of the stage just didn't cut it for a lot of them. But with the new king's regime, a rule had been placed and their access to the prison where humans were kept had been caught off.

Behind the stage was a large heavy door made of a strong metal that even with their superior strength to that of a human could not break. What was behind this practically impenetrable door were humans, thousands of them in a large camp kept guard by strong vampires kept at every post.

Much like the nest that was conical in shape, this human camp was the same in terms of structure.

The camp was the breeding place of humans by the vampires. Here humans were kept, fed and made to proliferate to keep the cycle going and at the end of it all, they were lined up and massacred for food by the vampires.

The humans being brought out to be killed were the old and the sick. The young vibrant ones were kept for the sole purpose of multiplying. This entire scheme had long existed and not just started with the current king.

The camp boasted of thousands of humans which included the old and young, male and female, vibrant and diseased, etc.

The camp was structured in such a way that each horizontal line across the cave wall housed about 200 humans living in a cave wall similar to the ones the vampires lived in.

Under the old king's rule, vampires were allowed into the prison behind the reinforced, impenetrable door and allowed to pick a prey. The prey of course was given a chance to fight for their lives. But it all mostly ended the same way. Their demise was a constant reminder to those that remained that sooner or later, they would wound up in the same situation where they would have to fight for their lives.

Some of the structures on the outside of the vampire nest were built by humans who were forced to do manual labour. But there were some significant landmark designs that were not human-made.

The large talk statue just by the stage area that looked like a man was definitely not carved by humans. It was black and extremely large in size and would have taken multiple years to get it done. Sure, vampires had that time on their side but in the case of humans, dying shortly was part of the whole package that came with being them. They simply didn't have the long life span of a human.

Although several factors were responsible for this. Some of which included the mistreatment they suffered at the hands of the vampires.

Rebellion was also far off from the list of things they could do. They would simply be silenced immediately with a slight sign of it.

The King on the stage held another human by the neck. A much healthier looking one than the previous man. He took a couple of glances at her torn clothes which exposed vital body parts at the upper half of her body. She appeared to have already suffered quite the beating in the hands of the vampires as some of her teeth were missing and deep claw marks were embedded in her stomach region.

"Please..please.. "the woman managed to plead all while squirming in the strong hands of the vampire ruler.

Escaping his grip was just as impossible as breathing for her was becoming because every second that went by, his grip around her neck tightened. At the rate at which his vise-like grip held on to her, she knew it was only a matter of time before her neck was broken in half from the sheer strength.

She was already tired of struggling. Looking at the one who held her by the neck, she knew there was no ounce of remorse or pity on his part as she looked into his red glowing eyes. At that moment she discerned that she wasn't just caught up in the hands of a supernatural or a greater being than herself, she knew what she was dealing with then was not different from the beasts that roamed the external part of the nest. She had given up there awaiting her head to be detached from her body as she closed her eyes and gave in to the situation.

But just then a loud cry was heard and all attention moved to a central spot. The kids that were caught in a daze had snapped out of it as they had a look of both fear and disgust on their faces.

Finn pounced on the girl that had a tear on her neck very quickly and with one quick swipe of his sharp claw, he had completely decapitated her. He dug his hand straight into her neck and as he withdrew, he licked the blood stained on it. That act alone caused his golden-slitted eye to glow fiercely, almost like a response to the act he had done.

Now his body shuddered almost as if a cold had come upon him. He shoved more fingers into different parts of the girl's body and it was met with no resistance as his claw paved the way in. He did this spontaneously in a beast-like manner as if he had been starved for days.

Finn at that moment was in an utter state of blood lust and he had the whole vampire nest as his audience.

But it didn't stop there as he dug his entire face into her neck and what had never been seen before was witnessed by them all that watched on.

"A vampire feeding on another?"...
