"Well, if I know Caroline even a little bit." Hayley turned towards him, "Klaus Mikaelson will be back with his memory shortly…and he will kill us all!"
Elijah's face was grave. She was right. Caroline would do anything to reunite a family.
Even if it meant breaking one.
Elijah Mikaelson had spent 9 years playing father to a child which was never his. He had never felt guilty for it. But now...now the guilt came and it piled up.
Caroline Forbes came out of the Mikaelson compound angry. She didn't know what to do. Klaus Mikaelson followed her. He saw the girl standing on the terrace. He waved before leaving.
Davina Claire came into the room.
"So, let's get this over with!" She said tiredly. "A spell."
She told Klaus to stand in the circle she made with salt.
"And everything will be okay." She told Caroline.
She started the spell.
"Phesmatos…"
She stopped.
"What happened?" Caroline asked, worriedly.
"I can't." She stopped. "I can't….do it."
"Why not?" Caroline asked.
"I see someone." She told her, "Someone more powerful!"
"Does it matter?" Caroline asked, "There must be many witches who are more powerful than you."
"No…" Davina stopped her. "She's interfering with the spell."
"Why?" She asked. Worriedly.
"I don't know.." Davina told her. "She's this blonde woman…."
"Thousands of blonde women in the city! Davina!" She groaned. "Do you see anything in the surrounding area?"
"Her face structure is like his." Davina pointed towards Klaus. "The cut."
"Freya Mikaelson." Caroline sighed. "I get it."
"Mikaelson?" Klaus turned towards her.
"The eldest Mikaelson." Caroline explained. "Where is she? Something distinct?"
She asked Davina.
"Yeah…something." Davina said, "She's with someone else. And, somewhere outside the city. And Rousseau's is just visible up the hill."
She nodded.
"I got it." Caroline said. "Come on, Klaus."
She told him.
"Where?" He asked. "Where?"
"To find Freya Mikaelson." She told him. "If she is in trouble…I'm sure she'll need you."
He nodded.
Caroline and Klaus rushed out of the room and zoomed down the stairs. Davina Claire walked behind them,
"Vampires." She shook her head.
Klaus Mikaelson ran towards the end of the bar and Caroline followed.
"Is that her?" Klaus spotted a blonde girl standing in front of a dark-haired older woman.in front of her.
Caroline recognized Freya Mikaelson who was on her knees. She was in pain. The face...Her eyes…Caroline felt sorry for her.
"We have to go to her!"
"I do. You don't." Klaus stopped her.
"What?"
"You don't know what's going down there!"
"Niether do you!" Caroline told her.
They both could hear her deafening screams.
"Wait for me, Caroline."
"But…"
"Promise me, Caroline." He told her. "You will not come down there!"
"WHY?
"Because, apparently the world doesn't care if I am gone!" He almost shouted. "But if you do and I am the cause of it.…..no one would forgive me. Ever."
She stood there. In surprise. In shock.
"Now, please….stay here."
She nodded.
"Okay, okay…" She nodded. "I will not come down there."
"Thank you."
Caroline Forbes saw Klaus zoomed down the hill.
"Klaus?" Freya Mikaelson took a deep breath as she wiped off the blood from her nose. "What are you doing here?"
"I…" She looked at him.
That face….Klaus knew that face.
"Dahlia?" Klaus said.
"You remember?" Dahlia was a little shocked.
"You did this to me!" He shouted.
"Don't shout at me, boy!" She raised a hand and he felt a splitting headache.
He fell down on his knees.
"There he is!" Freya straightened herself up. "You kept for almost a decade! An immortal!!"
She started to run.
"You don't need me anymore!" She shouted.
Caroline watched. She was frozen in her place. What was happening? Why wasn't Freya helping him? They were family! He was her brother.
Freya Mikaelson came up the hill running away from her aunt.
"Caroline?" She squinted. "What are you doing here?"
Caroline could never explain why she did what she did next. She slapped Freya Mikaelson as hard as she could across the face. She was so angry that she had summoned all the power she had. Freya fell down on the floor of Rousseau's. She watched Caroline Forbes walk away from her as she wiped the blood off her face.
