Chapter 12

Chapter 12,

Hangouts

Koshiro's POV

It's been 6 days already and we still didn't came back to the world of Rank of Knights. Our discussions became more fun and Hiruki seems to talk a lot and he also gotten closer with the other club members inside and outside the club. I think the also has friends who's not part of our Gamer's Club. Right now, I'm here with Gin in front of a mall waiting for the other club members to attend. It's not a club activity but just a normal hangout with friends.

"We're here," Kenji waved at us after opening the door of the Van. He was with Fudo, Maria, Mana, and Goro.

"Where's Hiruki?" Gin asks.

"He said that he promised to someone to go with them so he has to turn down our invitation." Hearing Goro say that makes me feet disappointed. I really want us here complete.

"Let's go!" Mana exclaimed excited.

"Where should we go first?" Fudo questions.

"Why not play games?" Gin grins.

"Claw machine," Maria giggles.

"Well then, off we go," Goro pats my back.

As the game freak, I have to make sure my gaming techniques are always utilized so that I could stick with that title. Of course I'm the game freak and my friends are gamers, it means we'll spend our time and money gaming all day long. Every game was visited and none was left not to be played. Kenji bought many tokens and it ended up mostly on the claw machine. It was difficult, indeed. But, I wouldn't struggle just for this easy game. No toy that I grabbed with the claw escape my hands. I'm not just good with virtual games but also games in real life, you know. I'm proud of it. This would've been more fun if only Hiruki was with us right now.

Hiruki's POV

Right now, I'm with my friends wandering around our big city enjoying our lives to its fullest. I'm with Rika, she's shy towards others especially boys but quite talkative when it gets to us. Romi, a bright boy. Filled with wonder, energy and lots of fun. Lastly, Tyrol, a kid who sticks to his character; the low-key guy, smart, calm, and excels at anything. The group's personality doesn't match up but that's what makes it more fun. Rika will be the one stopping the fights if we get in trouble for she's a girl. She hate fights and wants people around her to get along. Romi will be lighting up the group if the mood became gloomy and if everyone is sad, Tyrol will be giving wise comments and chooses for us and I will be the one to choose vehicles, places to go and the one helping with negotiating with sellers who sell items at a high prize. I have to threaten them if possible. Well, threatening not like I would say that I'll be killing this guy and that if they don't lower the prize. I'm no criminal. I leaned how to negotiate because of Kent. He taught me useful tricks about selling stuffs too. That's expected from a son of a man who became rich after starting from scratch.

"Where to next?" Romi said exited. His mood's like Kenji's but Kenji's a little to aggressive.

"Uhm, how about arcade?" Rika asked shyly.

"I agree, that would be fun," Tyrol agreed sticking to his character.

As we walk, we passed by a mall a I saw familiar faces come out from there. Koshiro and the other club members. I didn't knew they would be coming here. I rejected their offer so I don't think I should go and greet them. They look so happy. I don't want to ruin their mood specially when they saw me with some other people having fun.

"Sorry, I'll go and pick up the call, wait for us," Mana arrogantly ordered making my gaze turn to them as Mana walks with Maria to pick up the call.

"Sure take your time," Goro smiles waving at them.

"Hiruki? Uhm, is something wrong? They're gonna leave us two behind," Rika asked worriedly slightly pulling the grey jacket I'm wearing.

"Oh, nothing. I just spaced out," I smiled forcedly but it might not seemed forced.

"Oh, since we're here, why not buy some manga, guys?" Romi waves at us telling us to come.

"Hiruki how about you?" Tyrol asks.

"I'll be going, then," I smiled. I have a comic I also want to buy anyway.

"You guys want to come? I'll go buying some manga since it's been a while." I heard a familiar voice. It's Koshiro, indeed.

"We're fine, just go and pick we'll be waiting here," Goro waves him goodbye and Koshiro does the same.

"Oh, Hiruki, you also read that manga?" Romi asked surprised.

"Well, kind of," I chuckled.

"That makes us four in one, isn't it?" Rika smiled and said it happily but calm.

"Fancy seeing you here, Hiruki," everyone including me diverted our gazes to Koshiro who is smiling at the back while his hand is on my shoulder.

"Isn't that Koshiro? The game freak?" Rika asked shaking and made me, Koshiro and Romi surprised.

"Yes, he is. Is something wrong with him?" Romi's brows furrowed baffled by her reaction.

"Isn't he the guy rumoured to beat up the teachers before us first-years came?" Tyrol's eyes widened and it was followed by Koshiro's.

Koshiro laughed really hard while his hand on his stomach, "I was what?!"

The two was shocked especially when Romi and I also laughed.

"This guy would? I don't think he'd ever try something outrageous like that! He can't even dare lay a finger on someone weaker than him," Romi said then laughed again.

"It's true that he's the game freak but he's nice. He don't beat up people like that," I chuckled.

"Anyway, you liked this book,'Rise of the Undead' didn't you? I'll buy this for you as a sorry for not joining you and the others,"i smiled at him and patted his head.

"Stop! Stop!" Koshiro grabbed my hand.

"Why?" I curiously asked.

"It annoys me, let me stroke yours first before you stroke mine," Koshiro's face was blushing.

"It's not a good way to put your words. You're making the first-years look disgusted." I took my hand back from him blushing.

"Sorry, I didn't mean anything weird about it. I'll try to be cautious next time," I face-palmed.

"Never mind that. No big deal," I sighed very heavily.

After picking the manga we're buying, we got out to say our goodbyes to Koshiro but he suddenly stopped, "Oh, which reminds me, will you be sleeping with me tonight?" he said making all of us shocked especially me.

"I thought you would be careful from now?!" I asked him with my face burning red.

"Sorry. I only said I'll try, didn't I. Since we'll be going there, we might just sleep together. We have might something to discuss on after we come back. And, I also asked Kian to get me some bedsheets." his face became serious as mine did.

"I see. Then I'll be sleeping with you. Shouldn't you get another bed for visitors? It's quite embarrassing to sleep beside you," I scratched the back of my head.

"Well then, take care," he waved at us and so we did.

"Don't worry, we support you and Koshiro. Not a single thing to worry about," Romi's smiled patting my shoulders.

"You're wrong! We don't have that kind of relationship. We're just plain friends," I said calmly stroking my hair.

"I never said anything about relationship and stuff going on you two," Romi grinned.

"Don't tease him too much!" Rika stops Romi preventing us from fights. I'm not the type to fight though, so I won't.

"So, where's the date going to be held?" Tyrol asked while playing on his Nintendo Switch.

"It's not a date. Also, two more person is coming with us," I toned disappointed.

"So it's a double date?" Romi grins.

"You two should stop it!" Rika got angry for her words was completely ignored.

"Fine, fine, princess," Romi patted Rika's head as we continue to walk.

Koshiro and I have to sleep together at the same roof for a while because we still do know when we will be coming back to the Rank of Knights.

Koshiro's POV

"Is the food delicious?" Goro asked me smiling brightly.

"Oh, yeah. Very," I smiled back making him more happy.

"You two seemed more close since 'that day'. Goro is more attached to Koshiro," Mana looked Disgusted.

Days like this won't continue forever. A end has to come to this. We'll be coming back to that place, the world where magic exist, Rank of Knights. I have to became powerful. Who knows what awaits me there. It's either doom that will lead me to my death or is it a peaceful life that anyone would prefer. This world is the total opposite of that one. I need to survive there. There's no point in hiding.
