Chapter 13

Chapter 13,

Memories

Koshiro's POV

"Sorry, I'm a bit late. It's already seven." Hiruki apologizes.

"Don't bother it. I was cooking anyway," I forced a smile.

Currently, right now, Hiruki is sleeping with me again. Well, not actually beside me again. I got too bored waiting for him as if I was itching to see him. To pass my time, I couldn't help but cook too much dishes. This food that filled the entire table is the proof that I'm impatiently waiting for him. I got used to have people around me.

"You totally cooked a feast," he said awkwardly while scratching the back of his head.

"Don't hold back, I cooked them just for you," I smiled being happy for what I did.

As he started eating, he suddenly stopped, "This is delicious. Koshiro, your cut out for a chef. You're gonna be a great boyfriend," he said making me blush.

"You think so," I said blushing as my redness became more and more red as time gradually passes. I can't believe myself that I would be taken by just a simple complement. I suddenly stopped, "is that a confession or something?" I added shocked.

"Huh?!" he suddenly spitted the food and coughed nonstop.

"Here, some water," I try to reach out my hand to him giving his some water.

"Thanks," he putted down the glass he's holding while his face is still red as crimson.

"Sorry," I sighed and he just smiled back.

"So, why do you have to sleep here?" Hiruki stares at me beside him in another futon looking baffled.

"I just want to sleep next to you. Nothing more, nothing less," I smiled at him.

"Oh well, let's just sleep, goodnight," he said blushing then covered himself from his head to toe.

"Koshiro! Haru, Koshiro's awake!" Miller calls out to Haru.

My memory was hazy since the fight with Fiosh and Derio that time. My head hurts a bit so I putted my hand in it. It felt like something important happened but I can't recall anything. Since I forgot about it, it's not probably important, right?

"Miller, Haru, is something wrong?" I asked not getting a single gist of what's happening.

"You've been sleep for a whole week. A girl who seemed like a doctor told us that you might have returned," Haru speaks in his calm and cool tone.

"Retuned?" I questioned.

"Knights are from other worlds. They can come back to their original world every once and a month for one week. The time when you're transferring can't be changed. It depends on a Knight's power. It's possible that witches and Wizards can do that but only some can. Mostly twins can do it. When you come back, you won't remember anything about anything about your world except for your first memory before coming here although you can't remember faces, words other people said or names. To prevent us from spilling the information to the people from other worlds, a spell is engraved in every Knight's soul. It's known as the 'Knights' Vow'." Kent explained as I saw him facing the window while his back laying on the bed's side hugging his knees.

"Is that so? What happened to Zandra?" My question made everyone fall silent.

"She's dead," Nikko said while his back is on the door his hands crossed.

"Sorry, I couldn't save her." my words made me realize how weak I am right now.

"Don't worry about it. It became C-Rank halfway after they realized that stronger enemy will be attacking her. You almost killed Fiosh if another wasn't there. The guild says that they'll be held responsible for sending rookies to that mission. The Guild Master fest ashamed." Miller pats my shoulder.

"One more thing, The prince is also unconscious. He fainted after a while when he visited you. He's at the other side of the room we're in." Haru added.

"Wanna check?" Miller smiles and I nodded. He was lying there awake smiling and fine so I sighed very heavily.

"You look fine. Did something good happened?" I smiled at him softly.

"Don't know. I just feel like something good happened. Maybe when I returned?" He chuckled faintly.

"Hmm. . .? What's this?" He said opening the note on his hand.

"Koshiro, Goro, sorry for the sudden call. Meet me at the closest bench below a tree right now. Never bring anyone and don't let them see you suspicious. Hiruki." Goro reads the note, loud and clear.

"Could it be a trap?" Haru asks.

"Don't feel like one." I shrugged.

"If you say so," Goro got up.

"But still, you cannot believe it so easily." Miller warns us.

"Don't worry, we won't be caught if it's ever a trap," Goro smiled then pulled me away after changing his clothes.

"So, isn't that. . ." Goro points at the tiger I'm carrying.

"Oh, I named him Saber. Cute isn't it?" I smiled being proud of my familiar.

"It resembles you," he smiled.

"Huh?" I questioned baffled.

"Nevermind. You should feed it along with you when you eat." he said worried.

"Huh? Why?" my look became more baffled.

"If familiars can't be fed, they consume their masters energy even if they don't intend to." he pinched my cheeks.

"Is that so? Okay. I'll bear that in mind," I smiled making him smile too.

He held my hand shocking me, "Uhm, Goro?" I asked awkwardly.

"We don't want being looked weird so this is a way," he smiled with some other intent in his eyes but I just can tell what it is.

"I think this is more weird-looking, right?" he sighed then loosened his grip and I pulled my hand away.

"This guy has something to say. He abandoned my orders just for a white cat? Maybe I could've killed him instead, right?" My statement made Saber and Goro shocked.

"That's too harsh. Shouldn't you be proud?" He awkwardly smiled and Saber purred like a cat and pushed his head back and forth on Goro's shoulder.

"I don't know about that. I already have Kao. Moreover, she's a fairy and fairly strong," I said as wonder covers me.

"Already have?" Goro whispers, "a girl?" he asked and I nodded shocking him.

An Archer are good elemental user for they're like an elf. Archers aside from elves are always Knights and those archers live where the elves inhabits. Archers and fairies are a good match so it probably shocked them.

"You came!" Hiruki brightly said. Before we realized, we were at the meeting spot where someone I don't know is waiting.

"Uhm, who are you?" I questioned him.

"Wait a sec. Recall." He chants.

After a while, memory came surging into me making me remember everything that happened including before we came here from the start up to before we came here.

"It's a great thing we slept together, right?" I smiled a Hiruki shocking Goro.

"What?!" Goro exclaimed from shock.

"We're decided to sleep together again thinking we might come back anytime in this place." Hiruki stated.

"Again?" Goro raised his eyebrow.

"Before everything was revealed last week, Hiruki slept with me," their conversation made me fall confused.

"You got shocked from that even though you tried holding his hand on the way here?" Hiruki made Goro speechless.

"Anyway, what skill is that?" I cut off the heavy atmosphere.

"Recall. It's used to recall one's memory in their past world. When I came here, it activates automatically." he sighed.

"You might have interesting skills. Mind if I look?" I smiled giving him no choice and he just nodded.

"Oh, those? That means they don't require leveling up," he said sounding unsure.

"You have many Charms, Spell and Techniques, don't you," Goro added.

"That's because I'm from the Neutral Land, the land where angels and devils, the gate to the Gods' Land where it endlessly rains." Hiruki stated.

"I've been wondering, what does the Memory transfer do? Show me!" I implored trying to hide the excitement within.

"I never tried it before. Want to try it?" Hiruki gave a smile.

"Is it okay to?" I asked worriedly.

"No need to worry," he chuckled.

"If you say so. . . ." I stated as I felt worried about what we are gonna do.

He touched my head and Goro's, "Memory Transfer," he chanted.

Memory came faster that It felt like my mind's gonna self-destruct. That memory I received. . .

"Should I have to choose a memory?" Hiruki speaking took me back to reality.

"I only received a time when you and Koshiro saw each other yesterday at the shop," Goro stated.

"I didn't received much memory, just when we met. Just a gist of it then it ended." I try to lie about what I saw.

"Maybe because you used your left hand on him. Maybe magic flows after there?" Goro wondered.

"That can't be true. I'm left-handed, you know?" Hiruki said shocking me.

What I saw that time was sad. It's about Koshiro's life before he met me. He was—

The place started rumbling, "The Capital's under attack! Call every Knights!" Someone shouts.

Goro came closer to the guy and Hiruki and I followed him, "Where's the enemy?!" He seed angry but his expression is cool as it used to be.

"Sir, it's just a guy. He's extremely powerful. He said his name was Quantom." the guy said his voice panicking.
