Chapter 26

Chapter 26,

Witches and Wizards: The Silent Battle

Third Person's POV

"I'll settle our ranking now, once and for all," Gin arrogantly said.

"I didn't know if we met before, but let's just fight," Mana said in a soft, but arrogant voice, shocking Gin.

The two's personality should be like usual: arrogant and scary as hell! But now, they're behaving like a kind kid who wants to win and nothing further.

"Well, whatever," Gin took a deep sigh to calm his nerves, "To ask, is it okay for these to to fight as a team?" Gin added.

The EMCEE answered, "By the rules, it is. Twins are considered as one in the Witch's Land. We will be tolerating such things since we respect the Witch's Land's rules."

"Well then, the second game starts," the girl announced.

Without any chants or hand gestures, fire appeared and attacked the twins, but it managed to be dispelled right on time. On the other hand, the twins muttered something so soft that it cant be heard by anyone and Gin stated to feel weak.

"What's that?!" Goro asked in a little panicked voice.

"Mana can use Harming and Defensive while Maria can use enhancing and enchanting spells. When Maria uses a type of harming spell that can cause someone to weaken, Maria will enhance it, making it give a stronger impact to the enemy. If this continues, he'll weaken that he might lose his consciousness," Athena said from the back.

"He won't lose, he's trained well enough than those two!" Koshiro smiled.

"What does that mean?" Hiruki asked.

"You know when I helped them raise up their levels, right? I also played using their Knight and taught them many Techniques, but Gin received more training than the twins, since he lives close to my house that I sleep there sometimes," Koshiro boasted.

"Sleep?!" Goro and Hiruki said with shock in unison catching Hela's attention.

"Yeah, he would be pestering me everyday if I didn't help him level up, so I think it's natural. I'm a bit embarrassed that I have to be the one to sleep in his bed instead of him," Koshiro laughed awkwardly while scratching the back of his head making the two sigh in relief.

'He might be sad that he's not sleeping in the same bed with Gin. But still, he might be refraining himself by just smelling the bed Gin sleeps onto,' Hela thought as she pictured the fascinating view on her dirty mind.

On the battlefield, Gin was shaking from the feeling of weakness. He knows that he's being drained into a hollow vessel if he doesn't do anything sooner. But before he could think, he saw an intermediate magical spell done constructed on front of him which is called 'Black Spear' which is a spear made out of Dark Magic that can eat up almost all of the remaining Mana and Magical Powers of the one it touches.

Before he could be hit in the chest, Koshiro's words ringed through his head saying: "If you cant dodge the attack, do the same magic to repel it or use another magic to deflect it."

With those words, he activated the same spell and the Dark Magic perished from he attack. Not giving the twins time, he used dispell on him, so that he could remove the spell that was casted on him, and launched fireballs from the sky, which is not even enough to defeat the twins.

Gin thought arrogantly, 'My title was long ago, didn't you think I've leaned a new book? I'm no Great Sorcerer for nothing, you know!'

Giving a grin to the two, a Magical Sphere appeared from everywhere of Gin as he floated with it. Magical Spheres is a string of words that's written on the air what spinning around, giving the caster an easier way to cast spells consecutively like four spells at the same time. The more circle their is, the more slots are there for spells to be written on.

Right now, Gin has four spiraling on him indicating that he could cast four in that sphere and one spell orally, making the number five.

Gin's appearance soon changed slowly, indicating that he's transforming into his battle form. He was not wearing anything like the other mages and magicians do. In fact, he's just wearing some formal clothes, but what made it cool is that the air that abruptly spins inside the sphere making his clothes rise up a little. Beside him was a book, which is The Great Book of Sorcery.

Appearing beside him, was a flameball, which is a stronger version of the fireball. Next to it was an appearance of other elemental magic which are water bomb, a water magic that explodes when in contact with something, Black Lightning, the strongest type of lightning, magma balls, which are made by earth and high-level fire magic and Dark Mistballs, a type of dark magic that can make the enemy lose their senses when they get close to its mists that it emits.

The four magic attacked the twins, but a big barrier was put out around them, and for that second, the EMCEE realized her 9urose there.

"Everyone, who do you think will win this silent battle of Sorcery? Are you excited? Let us hear you cheers!!!" The girl said in a high voice, despite having a microphone in her hand.

The voices of the spectators came to them like a loud bang one by one. The only thing that crossed the twin's mind is to take advantage of it.

They spoke the spell in thought, 'Blinding Sounds.'

With those words chanted inside, Gin felt like his body was shivering and weakening once more because of the sounds of the people cheering. He looked at the twin who was ready to launch an attack, and knew that it was their doing. No matter what he does, he can't escape their spells. He feels it inside him that he needs to figure out how they wield their magic without any signs of Mana traces, which are left when a Mana is used in any kind of Magic.

Gin whispered, not even enough for anyone to hear it, "Page 32, Spell 28, Healbirds' Opus."

After his chant, the sky became more brighter and songbirds came down from the sky while carrying a piece of trumpets in it's talons. The bird's songs are soothing in the ear and it healed the scratches on Gin's body and removed the spell covering the whole place.

"No matter what he does, it's impossible. He's to immature for high-level magic, or even intermediate," said Athena.

"Immature, was it?" Koshiro asked, making them divert their attention to him, "I don't think that's true," Koshiro smiled.

"You two are best friends, right? Shouldn't you see each other's flaws? You need to be honest to him even if you are talking with somebody about him," Athena's reply sounded a bit annoyed.

"That's the main reason. He's my friend that's why I know him better than any of you, am I wrong?" Koshiro now, has a scary smile, "I don't think this is trust, but. . . Is this instinct? That book over there, it contains all magical spells," what he added, gave more impact to his creepy and scary smile.

"I think that Koshiro's right about that. That book. . . It's the book that was the last to be created, if I'm not mistaken," Hiruki added.

Gin was now exhausted, but he still casted a Intermediate-level spell, which is Wind Scythe, a magic that can cut off any type of connection, except for the Threads of Fate. Mana casted a defensive barrier, but it was cut down and threw her to a small distance, injuring her left leg from the impact she received. Maria just tapped her knees and it healed in a flash. There's no end into this battle.

Gin, who couldn't take it anymore, screamed, "At least say something, will you?!" Everyone fell silent and just watched at his play, "Where the hell did that attitude of your went?! Don't tell me you wiped it off with a tissue before you came here?! Speak!" Gin was red, because of fume.

"Huh?! Shut the hell up!" The twins angrily said in unison, launching a high-level fire magic, Flare.

Gin just laughed hard from their expression, "Page 3,054, Spell 13, Summon: Devil of Anger," with those words, a black smoke formed an evil picture like a black ghost, and seemed to be absorbing something from Mana and Maria.

Not long, Gin added, "Page 2,680, Spell 3, Chains of Hell, Spell 19, Refrained Spell 8, Silence, Spell 27, Katana, Spell 32, Multiply."

Casting consecutive magic, Mana and Maria was restrained by chains in their feet to their body, tied by light magic on their hands, magic covered their mouths to prevent chanting, Katanas to point at them, just in case, and the last spell multiplied the one and only katana into many ones. By those spells, the two wasn't able to move anymore and can't do anything but let themselves lose.

"Winner: Gin!" The girl announced.

From afar, Athena was in deep shock, "H-How is that possible?!" Ireena just chuckled.

"Can't you see his Sphere can contain four spells and he could chant one? The high-level magic he used was great. I'll take him!" Ireena laughed.

"Well, it's settled, then!" Riven laughed.
