Chapter 27

Chapter 27,

Earth Battle

Third Person's POV

"For now, participants will be having a quick break. Next to the stadium is a small store that sells a lot of necessities, and is also recommended when you want to take a few rest before the next battle," the girl said, "We will call everyone once the break is finished, so don't stay too far from the stadium, or else, you'll be disqualified if you don't arrive on your battle right on time," she added.

Not long, Gin entered the room while carrying Mana and Maria on both of his sides, despite being weak right now from consecutive spells activation.

Gin said in a weak tone, "I made it. I'm tired," he said the last words in a fading tone, then fell on the floor.

"Hiruki," Koshiro called out to him, sighing in relief that Gin won the battle.

"Can't you do it yourself?" Riven asked.

"N-No, I can't use Healing Magic," Koshiro was embarrassed.

"Oh, my! This was unexpected, my friend? Healing Magic is a low-level magic!" Feiro's words sounded insulting to Koshiro.

"Huh?! I can believe Riven's student is this weak!" Athena added an insult.

"You, t-two, I think that's inappropriate," Hela defended Koshiro, leaving herself a good impression in him.

"Oh, that one was unexpected," Koshiro felt like he was bullied here.

By a sudden, everyone was shocked by Koshiro's rudeness, "Huh?! How dare you insult me? I can put up a fight, you know?!" The place fell silent.

"K-Koshiro? Koshiro is that you?" Hiruki was embarrassed by Koshiro's rudeness.

Slowly, Koshiro turned red, "I-I'm sorry. I'll tell him not to do that again," his eyes weren't looking at them, "Aeris! Shut it!" he whisper-shouted to himself.

"I wonder what that is. . ." Hela spoke first.

"Who knows? Even I don't," Riven calmly speaks, but inside him, he's deeply embarrassed, as Koshiro's master.

"All done!" Hiruki tried to brighten up the mood, "I'll go take some rest for a while. Why don't we get some food to eat. Time is ticking, we don't want to waste it don't we?" he added a smile.

*A store near the Stadium*

"What is this? A sorcery shop?" Koshiro's asked.

"Let's enter first," Athena insisted.

Entering the shop, it was empty in items or foods, but there's five doors there in total, and a girl in a counter is the only person there. She seemed to be a witch, but the youngsters felt her presence odd. There's a blue, red, green, yellow, and orange door in the sides of the walls.

"It's empty," said Goro.

"Of course, it is. This is called a magical dimension. Unlike a Magical Domain, this one's much more easier to make that even a mid-level user can make this," The twins arrogantly explained.

"Ah, a costumer!" The stood up from her chair, knocking down her chair with her clumsy attitude.

She has the monochromatic color of pink in her hair that's braided from her back to her left and right front. Her head has a witch's hat on it, and has a pair of glasses hidden in her hand from the back.

"How may I help you?" She smiled back, despite being embarrassed in front of the group.

"Ameria, can we get a green door? This few here is in need for a little break," the way Riven talked in his natural tone says that he's familiar with the girl.

"I-Is that it? Here's the key," the way she said her words before handing out a key to them a shaking a little, but she managed to keep it steady.

"Well then, shall we go?" Hiruki insisted.

As they opened the door, it was directed into an amazing place. It was huge, and more the enough for eleven of them. It has a traditional Japanese-styled place, though it's a little different in some manner.

The whole place was like a house that's square. Inside the square-shaped place, it has a small pond in it and a Sakura tree or a cherry tree in it's blooming state. The inside of the square is totally filled with medium sized pebbles colored grey, white, and some are also black.

"You guys can go to the hot springs to get healed, I'll have a talk with Ameria to discuss about something," Riven said while he walks away.

"I'll come with you!" Hela came running towards Riven's direction.

"Feiro, escort them, we'll be going now," Athena ordered as she left with the twins and Ireena.

"Where are our destination?" Hiruki asked as he diverted his gaze on the two ways where the two group went over and over.

"Those guys. . . Actually, we will be going that way, too," Feiro pointed at the direction where the girls went, "They left us here. How dare they leave me here!" He added in his clown-like voice.

"Well then, let's just go," Gin insisted.

The five went towards where the girls did, but stopped at a different room where boys goes. Of course, they wouldn't forget about their towels.

Inside were many men, which was unexpected for them. From the outside, the room you're about to enter is small, but when you get inside, it's filled with mens and it's huge, which was unexpected.

"How did this happened?" Goro was bewildered by what's in front.

"That door is a dimensional gate that connects all doors occupied by guests. It's magic. Magic, boy," Feiro laughed.

After dipping into the warm water, Gin asked, "What is this place for?"

"For a special purpose, healing. This water can remove fresh scars, heal wounds, internally and externally, and heal any body problem like fractured bones, cursed body, or even impurities if the water's strong enough," Feiro explained.

"Cursed body? Won't is affect my health," Hiruki was worried.

"Haha! Don't worry, it only heals, not kills. It won't work on a high-ranking species like a devil or something," Feiro sounded like a clown even more.

"Is that so?" Hiruki sighed in relief.

"Uh... Uhm, Koshiro? It's moving," Goro sounded a little in panic, making others divert their attention to them.

"What is that?" Feiro was shocked by the moving tattoo on Koshiro's back.

"I. . . Uhh, this is. . ." Koshiro can't say a word as he was embarrassed by people looking at his tattoo with wonder.

"Koshiro, can't you do something?"Gin whispered.

"Feiro, that is a living tattoo, can't you do something?" Hiruki asked, but Feiro just gestured a 'no'.

Slowly, the two dragons separated into two, and now, there's four of them. They slowly spiraled on Koshiro's back on the right shoulder while gradually shrinks, forming a shape of vortex in it.

"We're not injured, so why not just leave?" Koshiro chucked nervously.

Nodding in agreement, the five went out and changed to their clothes, and went out, but bumped into the girls with Hela and Riven with them.

"Is something wrong, my dear friend?" Feiro asked.

"No. I just want to bring this kinds in a check-up with Ameria.

*Ameria's Counter*

"T-This one's also fine, though," Ameria said in a nervous tone.

"Why am I last?" Koshiro muttered.

When they reached the outside, Ameria said that Koshiro's going last and gave the order from the twins to Koshiro, which made them curious.

"Y-Your clothes, please," Ameria said, and Koshiro took his upper clothes off.

"What. . .in the world?" Ameria looked at the tattoo on his back.

"A vortex?" Athena wondered.

"No. This one was supposed to be two dragons," said Riven looking at the silent boys.

"It became four and formed that," Koshiro spoke in place of the others.

"This is a familiar," Everyone was shocked.

"Another familiar?!" Gin was in deep shock.

"This one's special. You get this when you are born or firstly transferred here, in other terms, but only activates once you finished clearing a certain event by yourself. It could be your Prologue or a Special Awakening. Not anyone can undergo that," Ameria explained.

"Probably, it trying to take the same shape as Koshiro's Soul Core, which has a different shape then the other. This dragon probably crawled in different places of his body just to take form of his Soul Core," Ameria added.

"What can this do?" Koshiro asked.

"Each are different, and can't be inherited through magic or blood. What it can do is also different, so I don't know. Sorry," Ameria replied.

"It might've struggled because of Aeris," Koshiro whispered.

"Whatever it is, let's go, it's starting. It just announced a few minutes ago," Riven looked at Ameria and nodded. After that, she snapped and everyone was back at the place.

"Next battle, Goro and Derk!" The EMCEE announced just in time.

In front of Goro was a heavily armored man, and Goro was different. His clothes were plain, until it changed in a flick. His armor was different like the other. In fact, it only looked like he was wearing a prince's armor that was not heavily made.

Without a warning, Derk went front, not giving the EMCEE a word to say. Spikes came from the ground, and Derk grabbed it trying to peirce it into Goro.

Not giving the other a chance, Goro activated his earth magic and a wall shaped like the half of a sphere cap appeared in front of Goro, blocking the attack.

The attacks didn't stopped then. The guy went for Goro's back, making Goro create another wall making a whole sphere cap, enveloping him. Taking advantage of Goro, Derk attacked from the outside to cut it along with Goro, but Goro felt a reaction from the Gnomes, so he stepped back a little, evading the attack.

"Gnomes, Gnomes, Rulers of the Earth, Lend me your power. Earth Dome!" With those words, a large some made out of soil captured the two inside, not letting the others from the outside see.

"Now, it's time for Deshy to show off!" An eyeball was formed when the EMCEE spoke and lasers came out of the eyeball to dig a hole into the wall to see inside.

Not long after it went inside, projections from a screen came out where Goro and Derk was. Goro was standing there wile Derk can't move because of many spikes covered the whole dome-like place, pointing at Derk.

"Winner: Goro!" Deshy announced after seeing it.

"Not bad," Gin said as Goro went inside.

"One more person left," They all looked at Hiruki who was anxious right there, and Hela was also. Winning or losing, Hela will take him, anyway. It's because she sees a potential in him by just a glance.
