Chapter 10_ Stop Staring!

I looked behind and wondered who was it that ordered the librarian to allow us to take the books.

I mean, there was no one we knew in the school yet who was capable of making such orders.

I almost couldn't believe my eyes when I saw him.

The tall slim figure had short blonde hair that complemented his light-skinned tone. Hands in his pocket and walking our way was the Annoying jerk!

He walked to the counter not looking at me

and the awestruck girls.

I knew the girls were only marveling at his beauty and nothing else.

Wait, did I just admit he was beautiful?

Ok, maybe he was. He was not only beautiful, his body, hair, eyes, and even his cheek which had deep holes in them.

I never noticed he had dimples until when he neared us and smiled shortly at the librarian he just referred to as Cass.

A man with dimples, oh God.

You didn't have to make him so excellent!

Beauty without character was not beauty at all, so yeah l am proud to picture him as a flawed fellow.

He was good-looking, had a nice body, nice hair, and even dimples but he had an awful character so he cannot be considered as beautiful!

Good, now I feel better. He was a flawed bingo.

"Hello senior Katz" the librarian greeted him with respect.

"Hahaha" I laughed loudly Which made the girls, The librarian, and him glance at me. If only they knew what I was thinking, Katz?

Isn't Katz a feminine name?

As if it could not get better the annoying jerk's name was Katz, and the flaw circle I created for him just got bigger.

I refused to believe anyone can be so perfect, I started counting his flaws for him.

"Hello Katz" he ignored my unreasonable giggling once again acting as Though I didn't exist.

"Allow them to take the books, the school just notified me the newbies can take what they do want from the library except for books that had gloaming contents " he moved closer and examined the books we placed on the counter and the girl's gazes traveled with his every move.

"I believe these books are within the rules and can still be lent to the newbies. Let them have the books." he finalized and walked away.

"Thank you!" Mackenzie shouted behind him. She was exceptionally grateful.

Oh, Damn me for thinking he told the librarian to allow us have the books because of me.

It was because of the new rules!

I almost cried in embarrassment even though no one else knew what I thought except for me, I still feel. embarrassed at me.

We took the books and went to sit at a table I opened the first page of a book which "Boss your Emotions" was written on its front page.

Mackenzie took another book and started reading while Mia was also buried in a book. She was already reading it before we even sat down.

"Look!" Mia whispered

We were in the library and we were not supposed to talk so we whispered to one another.

"Look! Here" Mia turned the book she was reading to us.

It was a subheading that had "Emotional control skills" written in block letters. We read and studied together and we were able to find useful things that could help Mackenzie.

Senior Katz sat opposite us and I didn't notice him at first. When I did, I couldn't help but steal glances at him. I was thinking about how could someone be so unconcerned about others because I did not

get him when Mia's voice broke my thoughts.

"I know, he's great right? " I had to look at

Mackenzie to confirm she Mia was speaking to me.

When I saw that Mia's gaze was fixed on me

"who?" I whispered back the question.

"The senior you've been looking at, the one that told the librarian to allow us to take books" she replied.

"What are you talking about? "I feigned ignorance as if I didn't know what she was talking about.

"Common girl, don't act like you're a 5 yearold it's okay to crush a guy. An hot guy at that" she shrugged.

What?

Crush?

I coughed loudly which made everyone look

our way. Her words choked me.

"No Mia, you are mistaken. He was the senior that brought me here." I replied.

Mia shrugged and went back to her reading. Mackenzie didn't contribute to our

discussion, her total concentration was on the books.

I was very quick in hastening the girls up.

I didn't wanted to see him anymore because if I should continue seeing him, I'm afraid I will continue staring up to the point where he would come to me himself and told me to stop.

That would definitely make the most embarrassing moment of all times. I might cry or starve myself to death if that ever happens.

I huddled the books away from the girls when they refused to listen causing their faces to contort into a disapproval glare.

"Just stay, I will be back soon." I told them as they stood up from their seats.

"Meet us outside then" Mackenzie told me and I nodded.

I would do anything to get away from him. I went to the counter to register the submission of the books.

"You return the book back to its place yourself. You don't expect a senior to do that for you." the librarian told me after checking the books and making sure it was complete.

This school will continue to faze me, it doesn't fail in surprising me.

I mean, wasn't it the job of the librarian to return the books back to its place!

I walked back mumbling to myself. I got to the shelf where we took the books and placed them back in their places.

As I was about to turn, a hand held me from behind.

I turned and saw the annoying jerk starting emotionless at me.

I gasped in shock at first as I was startled.

"What are you doing?!" I scolded.

"No, I should ask you what you are doing" he said to me in a calm tone.

What was he talking about?

Is he good-looking but stupid? Oh no, that'll be a waste to his well embellished bodyand face.

"Any normal person with normal eyes would see I am returning the books back to the shelf" I said while stressing the words.

"That's not what I'm talking about " he held my arm tightly.

"Ouchhh" I cried out in pain. "Are you crazy? You're hurting me" I said to him with bloodshot eyes red from anger.

"I know you have been staring at me all along" he said the words like they were nothing.

I coughed again, why we're people doing this

to me today?

"Me? Stare at you?" You must be hallucinating" I tried to make my voice stern to hide the shaky breaths I was starting to have.

He was scaring the hell out of me. "I guess not then" he said and walked away.

I stood transfixed where I was staring at him like he was some psycho. He did act like a psycho.

I was still looking at his retrieving steps when someone whispered to me. "Don't be surprised, he is a demon controller. He is always suspicious of

people who stare at him for long periods" I heard a masculine voice explain behind me.

"Ohh I see, he's scary" I whispered.

"He is but wouldn't be if you had not kept on

staring at him" the voice said behind me again.

What?

I turned to discover a young male, he is probably twenty or nineteen because of the young look his face carried.

He had a slim figure and was ransacking the shelf like he was looking for a book.

"No, no no" I said instantly.

Today should be named the day everyone accuses Medusa!

He laughed mockingly at me " It's fine, there's nothing wrong with a woman looking at such a good-looking man." he said

I couldn't say anything as I stood embarrassed and speechless.

"I am Ajax of the second year" he introduced himself to me and extended his hand forward.

"Hello senior Ajax, I am Medusa" I took his

hand and shook them.

"Oh please remove the senior title, you can talk to me informaly" he waved his hand.

I didn't know what to say so I said nothing and only nodded with a smile.

"I see you and your friends are searching for something?" he asked me, I didn't know if that was supposed to be a question or he was only affirming.

Well my loud-mouthed self started explaining the whole stuff to him. "Yes you see my friend Mackenzie, she is 18 and doesn't know how to control her ability. It is giving her lots of stress and

we're afraid she might freak out soon but the school wanted us to take things slow. I mean, the way they've been teaching us, believe they are taking things steady and slow so we decided to come find books that could help her."I concluded.

He nodded " I see, that's just how the school is. They want students to take things slow. They do not understand how we feel and the need for us to be taught how to perfect our powers." he said to me.

Does that mean when I get my powers theschool won't be so helpful yet until I freak out?

I don't want to be messed up like

Mackenzie so l got scared a little bit.

As if he noticed the look on my face " You do not have to be worried. Some of us students who felt we could do a lot for ourselves the school included or not formed a night group "he paused to see my

reaction.

A group?

"What type of group?" I got curious

" It is a secret away from the teachers, I'll tell you but you have to keep it a secret" he looked at me with a bargaining look.

I do not have my powers yet but I believe this opportunity would be useful to Mackenzie.

"Yes, sure count on me" I ushered him.

"I will tell you more tonight, come to the school's basement then you will find out more yourself" he said and turned his back to me like he was about to walk away.

"Wait! I don't know there" I said, to him.

"You will know it when you see it, the type of person that you are, it will be no hard work for you to locate the basement " he said and finally walked away.

I watched him leave and wondered who he was. The strange aura I felt by his presence raised my curiosity.

The girls needed to know about this too, I decided.

We'll go out to the basement tonight.
