Chapter 11_Which Way?

As excited as I was about discovering a quick way out for Mackenzie, I still felt a bit skeptical about going to meet this Ajax and his group.

I remembered mama's words about working your ways till you get to the top and not looking for shortcuts.

Well this situation was not about climbing to tops, it was about helping a friend out. Ok maybe a little to settle my own curiosity too.

I don't know what the school would think about a secret group formed by students but since Ajax was a senior student and he and his group had been doing it without being caught, I guess it was safe to go too.

There was nothing wrong with being ahead of

the class. Or maybe something was wrong with going against the school rules.

Ahh....I do not know.

My brain refuses to process such ambiguous information.

I think I'll go inform the girls and go with whatever they decide. I rushed out to meet the girls but didn't see them outside.

Where the hell were they?

They couldn't have left me here and go on their own could they?

I decided to go to the hostel to look for them.

I walked back to the hostel and soon I got there.

I met some of my mates outside the hostel building chit chatting.

It was nice everyone was getting along.

I saw the triple D rangers too, they were listening to music and dancing slightly.

I was looking at the girls I met on the one way after the other, I wanted to know my mates well.

They were all not too bad, some were chubby, some slim, Some pretty, some not. A girl sitting alone by her doorstep caught my attention.

She had silver hair and when she looked up at me, her silver eyeball made me gape at her a bit more.

It was a unique feature she possessed, silver hair, silver eyeball.

She looked like those freaks in the super heroes comics I read.

When she saw me, a look of familiarity spurred across her face like I was someone she had seen before.

I wondered if I'd seen her before but I was sure I haven't as our eyes locked.

She kept on staring at me as I walked away giving rise to the increase in my pace. This school sure had psychos, I muttered as I walked away.

I walked quickly as I approached our room, I stopped observing my mates. Yeah, I stopped looking, damn getting to know my mates.

My mates were weirdos.

l opened the door of our room and indeed met the girls in, laying in bed gisting about something

"So you girls didn't actually wait for me!" I

hollered.

"We did but left when you decided to take forever to return the books." Mia replied me with a calm anger.

"If only you knew what kept me, you'd give me accolades not scolds" I threw my hands up.

Sacrificed my time for them just to receive scolding from them.. Girls.

"Yeah we would gladly give you accolades for wasting our time to flirt with the handsome senior." She replied me sarcastically while placing her two hands on her laps.

Arghh. I wished for the earth to collapse on senior Katz right now, this would be like the hundredth time today someone would accuse me for either staring at him or flirting with him.

"I wasn't..." I tried to explain but decided to save my breath and strength for something better.

These people already decided I was trying to flirt with the scary Katz, no amount of explanation I give would make them change their minds.

I sat on my bed and gazed at the ungrateful girls

"Anyway, think what you like but what kept me from coming on time was me trying to look for a way out for our dear Mackenzie here and I did make some findings, useful discoveries" I said with pride as I sat on my bed looking away from them because I

knew I have arouse their curiosity.

The girls looked at me with a friendly gaze that showed they were interested in what I had to say.

"Spill the beans" Mackenzie crossed her hands over her chat and said to me.

"What? I thought you were mad at me for staying long and flirting with the senior so you couldn't wait for me" I said again with pride as a sarcastic smile travelled acrosss my face.

It was my time to show off

"Do you have to be such a baby?" Mia adjusted her glasses to sit well on the ridge of her nose and said to me scornfully.

"Oh you're still being sarcastic when you're seeking an information from me?" I twisted my head and pouted my lips in pride.

I would make them beg before telling them about Ajax, they needed to learn to be grateful.

To my surprise "Ok then, eat what you found out and I hope it fills up your flat stomach" Mackenzie made a remark and slept in her bed.

What?

Oh no, these girls were not only ungrateful, they were savages, barbarians!

My plan just failed they were not going to beg.

"I met a senior, a second year student. He told me about a secret group formed by students to help themselves since the school was taking everything on a slow pace. 18 students needed prompt attention according to him if the didn't want to loose their mind so I figured it'd be a good

opportunity for Mackenzie" I said in a fast manner, rushing all the words out of my mouth like I had hot soup in my mouth.

Well I did it intentionally, I was going to give them the unclear information since they were annoying they didn't deserve the clear one.

"Would you slow down! What was all that?" Mackenzie hollered.

These girls!

They still wouldn't beg!

I repeated my words more slowly this time. Mackenzie seemed interested immediately.

"This senior who is he?" Mia sounded skeptical.

"Senior Ajax of the second year" I repeated.

"Where is the group meeting? Mackenzie asked in haste.

"In the school basement" I replied.

"And where is that?" Mia blurted the question.

"I don't know too" I replied. I thought it weird to tell the girls about the words that followed the senior's words.

He said for the kind of person that I am, it wouldn't be hard for me to locate the basement.

I am definitely not telling the girls that.

"So how are we supposed to locate there?" Mackenzie asked .

" I don't know we can ask around for directions" I shrugged.

"Guys, I don't know about this. Sounds weird to me" Mia shifted on her bed and said as a nervous look spreads across her face.

"What do you mean weird?!" Mackenzie almost shouted, startling both me and Mia. I wanted to support Mia's motion before but seeing Mackenzie's reaction now, I kept mute. I don't have the power to fight an 18.

"What if the school find out us and we get in trouble? Moreover who holds a secret group in school away from the public's eyes. You should know it will be up to no good" Mia tried to reason with Mackenzie.

"How about this, we go and check it out and if we find out they're doing bad stuffs there, we wont every go back?" I suggested. Although the senior didn't look like a bad person to me. He looked like a young guy who was only looking out for his mates.

I thiught it won't hurt to go check it out once

I pray I was right, deep down I didn't want to go.

We agreed on going there just this once and if we felt like it was a bad idea, we wwould not return there.

We waited until nighttime and made sure everyone was already in their rooms before we sneaked out.

I was a master when it comes to sneaking out so this was a piece of cake for me. I told the girls to stay behind me and follow my lead.

l opened the door gently and motioned for them to come out.

They stepped outside gently and silently while I expertly shut it without making a single sound.

The girls widened their eyes in amazement of how skillfully I had dealt with the door.

"Long story" I mouthed to them before we stepped out.

We got to the school's main building and was confused as to which direction to follow.

"The great Medusa said we could ask around for directions. Ask around in the middle of the night, ask away milady. You can ask the ghosts." Mackenzie poured out.

She was getting restless by every minute, I felt slightly insulted by her words but I couldn't reply her.

I knew it was the stress making her paranoid.

"Ghosts?are there ghosts here? I hate ghosts" Mia curled up to me.

I shoved her away but not too harsh " There is nothing like ghosts Mia" I said to her and then.. "Do you have to be such a baby?" I repeated the words she said to me previously in retaliation.

"Now what Medusa?" Mackenzie asked facing me.

Well I don't know! I wanted to shout. Why were they pushing it all on me?

I was just trying to help out. I was about to tell her I had no idea or maybe we should just go back when I felt a familiar aura.

It was so overwhelming that I couldn't resist. It was sending sweet sensations to my vitals and a sense of belonging aura to my system.

Immediately, I knew the way!

It was as if something was calling on to me in that direction,as though something was buried deep there. Something that shared a bond with me, something that felt like family.

I was quite surprised at what I was feeling, I have never felt anything like that before.

"Over here girls" I said to the girls who followed me swiftly while I walked to an unknown destination.
