782. Mauve’s Input

Mauve slowly woke up to Jael getting out of bed. "Jael," she softly called as she moved to a sitting position.

"Get some more sleep," Jael said. "It's still early."

"No," she shook her head, yawning a little. "I have slept enough, and I also want to speak to the guests before the first meal. Hopefully, they can join us this time. I am sure they are awake. The sun should still be up."

"It will be sunset soon," Jael replied. "You don't have to exert yourself. You can assign Mill to ask the servants to do that." Jael's face looked a little stern as he spoke, but Mauve knew he was just worried.

If she listened to him, she would lay in bed practically all day, neither moving nor lifting a finger. Absolutely not. At least he didn't give extreme orders, and if she insisted hard enough, he listened to her.
