The Four Lords Of Vallat

The sunlight's peaked inside Ariel's room from the high window, reminding her that it was morning.

Ariel yawned lazily and work up ignoring the noise that was coming from the door because her two maids were the ones knocking. She made her way to the bathroom, brushed her teeth, and took a cold bath. After she got dressed she opened the door for her maids.

Both of them were shocked to see Ariel all dressed up. If the King finds out about it, they'll be scolded and might as well be thrown inside the River of Valox. As for Ariel, she could take care of herself. She loved doing things on her own. Seeing the worried look on both Nadia's and Sabre's faces made her laugh inwardly. What are they so scared of?

"My Lady." They both greeted in unison and gave their curtsey.

Today Ariel was going to dine with the Lords of Vallat. They were invited by King Vladimir.

The maids led her to the dining room. No one was present and she sighed in relief. The dishes were already served and everything occupied the dining table. It was as if they were going to hold a feast.

Ariel sat on her seat and started eating without waiting for the King or the Lords to come.

A few minutes later, the King's arrival was announced and he came in with the Lords.

King Vladimir frowned when he saw Ariel eating without waiting for his arrival. Ariel didn't spare him a glance as she bore a grudge against him.

The Lords positioned themselves in a seat. Ariel looked up to greet them and she formally greeted the King which caught them by surprise. She was supposed to address him as her husband. Instead of "Your Majesty."

King Vladimir introduced Ariel to the Lords. "She's Princess Ariel from the Kingdom of Macbeth."

"She's your wife, right? One of the Lords with golden hair asked raising his brow in confusion.

"You can say that." King Vladimir didn't waste any time and he continued with the introduction. "Princess Ariel, they're the four Lords of Vallat." King Vladimir was a bit slow with the introduction and the Lords became impatient and went on to introduce themselves.

"I'm Lord Raul." He was the first among the Lords and was the King's royal advisor. He looked older than King Vladimir. Lord Raul has an elegant features with his long golden hair resting on his shoulders.

"I'm Lord Louisville but Louis for short." He's in charge of the King's army. His inky black hair was a bit long but was not as handsome as the rest Lords.

"I'm Lord Orpheus, I'm in charge of the supreme court of Vallat. I must say you look beautiful my Princess." He stood up and took Ariel's hand and kissed her knuckles. The other Lords weren't surprised by Lord Orpheus's actions. He was the jovial one among them and was a pervert. He was more handsome than the two other Lords.

It was the turn of the last Lord to give an introduction but he didn't care as he ate his good in peace with all eyes on him. King Vladimir reminded him of his introduction.

"Aren't you going to introduce yourself to the Princess?" He asked with a frown.

The last Lord didn't spare any of them a glance and went on to introduce himself by saying just his name.

"Luthur." He spoke with a cold tone and began to eat. He was in charge of the importation and exportation. Also with other multitask duties related to the management of Vallat.

Lord Luthur was younger than the other Lords. Ariel admired his facial appearance. Lord Luthur and King Vladimir were often mistaken as brothers because of their resemblance except for the marks on King Vladimir's face. He never spoke a word till they were all done with the food.

Ariel suddenly became interested in him but Lord Luthur acted as if she didn't exist. He'll glare at her whenever their eyes met.

His features were a great sight to behold. Ariel couldn't help but admire him and wished he was the one she got married to instead of the mean King.

Meanwhile, King Vladimir knew everything that Ariel was thinking about. The more he heard her thoughts the angrier he becomes. Her thoughts disgust him.

The only reason he could hear her thought while they were eating was that he was interested in what she'll be thinking. Curiosity can kill a man and his curiosity made him want to know what was running through Ariel's mind and now they are of no good.

To this extent, Ariel thought about having a one-night stand with Lord Luthur. This made King Vladimir choke while eating and the servants quickly attended to him. He threw a death glare at Ariel who remained quiet

Lord Orpheus was the one to talk and he made the atmosphere lively. Ariel learned from him that they'll be spending three days in the castle. Only God knew how Ariel wished for Lord Luthur's room to be next to hers but King Vladimir had other plans.

She was interested in the kind of personality he has and thought he might be in his early twenties because of his appearance. Only if she knew that he was even older than her father.

Ariel was the youngest among the five men. The men talked about politics and the state and condition of the Kingdom but King Luthur remained silent and only spoke a few words.

His voice echoed in Ariel's head. She was so attracted to him that she couldn't get her eyes off him. Lord Luthur spoke majestically. One could mistake him for the King.

King Vladimir was already pissed up by Ariel's thought and threw a tantrum. He angrily sent Ariel to her room and without hesitation, Ariel left and that was when Lord Luthur noticed her. King Vladimir gazed at Lord Luthur who had a serious expression on his face but unfortunately for him, she couldn't read Luthur's mind.
