Out Of Curiosity

Oliver felt his blood boil. Prince Richard was seeking a death wish only because of a woman. The confident smile on his face made Oliver's veins poke out of his neck in anger. He felt like strangling Prince Richard to death.

"Are you out of your mind? You don't even have the power to use it neither do you know any sorcerer." Oliver yelled.

Prince Richard felt insulted by Oliver's words. "You don't have the right to tell or talk to me in that manner. You're just the Duke's son while I'm the crown prince of Anoid." He boasted.

Oliver stood up about to leave. He insisted on talking some sense into the so-called crown prince before he leave. Prince Richard was turning into something else and was unusually acting stubborn. "You want to die just because of a woman that can never be yours." He left in annoyance with a loud thud. Oliver cursed Prince Richard outwardly since he wasn't inside the training room with the nonchalant Prince.

That was how the friends were separated. They parted ways just because of Richard's selfishness. Oliver turned his back on Prince Richard and anticipated killing him and becoming the next King of Anoid but how was he going to do that when he doesn't have l blood running in his vein?

Meanwhile, the woman that Prince Richard was aimlessly fighting for was in the King of Vallat's custody.

Ariel was caught trying to sneak into the East Wing and outsmart the guards that were guarding it until the King showed up and detected her every move. He knew exactly what Ariel was trying to do, just by reading her thought and her secrets were blown.

"What are you doing here?" King Vladimir stared sternly at Ariel. "Didn't I warn you not to trespass." He yelled angrily. The guards that were guarding the place were terrified.

Ariel was already climbing the stairs leading to the East wind when she got caught. How did she get past them?

Now they were all worried about losing their job and much worst, getting beheaded.

Oh no! He's furious. Ariel cursed inwardly. She paused in her tracks. She was so close. What a mess!

The woman turned around smiling mischievously. King Vladimir sent his guards away, they probably would meet their end. It was just the husband and the wife left on the premises.

King Vladimir was like a hungry lion trying to catch his prey and his prey was his wife.

Ariel's body was shaking like jelly; she was terrified about what her husband was going to do next. King Vladimir furiously walked up to her, held her wrist tightly and he took her to her room.

What was going through the mind of this terrifying man? Arielle didn't know. She was clouded with fear. The fear was that he was going to devour her like a hungry wolf or send her away from the castle.

"What are your reasons for disobeying my rule?" King Vladimir asked leaning against the door of Ariel's room. Ariel was standing opposite him, she wished for the ground to open and swallow her but the ground didn't obey her.

How was she going to answer him? She only did that out of curiosity!

Seeing that his guilty wife was not answering him. He pushed her to fall on her bed and pinned her, he was on top of her. He placed his hands on her sides to prevent her from moving but her hands were free. Arielle stopped herself from admiring him, she shut her eyes tightly because she knew she was in a huge mess.

"Answer me, Arielle." King Vladimir demanded but he wasn't rash about it this time.

Arielle!

It was the first time she called her name without adding the formal title. The way he called her name echoed in her head. His voice was like music to her ears. Ariel opened her eyes slowly, she was already out of breath. Her eyes were searching for something on his face, the markings. His hair covered it.

His hair has rapid growth. She thought to herself. She wanted to see the marks on his face again. It made him look more handsome. Again, Ariel was curious to know if the marks were still on his face, and her curiosity took over her. The latter raised her shaky hands to remove the hair that fell on his face.

But she was too slow and he was too fast to grab her hand. Remember, he could read what was going through her mind and she was unaware of it.

"You're trying to break another rule?" He asked with a knotted brow.

Ariel snapped back to reality. "I'm sorry. I won't do that next time." She pleaded.

King Vladimir pushed himself up and say besides the breathless woman who was trying to catch her breath.

"Next time?" He scoffed. "There will be no next time." He growled.

Ariel was scared to the core. She regretted breaking his damn rule. Darn it! She was finished.

"Why were you trying to go to the East wind?" King Vladimir asked. Ariel managed to make herself sit before she could think of what to say to him, their lips were already sealed.

Ariel was startled. It wasn't intense, King Vladimir stopped and left her alone in her room.

Still thinking about what just happened, her thoughts ran wild. She wished they had done more than that. He just placed his lips on hers and roamed wild inside her mouth.

King Vladimir on the other hand didn't take what happened between them seriously. He just punished her indirectly and in an intimate way that will make her not feel anything. He smirked evilly for a job well done and strode out of the castle with his men.

Back in Ariel's room, she couldn't stop thinking about what happened. She placed her index finger on her lip because she could still inhale his sweet smell.

Only to find out that her finger was stained with blood. She thought she got injured on her finger but she didn't see any injury. She ran to the dressing mirror only to find out that her lip was bleeding. What has he done to her lips? Ariel hissed in pain. It was now that she was feeling a sting of pain.
