Unfair to me

Marissa woke up to the sound of her alarm blaring in her ear, groaning as she reached over to turn it off. As she opened her eyes, she looked over at the framed photo of her and Justin on the bedside table, a small smile tugging at the corners of her lips. It had been taken on their last vacation together, a beautiful memory that seemed so far away now.

But as Marissa sat up, she couldn't shake off the feeling of exhaustion that had been weighing on her for weeks. Between work, dealing with Alicia, and trying to maintain her relationship with Justin, she was running on fumes. She grabbed her phone to check up on him, but it was unreachable. She sighed, feeling a pit of anxiety form in her stomach. She couldn't help but worry about what he was up to, especially with Emma now living in their house.
