Ivan: What? My Ambitions Expanded Again?

After receiving the Alchemy Notes, Ivan eagerly went back to study them.

Asia waved her wand and released a few flames that landed on Burke's chest. The flames burned brighter and brighter as they licked the corpse.

Moments later, the fire was extinguished by Isia, and Burke's body was reduced to ash…

After destroying the corpse, Alicia turned around and left. She had been through too much today, and she needed time to digest what she had just heard. She also needed to think about how to help Ivan complete such a huge plan…

On the other side of the room, Ivan was flipping through his Alchemy notes when a system prompt sounded in his head.

Ivan paused for a moment as he flipped through the pages of the book. It took him a moment to remember that he had received this assignment during the summer holidays of his first year.

With that in mind, Yvonne opened the taskbar and checked.

Objective: Subdue the werewolf wizards of Knockturn Alley

Task Reward: Strong Wolf Venom Potion Formula (uncollected)

"Is this because I officially hired those werewolf wizards?" Ivan muttered, rubbing his chin as he looked at the mission panel.

He had been on good terms with Fran and the others since last summer, and had even been able to get them to help him with things.

However, Ivan found it strange that he was unable to complete this mission, so he temporarily put it to the back of his mind. He did not expect a notification to pop up today.

It seemed that he was the one who told Walker that he was willing to hire them…

"Receive my reward!" Ivan chanted to himself as he figured it out.

The next moment, the recipe for the powerful wolf venom potion appeared in the system column.

Ingredients: werewolf blood, Carebloom, sage root, wolf-shaped aconite, lone plant, moonstone powder…

Description: This is a special modified potion that allows a werewolf wizard to freely control his or her transformation for fifty days and remain conscious throughout the process.

Remarks: werewolves in this state are no longer capable of infection.]

Ivan was surprised to see the effects of the potent wolf venom potion.

This was different from what he had expected. It did not have the ability to completely cure a werewolf, but in a way, it was more powerful than curing a werewolf!

This was because it would greatly increase the combat effectiveness of Fran and the others!

After all, the physical fitness of a werewolf is enhanced, and they have a certain amount of magic resistance and extraordinary recovery ability.

It would be a nightmare for most wizards if they were sane!

It can be seen from the previous raid on Borgin and Burkes that Walker was able to withstand several of these spells, causing panic and chaos, facilitating the subsequent easy defeat of the black-robed wizards by Doggett and the others.

"Looks like we've got something to report!" Ivan said, sounding relieved.

He knew that part of the reason Flan and the others were siding with him was because they were hoping that he could develop a potion that could cure werewolves.

The powerful Wolfsbane Potion could not do this yet, but it was one step closer to its goal.

[New mission activated!]

As Ivan was thinking about this, the system notification sounded in his head again.

Ivan was not too surprised. Since the previous mission was the first, there must be a second and a third, so he flipped through them.

Ivan looked at the mission details and notes on the mission board and was speechless.

He just wanted to be a lazy wizard who studied magic every day, earned a little gold, and lived a leisurely life, instead of thinking about how to mess around all day!

Just look at the first two Dark Lords, each more miserable than the other. Ivan felt that he was living a good life and did not have any great ambitions. It was better not to court death!

The most important thing was that the reward for this mission was ordinary. It was an extremely powerful spell that he could not use — the Fidelius Charm!

The spell's single effect was to hide a person's secret forever within a living soul.

For example, in the original timeline, Dumbledore placed a Fidelius Charm on James and Lily's house to keep them safe, turning the house's existence into a secret and hiding it in the soul of Peter Pettigrew the Secret-Keeper.

When the spell took effect, the house was protected by a powerful enchantment that prevented anyone else who knew of its location from ever telling them.

As long as the Secret-Keeper does not betray us, even if Voldemort sticks his nose in the living-room glass of James's house, he will not find them!

There was only one known way to break the Fidelius Charm, and that was for the Secret-Keeper to reveal that Peter Pettigrew had told Lord Voldemort the location of James and Lily.

If the Secret-Keeper died in the process, then all those who still knew about it would become the new Secret-Keeper. The increase in the number of Secret-Keepers meant that if even one of them was a traitor, the secret would be revealed.

Such magic was often used to evade assassination attempts, or to create secret legionary garrisons.

The system obviously meant the latter…

Ivan, however, had no such intention!

Wasn't it nice to be able to earn some gold in the wizarding world, then find a place to slack off and do something interesting?

Why go through all this trouble and risk being hunted down by the Ministry of Magic and the Order of the Phoenix…
