The Girl Who Looked Like Death!

"Hello Scarlett."

Those words kept ringing in her head.

When Scarlett's senses returned, she sprinted as quickly as she could outside of the bathroom.

The animal knows her name. How on earth could that be? How was it possible for her to see an animal's reflection in the mirror? Why does she feel this way? Scarlett pondered, but she could find no answers.

She was uncomfortable throughout the lecture as a result of the reflection she noticed in the mirror. Scarlett only knew that what she was seeing was very real and that she wasn't dreaming. She put her hand behind her ear and started to scratch. She noticed how loud the teacher's voice was as he was speaking to the entire class, and she began to perspire.

Cornelia leaned over from the back seat and asked, "Is everything alright with you?" She mumbled, "Scarlett."

Scarlett, who was occupying a seat in the front row, turned her head a little Cornelia's way. She uttered "I am good" in a whisper as well.

"No, you are not. We need to go to the nurse's office to look into that. You are bleeding behind your ear."

"I'm bleeding?"

"Yes, Scar. You are bleeding. You don't even have nails. How are you able to hurt yourself?"

It was strange. Scarlett thought. She is only now beginning to experience pain. If she was bleeding, it suggests that she was not even conscious of hurting herself.

Scarlett let go of her ponytail and her hair fell to her back to cover her blood. She turned her head back to the board and said, "I am fine, Cornel," trying to stay focused. She moved her hand back to her ear to see if she was bleeding, but when she brought her hand to her face to check for blood, she found none. She had felt the blood when Cornel told her, but now she was unable to see any. Has it once more recovered on its own?

After taking a deep breath, Scarlett noticed that something odd-smelling appeared to be blowing her way. It smelled strongly of pine and good garden soil. She quickly put her hand over her nose to block it and looked over her shoulder to find the source of the smell.

She noticed a girl with dark hair and pale skin.

Adolpha!

Her golden eyes were fixed on Scarlett as well. It was obvious that she was where the smell was coming from. She has always looked like death ever since Scarlett first met her.

Scarlett had never spoken to her before, okay maybe once, but she didn't see the point in doing so anymore.

Adolpha had never been fond of her. Everyone does, but for some reason Adolpha doesn't, and it is obvious from Adolpha's behavior that she doesn't like Scarlett.

Adolpha smirked at Scarlett, and Scarlett immediately turned her face back to the board. "What the hell?" Scarlett whispered to herself.

"She is bitten." Her smirk turned to a shock!

Adolpha's eyes grew wider when she noticed that the alpha was the one who had bitten Scarlett and not any other werewolf when she looked into Scarlett's eyes. A frown quickly replaced Adolpha's shocking face as she continued to glare at Scarlett.

What on earth has Alpha done?

Adolpha was certain that Scarlett had been kept alive by the Alpha for a reason even though she hadn't yet developed a scent. Why, of all people, did he decide to make her a Theta?

Simon and his wolf, Devil, had never expressed forgiveness to anyone since she had gotten to know them. If he intended to kill her, why would he keep her alive? Scarlett ought to have died; in that case, her existence would have been meaningless.

Adolpha shifted her focus from Scarlett to the window and looked outside. She had her hand firmly in her lap as she began to mind-link Anton.

"You sound angry, sister. When a human irritates you, I always advise you to kill them to build up your strength so your eyes can change color."

"I'm not upset about that, Anton," Adolpha said.

"Then clarify for me, my princess, what is motivating your irate tone."

"I thought you were always by the alpha side, Anton."

"I don't understand what you're saying. Are you talking about Simon? Did you tell him how you felt? Did he reject you?"

"No. It is worse than that. Alpha Simon had created a Theta, and she is someone I have always hated ever since I got into the human school."

Anton began to chuckle. "That is not possible. Simon hates humans, so when he haunts, he always finishes what he started. Perhaps the girl you're looking at might have been bitten by a rogue, but not Simon."

An enraged Adolpha cried, "But Anton, I can smell him on her. Scarlett O'Hara has consistently been my foe. She has a large following of admirers, comes from a prosperous family, and excels academically. Although Scarlett doesn't yet understand who she is, I believe these feelings are already present in her because she smelled me, Anton. She recognizes my scent, so how should I react if she eventually joins our pack and moves in close proximity to Simon?"

Anton sighed, "If you are not happy about her being the right hand of Alpha Simon, then kill her. If she joins our pack as a Theta, she'll stay by Simon's side at all times. Adolpha, kill her before she realizes who she is. I can smell your rage, and if you let her go, you might come to regret it. Consider this." In a rage, he said. The fact that Anton has always been a killer won't change.

"I'll do anything for you, and if you want Simon to be yours, I can make that happen, but you must also be vicious, so that you won't let anything annoy you, and that way, you will become the future Luna," Anton added.

That sentence made Adolpha grin. "I'll do as you say, brother," she replied.

With a sly grin, she broke off her mind-link with Anton. Adolpha glanced at Scarlett's seat, but she was gone.

"I'll show you, Scarlett, that I'm in charge everywhere. I will be the Luna, and end your life for good!" Frowning, she continued. "I will accomplish what Simon was unable to do, which is to keep you away. Forever!"

Hi, Readers.

Thank you for getting this far with me. Don't forget to support me and don't forget to review. You guys are the reason I am able to find the strength to write.

The question is... "What will Adolpha really do to Scarlett?" Will she really find every possible way to end Scarlett's life because she is Jealous about Simon keeping her nemesis alive?

Was her Jealousy brought up because she is insecure about Scarlett having to be at Simon's side which is also possible to make Simon fall for her when she joins the pack or how Scarlett would take over the wolf world too just like the way she did in the human school?

If you are curious, find out in the next chapter.

XOXO

Emmaline.
