Scarlett sighed as she made her way to her car. She turned to face Cornelia and Avery. "I believe Principal Peggy will be upset with me when my results are released."


"It's not that bad. I'm sure you did so well." Avery said. 


"Exams ended today, Avery. Our mission is still unfinished. I am aware that we postponed this until after the exams, but a week has passed and we have not discovered any hints." 


"You stated that you would purchase the Rhombus amulet, but you haven't. I believe the exam's pressure caused you to forget." Avery was right. Scarlett made an effort to read that Sunday night. Not for the benefit of her parents, but rather for her own reputation. She then reflected on it. She didn't bother reading anymore; if she joins the pack, she won't need those results. Instead, she tucked her note away and went to sleep.
